I have been on Adipex 37.5 mg for three months, and for tha last month I have only lost 1 lb. Before that I would lose about 5 lbs a month. I expressed my concerns to my doctor yesterday and he put me on Fastin 30 mg. Does this make sense? I have actually increased my exercise the past few weeks because I noticed that I was no longer losing weight, everything else has stayed the same. Why am I no longer losing weight, yet still eating the same diet Why would my doctor decrease my dose rather than increase it? Anyone else out there have the same problem?

If you go too long cutting calories, your metabolism slows down. I would try eating normally (no meds) for up to a week to boost your metabolism back up, then start the medicine again. After a week or so, when your body expects those calories, drop your calories back down again. Your body will still be expecting the higher calorie diet (because your metabolism is now faster) so ,when you restart a lower calorie diet, you should begin to loose weight again.

I take generic Fastin. Mine is just 15mg., time release capsule. I bugged him to switch me to the generic Apidiex (a tablet) because it cost half as much, but he told me that the Fastin works better at curbing hunger. It's the same medicine- Phen- but one is a capsule, one is a tablet.

My guess is the Fastin stays with you through the day.
