i was wondering why the doctor gave me phentermine if its to treat adhd? i dont have adhd or anything i am just overweight.

its not for adhd, it is a weight loss aid. It can help with ppl who have adhd though...but its main purpose is for weight loss.

ok thanks. i was just freaked out on some of these post about they are taking it for adhd and everything.

I haven't heard of this. I know it has been used as a weight loss aide since the 1950's. If it's working for you, don't freak out!!

well adderral is in the same class of drugs so yeah i can see how it would be used to treat ADHD.
Adderral is composed of an amphetamine and phentermine is a synthetic amphetamine. The are both central nervous system stimulants.

Hmmm this is the first time I have heard about this also....interesting...Yea I agree with elemtech if its working for u just be happy no need to freak out!!!!! haha...Its for sure used to lose weight!!!! Taz
