Hello everyone, I started Phen 37.5mg last Sunday. I worked out 9 times during this last week and ate around 1200 calories and drank at least 3 to 4 litres of water. I have only lost 2 lbs. I am extremely disappointed. is this normal. I also gave up my morning cup of coffee and certainly no alcohol. I am wondering if I should give up? I am traveling to Europe for 8 days next Saturday and would like to have a cup of coffee and a glass of wine. In reading the posts it appears alcohol is not advisable nor is coffee. I would love to hear from you all. Thanks

Try not to get discouraged. Weight loss is different for everybody. I am like you...I have to work so darn hard for each pound. Seriously, if I ate what I eat now, and exercised like I do now when I was in my 20's, I would have been a double zero. Now, I eat 1200 calories and hit the gym an hour a day for 1 or 2 lbs per week. I wish I was lucky like some people and be able to drop 5 lbs or more per week but it just isn't in the cards.

So people like us have a choice to acknowledge that it is going to be hard, and fight through it, or give up. I for one want to push through...

I would advise having a great time on your trip..as for the wine and coffee, have some, just in moderation. Have fun and don't let it ruin your trip!:o

:) good to know there are others out there like me. I don't want to give up. I am just scared!!! so many horror potential side effects. So I am glad to know that I can drink a cup of coffee and not bounce off the walls. thank you thank you.

Don't give up - it's so worth it when you do start to lose - every 1/2 lbs is a big deal to me. You may not see the weight drop so much as the inches do. One day you'll turn around and you clothes simply fall off. :) it's a great feeling.
JingleJanles right - enjoy your trip, everything in moderation, wine, coffee. I'm with you guys my weight is stubborn but I have to tell it who's boss. Hehe

Have fun on your tip

I am 49 - and yes it is extremly harder to lose weight after 40. When I was 20 I was able to lose 5 lbs over night. And the weight shifts to our arms and other places where it didn't before.

I didn't even consider age being a factor I thought it was due to pregnancy and hormone fluctuations etc. However that was almost 4 years ago so I guess it is the age thing..:(

Don't be discouraged by those 2 pounds. Just think, that's 2 less pounds than you weighed before.
Hang in there!

I agree that your not going to make your goals if you get discouraged! The way I see it is that I am only truley happy with myself when I am trying to be healthy..not when I lose weight or sit on the couch eating and gaining. 2 lbs is great considering your probably burning a lot of inches due to all the exercise..also we hold onto water when we exercise (at last our muscles do). Another thing I want to mention is that your only 20 lbs away from your goal..the less you have to lose the harder it takes for it to come off with phen, so losing 2 lbs is incredible! Someone who has 50+ lbs to lose will probably lose more..mainly due to water weight..since we lose so much water weight the first few weeks and then finally start to lose some fat, you probably werent retaining much water so congrats! Just keep up the good work and like all things in life, you will be rewarded eventually. Oh and of course enjoy some coffee or wine..like everyone else said..moderation and portion cotrol is key in our lifestyle changes..good luck, keep it up!

Thank you all so much for your support.. I drank a cup of coffee yesterday and this morning. I didn't feel any impact such as more bathroom breaks etc. Perhaps my appetite was actually there today. I was hungry I wonder if that is due to coffee? I worked out this morning 45 mins spin class and abs. You are all doing such a great job with your dedication to a healthy lifestyle. I am truly inspired. Thanks:D
