My side effects-tell me this doesnt last!

I have been on Phentermine 37.5 for 3 days now, and I have to say..."I NEED SLEEP" I was up tossing and turning the last two nights. I feel like im on drugs... well caffiene. (I don't drink coffe because it makes my hands shake and I'm bouncing off the walls for hours)Im so hyper!
Some other symptoms i have are dry mouth, constant need to urinate, cold hands and feet, and rapid heart beat(this only lasts a few minutes about an hour after I take it. My only concern is that I have no appetite whatsoever. I have not been able to eat more than 3 bites of anything the past 2 days. Is this normal?

Maybe you should try to take 1/2 of the pill until your body adjusts. I had bad side effects the first few days and barely got a wink of sleep. I went down to 1/2 a pill and slept much better and the side effects weren't as bad. Now, I just have dry mouth and toss and turn occasionally. I am still losing weight on the 1/2 a pill. Hope this helps!

Above poster is right. My doc put me on 1/2 tab 10-12 hours before bedtime. So far, no side effects. At least none that I can be certain are due to the Phen.

Try taking 500 mcg of melatonin 30 mins before bedtime.

Be patient, these side effects will pass.

I take a whole pill first thing in the AM 37.5 mg - at like 7:00 AM for me. Drink lots of water. If you don't exercise - you won't be able to sleep as well as if you do.

Thanks for the replies!I had a really bad incident last night. I was sitting in bed reading and i started feeling funny. I looked down at my legs and they were completely covered in hives. From hip to toe and my arms. Scary its gone this morning and i had another night with no sleep, i was afraid to take anything else(sleeping pills) after those side effects. I just want to get some sleep and yesterday the people at work thought i was on crack or something.

I had the same thing on my arms happen when I was on the generic of adipex but it was a solid white pill 37.5 mg..but then I changed to the white pill with blue dots and it stopped. The doctor told me I was allergic to it. So far no problems on the white pill with blue dots. Let me know how it goes :)

The not eating is caused by the anoretic effect. Phen is supposed to decrease your appetite. As far as hives goes, that would be a type of allergic reaction. You can take benedryl with phen, not only should it help the hives, but it will also help you to sleep. I agree with the other posters, a whole pill may be too much for you at one time, do try to take half and see how it works for you. For some, it takes increasing to a whole pill gradually.
