I get horrible bad breath, does anyone else experience this side effect? What do you all do to combat it...I mean man gets bad. I have tried gum, more water...what do you do.

Also, I get pretty bad sweats. Like I almost feel like my deodarant isnt even doing anything at all. Any suggustions on what do use so I don't fell so smelly.

My dry mouth from taking the meds created the same problem. I've just started using BreathSavers 3 hour sugar free mints in peppermint. They seem to work best for me, along with continuing to drink lots of water. Try them. Good luck!

I have the same problem too - I chew gum alot, floss and brush after I eat, and drink lots of water.. I think the bad breath is a side effect of the drymouth..
I dont get the sweats, but I know a guy on Phen who gets pitted out because of the rise in body heat... i would just keep aware of it and carry deoderant in your bag for a touch up during the day if needed. :)
... and if someone offers you a breath mint - take it! LOL - just kidding!

Caterina - I just sent you a PM :)

(((Jumping up and down))))MMMmeeeee...oooh, meeee..I have stinky breath, too!

I hate it!!!!!! I use listerine, and drink crystal light in my water. It seems to kill the bacteria for a while. No one else seems to be able to smell it.
I was on the Atkins diet once, and the book said this was normal when your body was burning fat, because it was in the ketoacidosis stage.

Yes, I had a really embarrassing experience with it. I keep gum on me at all times.

Hi gal,

I am not sure that whether is your bad breath is fully cure or not.

If your bad breath is not that serious, you may try the following tips:
1.To check your breath: Use your tongue to lick your hand and smell on the spot or you can tell by your friends expression when you talk to them very near
2.Brush your teeth as regular times
3.Use mouth wash which alcohol free and contain fluoride (ex:Oral B)
4.No taking spicy food, meat, onion and the food that cause a strong smell
5.Only take sugar free chewing gum/candy
6.Drink apple cider vinegar
7.No coffee and no alcohol

If problem still not solve, you may reach me.

cheers,

I have had the same problem! Bad breath accompanied by this Irritatingly "ever-present" medicine taste that just sticks in my mouth!

Well, I'm new to Phentermine mind you and I'm sure there are more experienced gals in here with better advice but hon, I'll tell you what I did!

I went to my dentist and bought a Breath** kit! It comes with a tongue scraper, toothpaste, mouthwash, gum etc...it's wonderful! so I use that three times a day and keep the gum with me at all times! I drink tons of water and I'm usually ok after all of that!

I have also been experiencing (for lack of a better term) "Hot Flashes?" One moment I am as cold as an ice block and the next I'm fanning myself and taking my cardigan off! These episodes are few and far between but I live in Utah where it is still pretty chilly so when I experience a flash I take a little stroll outside and I'm ok.

Well that was a pretty long winded response...but I hope I have helped a little bit...if nothing else reassured you that you aren't the only one walking around with "Kitten Breath"

I pop zero calorie breath mints anytime I'm going to be around people. And I've switched to the Secret Clinical Strength deoderant and it seems to be doing the job! :) Degree also has a clinical strength deoderant, which I've bought but haven't tried yet because I haven't finished the Secret. Both are OTC (over-the-counter)!
