Has anyone ever had any bad experiences when bringing up phen to your doctor?

When I asked my doctor about it (whom I thought was a nice guy - I had been going to him my whole life) he treated me like a druggie! Then he told me that I was lazy and needed to exercise. He made me feel so horrible that I never went back, and I never asked any doctor about Phentermine again.

It wasn't until I found this forum that I decided that I'm going to try a clinic I heard about (on here) in South Shore, OH.

So, have you ever been treated this way? How did you handle it?

WOW! I havent been treated that way, in fact, it is my regular physician who prescribes this for me as a way to kickstart my weight loss. He will only let me stay on it 3 months at a time and I have to go in once a month to be checked. I am sorry this happened to you!

Yes! I totally understand. My Dr. made me feel like a druggie also. I will never go back to him. He is the one who put me on Phen 2yrs ago to begin with. I lost fifty pounds and kept it off until the last 6mths. I put on 20lbs due to the holidays and several personal problems. I thought he would understand and remember all the hard work I went through to loose the weight before. But he made me feel awful for coming back to him and gave me a lecture on behavioral issues. I have no respect for him as a Doctor or a person for that matter. There is a weight loss clinic in my town but it is much more expence than getting it from a regular physician.
Good Luck. Don't let a stupid Doctor get you down!;)
