Hi,

I used Phentermine about 5 years with great results but I've gained a lot of weight since then and I'm having trouble losing it. I want to start using Phentermine again but I am having a hard time finding a doctor in Northern New Jersey that prescribes it. I did see some threads where people mentioned some doctors in Morristown, Summit, and Irvington and I was wondering what there experiences where like. Do doctors prefer not to prescribe Phentermine and only prescribe it as a last resort? What is a typical visit to a weight loss dr like since I've never been to one?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much
Kris

I live in south jersey and drive down by AC for my doctor. I love it there. The drive is about an hour but it's worth it. I'm sure that's really out of your way and I'm sorry I couldn't be more help to you. =( just wanted you to know someone cared.

Keep looking though, I posted for about a week on here and finally someone reached out to me with a doctor!!

Good Luck!!!! :)

Atlantic City is a little too far away for me but thanks anyway for the reply.

I've been to some local weight loss doctors before and they always try to get me to buy into there special meal plans or milk shake diets but they don't work for me. Phentermine seemed to be the only thing that really worked and helped me loose weight and give me the energy to exercise.
I just don't want to go to another doctor and have them pressure me into buying another one of their plans when I already know what works for me.

Thanks again.

Hi sMaria11,

I haven't really gotten any other responses an I was wondering if you could give me the info for your doctor? It would be worth it for me to make the drive down to AC if I can't find a doctor in my area who will prescribe to me.
Could you also tell me a little bit about the process of meeting with the doctor? Do they try to get you to try other prescriptions or plans? Also how often do you have to go for check-ups? Any info would be great.

Thanks again for your help
