Anyone know of a Doctor close to Toronto, KItchener-Waterloo or London who will see prescribe Phentermine or see if I'm an ideal candidate for any other drug?
I just saw an elderly doctor Friday who said all weight loss drugs including phentermine had been discontinued in Canada and referred me to see the dietician.no kidding. I have no family doctor where I am due to severe shortage where I am. I waited 9 weeks to see this last one.
I was on phentermine successfully 14 years ago... maintained a weight loss of 80 pounds for 11 years.

Hi Shannah,

I've just spent the past 2 days on the phone with Health Canada and the manufaturer's or Ionamin and RHO Phentermine and I'm sorry to say that Phentermine is no longer being sold in Canada and hasn't been for about 2 years. Health Canada stated that it's NOT banned but that the manufacturer's just stopped selling it.

The makers or Ionamin (Can't remember their name Adventis something) said they voluntarily discontinued it because there were many other products on the market. My guess is they weren't selling enough because Doctor's up here don't like prescribing diet pills.

It's beyond frustrating! I have a script for 3 months of Adipex but nowhere to fill it!
