I started phentermine 2 months ago,it was all great till 3 weeks ago and started getting bad headaches. I dont know if it the pills, but went to doctor and my blood pressure is so high and cant get it down at all. He put me on blood pressure meds,my question is does any one take blood pressure meds with phentermine? If so how much do you take and is there any feed back you can give me to help? My eyes hurt bad I just dont know if it is the phentermine or my body getting older, have had headaches before and highblood pressure before, but I blew it off. Now my head hurts so so bad and I can feel blood pulsing threw my head and vision is bad,but I love the energy I have and I am loosing weight,I dont want to give up. Please help!!!!!!!!!

It is common for phen to raise your BP. Your doctor should be well aware of this. I take a BP with phen and I have noticed my BP being to low, but that also has to do with me getting close to my goal weight. I wouldnt worry too much about your BP as long as it is undercontrol with the Meds. If you contiue to see your BP staying up I would consult your doctor so he can adjust or change your meds.
Don't be too worried. Its very common!

Headaches are very common on phen, it happens when you dont drink enough water..are you drinking half your weight in oz everyday? I got high blood pressure while on phen and havent had trouble with it while on my meds. Some doctors are leary about prescribing it to someone with hbp since phen can cause problems with blood pressure and your heart to begin with. I am on the 12.5mg dose of HCTZ, which is basically a diuretic to relieve excess water my body holds onto.

I agree with alykat, my head pounds when I don't get enough water when taking phen.

ohhh this is all interesting to me, i used to be almost 300 lbs and was on blood pressure medicine, but had weight loss surgery and was able to come off days after coming home from surgery, and am hoping my blood pressure wont be an issue again :(
