View Full Version : Anyone need to lose 200+ lbs? My story…

I have struggled with my weight since I was in Jr. High. In 8th grade I was 6ft and weighed in at 175. By the time I was out of school I was at 275.

One summer I was able to lose 80 pounds of the 275, with the help of a young and beautiful girl. “Whom I wish I had married, but that’s another story.”
After losing her, I started to put on weight slowly. And as it does all of us, one day you step on the scales and bam you have jumped the scales up to 300 pounds.

And like most obese people you don’t get many dates. So you have no need to look better. Then one day I asked this nice looking girl out and what do you know she said yes. After two years of dating and 75 less pounds later we were married. I was able to keep the weight off for 6 years. Then it started to slowly come back. I believe after putting on more than 100 pounds, that had a lot to do with my now x-wife leaving. I always said: She thought the grass on the other side of the fence looked better, so one day she jumped the fence and went grazing.

Anyway after she left with my daughter, I just lost all control. I started to eat more until I reached my current weight of 398, the highest ever.

Well my daughter is now 13 and quite beautiful, “she did not take after her father” THANK GOD!

I decided I want to be around to see her grow up and someday get married, but not before she is 26. And the best way protect her from boys “can’t trust her mother to do that” is to lose that weight and be as healthy as possible.

And there is another “plus side” to losing weight, you look better to the opposite sex.

So if you are out there and need to lose a lot of weight. Let’s do it together.

I took my 1st. Phen today.

Hey Will!

I too need to lose 200lbs, and it's always good to see another guy on the forum. I'm currently 437lbs (most likely lower), but everyone thinks I weigh 350lbs! And don't worry about keeping your daughter too safe. She is 26 and probably wants to protect you from anything. :)

I've been on it for less than 3 weeks, and dropped over 18 lbs, went from 3x to 2x shirts and 2 pants sizes smaller. We're all here for support! :D

BigJoe,

Thanks for saying Hi. I also agree, we need more guys on the site. Nothing wrong with women!

I am on my 2nd day with 15mg Phen. So far so good. Lost 4 lbs in one day.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for sharing your story and Way to go on losing 4lbs! I have been taking phen for a week, but haven't weighed myself yet. I'm afraid of the scale lol. I'm waiting until my doctor's appointment next week to be weighed. I can see that my face looks thinner, so I know I have lost a little. Keep up the good work and stay positive!

Best wishes,
Taylor

Hi and welcome:) I have also had issues with weight since I was a child. I have been up and down and all around though the years because of this or that. Needless to say I am a total emotional eater. This site has so many great people that are very welcoming, encouraging and inspirational. You will come to find how helpful and supportive they all are through out your journey. I know for me I would not have come as far as I have (and will continue to go) with out them! Thank you for sharing your story and I wish you the best of luck!

Iwill - i read your post and it brought tears to my eyes. I have 199 pounds to reach my goal weight. I just started taking the phen on april 21. my oldest daughter went on it after having twins and she had gained 65 pds and has already lost over half that since jan. so i am excited to try this. I have battled my weight for the last seventeen years and i am determined to win this battle. I would love to walk this road with you and bigjoe and anyone else who has so much to loose. (and those who dont have as much) Thanks for sharing your story, I want to take a current photo and then i will post my story as well.
