I have been taking, phentermine the once a day 37.5 , since October 7th The first week I lost 7lbs the next week I lost 1 lb. I checked the scale today and I only lost one pound. I've been counting my calories and I try hard too eat 1200 and I can't it's too much for me because I can't finish my small meals. I excersize 4 times a week i do different cardio machine for 40 minutes. Then I do weights each time 4 set's of 10 with the gym machines. I switch from arms to legs each time. I eat healthy, really healthy since I have started and I don't know if my body isn't getting enough nutrition to support my workout's? I mean does it think I'm starving it? How do I speed up my weight loss like other people, at least 3 lbs a week. By the way I'm 5'6 started at 183 and am now 174. My goal is 140-130 whatever feels and looks right. Also I would love to hear suggestions of what to eat .

You should ask your doctor for a meal plan. 1200 might not be enough, I was on a meal plan at 160lbs and it was 1400-1500 cals.

Hang in there! I can so relate to what you are going through. I only showed a 1/2 lb loss this week. I have been working so hard at this! All I can say is we can do this...we can't give up.

Good luck to us!:)

Yeah I agree, it doesn't sound like you are eating enough. Up your cals for a few days and continue to do your exercise and see if that helps :)

Hi Everyone,

Have a Day Off Your Diet

During times of famine (ie calorie restriction), your body becomes extra-efficient at using every last calorie, maintaining weight on less food than before.

By having one day a week when you eat more, you'll keep your body guessing and it won't adjust to your lower calorie intake.

There's nothing worse than sitting in a restaurant picking at a salad when everyone else is tucking into steaks, burgers and bowls of fries. So make your "day off" a day when you're out with friends or family - Saturday works well for lots of people. That means you can relax and enjoy yourself without a second thought about calories! This is known as the zig-zag approach and it really works and lets face it, gives you something to look forward to each week and keeps things ticking along. Strange as it may seem it really works! Try it and see the results.
