Go down I-85 to the Newnan exit. Coweta Medical Center (Dr. Fred Bass, MD) has an enormous weight loss practice in downtown Newnan.
$70 Cash (rising to $80 in June) for initial visit, no insurance accepted, no credit cards, no checks.
You will get a 30 day Phentermine prescription, a vitamin B12 shot and a food diary. You'll spend maybe 4 or 5 minutes with the doctor.
Very much a cookie cutter "one size fits all" place. If you want an individualized plan with a full physical and bloodwork, this is NOT the place. But if you just want the Pherntermine prescription this is the place to go.
$40 for a monthly followup (prescription renewal and B12 shot).
By comparison, a lot of the franchised weight loss centers in Atlanta charge an initial fee from $125 to $250. I priced most of them when looking for a place.

Dr G. (thats what she goes by) at Gwinnett Clinic there are several locations here are some: Snellville, Lilburn, Winder, Lawrenceville. With insurance I paid 20.00 co-pay & 15.10 for 30-day supply. Hope this helps!
