View Full Version : I'm freezing! Anyone else get cold feet (and hands) while on phentermine?

I've taken phentermine on and off for weight loss for the past 4 years. I'm back "on" now, and I've noticed that once again I freeze in the evenings. I'm sure it's the phentermine because as I recall this has happened every time I have taken it, and I wondered if anyone else has had this same side effect and why it happens. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, Paula. I know we got hit with the big cold front this week...went from 70 degrees to 30 overnight....brrrr. Just wanted to let you know that after posting, I did a little browsing in the archives and found a couple of posts about phentermine affecting the way the body regulates its internal temp. I guess that's why my face is hot and my feet are frozen....lol.

I had been taking it, and I also had a horrible time with freezing hands and feet at night. It was unreal. My husband would even ask why. Weird how it has side-effects like that.

The same thing happens to me. It makes some people hotter but I am cold all the time now. It could have something to do with the weight loss.

My hands & feet get colder than usual. And in the afternoon my face get red hot too!!!!
Why I dunno??? Since we all have this change it must be caused by phentermine???

I've always been prone to cold hands and feet(low blood pressure & poor circulation run in my family) but phentermine seems to make it worse.

Wow...I'm glad I read this because I was having the exact same problem...It happens maybe an hour after I take the pill. I'm glad I'm not the the only one having this problem.

The last few times I have taken phen, in the past, I was always hot but this time I have been freezing nonstop. I have also noticed my fingernail beds are a little more colorful.
My toes seem to be colder. I am cold but have noticed that when I got obed or am sitting down and not really moving much, I get even colder. I try to stay busy so that I am not so cold.
Maybe it is a good side effect.
