I heard it takes about a week for the negative Adipex side effects to pass. Is that right?

I tried 15 mg last Sunday, didn't like the feeling, I have to drive my child 50 miles three times a week, creeped me out to do that on this drug. I just restarted Thursday on the full 37 dose because I've got a 5 day stretch with no driving. I hope my body adjusts.

I feel sluggish, confused, I make dumb mistakes driving (I backed out the driveway without checking in one direction, damn near got hit), I don't have energy like I thought. I get hungry on and off but I am definitely not eating like I did. I have muscle cramps / tension all day. I hardly slept last night.

I am willing to let my body adjust. I hate my weight and it's worth the effort. I got up today around 5:30 and took my pill, I hope this helps me sleep better at night.

I did some drugs in my youth too and this is a lot like meth without the "high" that people find so attractive. I didn't like that stuff and I'm not hip on this. I read the stories here, though, and I'm totally willing to follow this road. I'll be 40 in four months, I just can't pass the milestone looking like I do now so here I am.

I'm 5"4" and 176. I'm pushing for a healthy 140.

I think good vitamins are essential to this journey because I'm sure the Adipex depletes the body, especially of potasium and protein.

I'm on day 5 and I got lost coming home to my own house that I have lived in for 10 years, I thought maybe I was just tired from a long day at work but then I have noticed more dumb things I do or say or the normal walking into a room and forgot why your there, but too often.

I'm not having much energy but I was thinking it might be because I'm not eating good now. I'm trying, but I noticed I get to the point that I have a headache or ready to faint before I eat and even then I'm not hungry. I feel that empty feeling though.

I love that I get up so much earlier and better, I get so much more done in the morning. I do wish I had more energy though, I was looking forward to that since someone had told me that I would.

So far I like it though, I just need to learn to stop and eat more.

I'm starting week 2 on Adipex and I've head a similar experience as you. The first week i went through everything from lots of energy to the constipation. Insomnia and headaches. The headaches are just now starting for me. But my Dr told me to only take half my pill the first few days, cause it affects everyone different. Well I took a whole one on day 2 and I felt like complete crap. It was like I was operating in Slo-Mo all day, felt very sluggish and blah. So I went to splitting my pill in halves and I take the first one in the morning with my 10 am snack and the second half with me 3pm snack. So far that seems to work. One of the side affects is also elevated bp, so it might not be a bad idea to have yours checked just to make sure its not raisin yours. Most likely its just your body adapting and the side affects.
