My name is Melissa and I am brand new to the boards, as of today :D but have been lurking for about a week after googling Phentermine....I have a couple of friends on the med and one is also a former gastric bypass patient. I had weightloss surgery almost 2 years ago and never quite made it to goal and have put on several pounds over the past year or less....hoping this could be a boost I need to get back on track  and looking forward to hearing more of your success stories and hoping to become one myself

thanks so much! How long have you guys been on it? I am not sure if my dr will prescribe Phentermine or phendimetrazine as PhenD is much cheaper.

Welcome to the forum! I think you have so many views because a lot of people just lurk the forum without joining. I know I did that for a while :p
I've been on it almost 2 weeks (I'll be there on Tuesday). If your doctor won't prescribe it, look online for the nearest weight loss clinic near you. I had no idea phen existed to be honest. My doctor was the one that recommended I take it. But I'm lucky on that since a lot of people seem to have trouble finding a doctor that will fill them a prescription.

Hello and welcome to the forum!! I'm an oldie but I've been really busy for the past couple weeks so I haven't been on much. My sister also had gastric bypass surgery, but sadly she has gained all the weight back. I understand true food addiction better than most people. It sounds like you have done a fantastic job though. Stck around here and you'll find lots of support and motivation. PM me if you have any questions!!! :D

thank you all so much for the inspiration! My drs appointment is at 2:30 today and I am already off to a great start, woke up, had my huge glass of water...i do that every morning anyway, then about 30 minutes after that, fixed an egg with 2 slices of turkey bacon....also have hard boiled eggs on hand, went shopping yesterday for tons of fresh fruit, have a ton of veggies already in the garden and going to the gym later today...hubby is already on the bandwagon with me, as he needs to lose a few pounds too, but may be unable to take Phen due to high blood pressure already....

Like you I had gastric bypass surgery about 4 years ago and have lost -100 pounds and have 2 children now and have started to slowly gain the weight back. I want to say I have gained maybe 18 pounds back over a a couple of years. It ****s because I worked hard to get down to -100 pounds down. I refuse to end up where I was so I have made an appt with a doctor I was told prescribed Phen but I am nervous he will turn me down. I am just looking to take it a couple of weeks to kick the cravings so I can flush all the high fats and sugars out of my body, so I can re-focuse on my protein intake. You know the routine. If you need any support or any questions please feel free to send me a message.

I am brand new today and just started taking the meds today also. I am a former gastric bypass patient now. I was 315lbs the day of surgery which was 6 years ago. I was down to 169lbs and then they took my gallbladder out and I never lost another pound and now I have gained back to 259 lbs yesterday at the doctor so I asked her for a script and she gave me one so here goes tryign to get down again.

Hello! I might be somewhat ignorant, but I was just wondering for those of you who have had gastric bypass, how do you gain the weight back? I thought your stomach is too small to eat very much... sorry if i sound dumb just wondering!
