So I started phendimetrazine yesterday. I was 169. Today the scale says 167.8.
I did stick strictly to my diet and drank a bunch of water but didn't exercise. There have been other times when I stuck to a diet and after a week maybe lost 1 or 2 pounds.
Needless to say, I'm super excited! I don't want to jump the gun but something seems to be working already.
I have my weigh in at the doc next Tuesday so hopefully I'll keep on a track somewhat like this.
Ok, so maybe it's not a success story yet-but I hope it's the start of one

I know exactly what you mean! For the past couple of yrs, I've worked out and dieted for 6 mo here....3 mo there... and only saw a pound or two drop, but it would be right back to the same ol number. I started phen 2 days ago, and really feel like it's gonna help! (along w/ exercise and eating habits!) Scale already shows appx 3 lbs less! I know thats not alot, but I feel its a start!

Well, 2.6 pounds down. I can't complain because I haven't been working out but I stuck to my diet and drank a ton of water.
I've been starving tho. The doc changed my phendimetrazine 35 mg. to phentermine 37.5mg-half a pill a day. Supposed to be stronger. I hope so cuz if I keep being this hungry I will slip up with my diet.
How is everyone else doing?

Phen newbie here as well......really enjoy reading everyones posts.....its is very encourging.....helps keep me motivated....I also was on Phend 3x a day ....I took it for about 4 days and then called my doc and he switched me to Phen 37.5 (1 a day).... I have been on very low cal diet 1000-1200 cal per day.....and the only thing I felt that the Phend did for me was give me severve headaches and I thought I was going to starve to death as well....lol.....seriously tho I guess meds are different for everyone cause since the switch I have noticed a huge difference.....no headaches and no hunger pains.....and more energy....Phen is great.....tho on the other hand my hubby is still taking the Phend and he is doing great with it......he has lost 14lbs in about 2 weeks compared to my 8lb loss in the same amount of time.....so frustrating .....that is why I love this site....helps me stay focused and remember that we are all different and we will not all necessarily loose at the same rate...Good luck to eveyone out there....it is so great to have a place where everyone is so encouaging and understanding......

Hey, 8 lbs in two weeks is nothing to sneeze at. I hope this next week I'll do better. I wanted to hold off a bit on the exercise because everytime I try to diet and exercise all at once I get sick. Then I give up. I've been taking vitamins for a week now-hopefully that's gonna do something.
I'm glad I found this site too-helps me a lot.

I started 4/3/09 and was also prescribed 15 mg. The script says 1-2 pills per day, but he said just start with the 1. I'm assuming that if 1 doesn't work, I can try 2 and see how that works. I've lost 60 pounds with healthy eating and exercise over the last two years. I got a tummy tuck in Nov '08 and have gained 10 pounds! YUCK! I have a friend who has been on Phen for around 6 months and has lost 40 pounds. She looks great. Luckily she is also into working out and even belly dances (by the way belly dancing burns A LOT of calories!!!) So, I asked my doctor if he could assist and he gave me the same Phen she's on. I eat healthy, low fat, whole grains, etc., but I've had an extremely hard time getting back on the calorie control wagon since the holidays (yes, I realize they were officially 4 months ago - LOL!) Funny how the compulsive eating doesn't magically go away even though your stomach shrinks. Buy some new clothes made realize I need to get it into gear. There is nothing more encouraging than clothes from the last season being too big - and then buying some new that looks hot. I was 240, got down to 174, now back up to 182.4 (gotta love those decimal points!) I have lots of good recipes I've accumulated over the years so let me know if you are interested. I need new one's - I'm bored with what I've been eating for the past two years! :) Take care and keep your head up!

Sarah E ...I know what you mean about being busy...It is really hard for me to fit in more than one day a week of excercise....tho I feel like my job and chasing after kids should count for excercise....:p...I havent had the chance to weigh this week....my inlaws are in town and we have been staying at the lake for the past week....has been extremly hard to stick to my diet and exercise plan....they either want to cook out or go out to dinner everynight....I am about to loose it.... My scales are calling my name...lol....Just trying to stay on the right path....and resist temptation!!!
