Hey everyone, I'm Margaret. I live in Texas. I'm 20. I started taking Phentermine last Friday. Does anyone have any tips/suggestions? I've been looking at the forums for a few days and all the success stories have been really motivational!
Just one question .. How do I make a Sig?

get up in the morning have something light, and around 11 eat a small meal then take your pill. excercising in the morning good it keeps you going throughout the day. sip on water all day. crystal light is good. dont over due your self on water. youll start building up water weight. or buy a water pills....
good luck and cant wait to hear your progress....you will motivate us as well.....

Welcome to the boards! I have different advice than dallas but we all tend to do stuff differently. I have been on/off phen since last July. I was 19 when I started and I am 20 now, so I know how weight can effect us mentally at this age. Take phen the way your doctor recommends, most on here take phen 2 hours before eating or 2 hours after eating. This is because you want phen to absorb correctly into an empty stomach, most of us also take phen after getting up because it can cause sleep issues. I do believe you can over fo water but this is not cause water weight : sodium and toxins cause water weight to store instead of flush, if you dont drink enough than your body cant flush sodium or toxins, so try and drink half your weight in oz of water. Every 8 oz of cold water you drink burns 35 calories..it also helps keep away the nasty headaches we get on phen..so try and drink half your weight in oz of water a day..if TOM is around and you feel bloated then take a water pill, do not take a water pill on a long term basis because it could harm our livers and kidneys..its thier job to flush water..instead drink some lemon water..try and just drink water..I was told if there is anything in your water (besides lemon) its not considered flushing water so if you drink crystal light it is not considered your daily water intake...Here are some tips:
* The first weeks we lose lots of water and then our losses dwindle down to a few lbs a week
* you may lose 15 lbs in the first 2 weeks and absolutely none in the next 2, remember to measure yourself if your getting frustrated with the scale, often we lose inches then
* You cannot lose weight on phen and keep it off if you do not change your lifestyle
* Not everyone can physically exercise, but if you have no disability than try to at least exercise for 10 minutes a day, keep your heart rate up for at least 10 minutes for exercise to count
*If your hungry drink some water and eat protein
* protein is the biggest thing in our diets, it keeps you full, helps you burn fat by feeding your muscles, gives us energy
*Do not starve yourself, do not eat less than 3 meals a day, reach for 5 a day, light meals will keep your body burning calories, a car with an empty gas tank does not run
*The slower you lose the more likely you will keep it off! the weight did not pile on overnight and it will not go away that fast either
*trying and not losing is better than not trying and sitting on your butt stuffing your face
* Like all things in life, you will be rewarded eventually, you dont do well at work 1 day and get a raise the next day..no..patience is key here
I am sure you will do just great! If you have any questions feel free to ask..and if you need a buddy as well I am here to help :D
