I started Phen on Thursday and that night i slep from 2:30am to 3:30am and then 6:30am to 9:30 am and then last night barely at all. When I didn finally fall asleep it was a very light sleep and not long at all. Is this a symptom? I dont even feel tired and I am a kind of person that needs about 10 hours of sleep a night to fee great. What is up with me?

I did this for about the first week. It makes for a really long day. I finally took some tylelon PM, then after the 2nd week I didn't have a problem anymore. What time of day are you taking Phen? If your having problems sleeping, I would take it before 8am. I guess it can take 12 hours to wear off, but if your sensitive, even longer. After awhile, your body will get uses to it and you'll be able to sleep again.

I have been on phentermine for about 6wks and I deffinately have insomnia from it. I am lucky if I get a full 5 hours of sleep a night. Usually I fall asleep around 12 or 1am and then I get up about 3:30am and fall back to sleep around 4:30am. Finally I am up for the day at 7:30am. Before I started phentermine I had a touch of insomnia but it has only gotton worse. But, I would rather walk around with black bags under my eyes than be 32lbs heavier, hahaha. Good luck.

I can definitely relate. Since increasing my dose to 37.5mg from 30 mg , I have not gotten more that 4 to 5 hours a sleep a night. It has been almost 3 weeks. The bags under my eyes are starting to show, but it is worth it, for a little while anyway. Hopefully, we'll be able to sleep soon.

That is a side effect. It usually goes away within a couple of weeks. Maybe you could try taking the phen earlier in the morning. I wouldn't stop taking it though. It speeds up your metabolism and helps you lose weight, which is why you take it. Give your body time to get use to it and you'll sleep fine. Maybe you could read a good book while trying to go to sleep, or at least you can let your body relax even if you aren't asleep. Good luck and don't give up!!
