I started PhenD about 9 days ago. Ive lost 6lbs. I usually run/walk atleast 3 miles a day and do strength training with hand weights. Just about all I drink is water...I usually have fruit for breakfast, bagel with peanut butter for lunch, and something small for dinner...usually keeping my daily intake around 1000 calories. My question is...would I be better off asking my doctor for phentermine? or just sticking it out the next couple months with phend? ive heard alot of people say phentermine is better, and thats what i THOUGHT i was being prescribed too.

Im on PhenD too. I started it last Tuesday (17th) , by my scale it says that I have lost 7 pounds so far. At first I was thinking about asking the doc to put me on PhenT but I think im just going to see my results in the course of a month and then ill discuss with him if he wants to switch me.

I have a question im taking 35mg tablets. 2 in the AM, 2 at noon, 2 in the PM... (which is what I was prescribed) Isn't that a little high? It seems like a lot but then again I dont know. OHH and I also take 2 calcium pyruvate (fat blocker) in the AM and 2 at noon. Also my doctor put me a protein ONLY diet for 5 days to try to put me on ketosis.

ive lost 7lbs too, been on for 11 days now i think. and my doctor gave me the thyroid to take with my pill before bfast. they said i can take the 35mg four times a day if my body can handle it. i take 3. my heart pounds really hard and fast constantly now and it has a litttle pain. i get cotton mouth and shortness of breath alot too. but oh well, itll pass. im a vegetarian so its not so easy for me with protein. but congrats! your doing great girl!

I have never tried phenT but my friend did and I know people say it works better but they experience more side effects....my friend switched to phenD eventually and she said even though she isnt losing as fast...she feels its working good coz the side effects are less.

taking 2 pills, 3 times a day to me seems high...infact on the government website for phenD it says maximum of 4 a day unless your doc recommends other wise.... the only is you r starting with a high dose....if your body can handle it, then go ahead if not you might wanna ask your doc again....

When i started taking it, I had shortness of breadth, trouble sleeping, extremely dry mouth even though I make sure I drink 10-12 glasses a day...it took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to the pill and the side effects went away....The only thing that concerns me is the pain, I really suggest you speak to your doctor coz I know alotta people who take it but never complained of chest pain and if you read about phenD on **********, it says chest pain should be reported immediately....I am not trying to scare you, I just want you to speak to your doc, he obviously knows better than me but it's good to talk to him and be on the safe side.

Congrats to both of you for losing so much so fast! i have been on phenD for 11weeks now and I have lost a total of 32 pounds....lately I havent been working out as much but I cheated with my diet only 2 times since I started....if you really stick to a good plan, you will see results....My doc put me on protein diet as well but I will honest, I dont stick with it....I count my calories and I make sure I dont exceed 1200 but I cant cut out carbs from my diet. I use brown rice, brown pasta, brown bread - no salad dressings or fatty food but everything else, I eat :-)

Keep going and you will reach your goal soon....I have 68 more to go and I am sure I will drop alot more during my 3 month summer vacation coz I will work my a*s*s off :-)

yeah, its slowly going away. i think ill stick with phenD. i still work out everyday...but my motivation and cravings are horrible the last few days. im not losing hardly anything at all. basically plateauing. my food is limited and im a picky eater. my neck and ribs and spine are just shot, so i have to go BACK to the doctor...for the millionth time so i can leave my couch without wanting to cry. i just want results...i know everyones different. i wont give up though. i want it so bad. i quit doing drugs and drinking, and having a crazy social life, and going to fast food restraunts, and gave up my favorite sugary drinks for this. i cant give up now :/

Thanks for the encouragement and the information. So far im experiencing no side effects except for the dry mouth that seems like everyone gets .... which makes me drink more than a gallon and half of water a day LOL :) so i guess thats a good thing. I cut out all sugar, soda, right now im doing strictly proteins but in a few days I'm going to eat more fruits and veggies.

Dabraham89 dont get discouraged, i think plateaus happen. Are you eating enough? I think i was eating WAY too little so yesterday i started eating more often but really small portions and today i got up and I had lost 2 lbs . So i think that may be helping. You have made so many changes already to your lifestyle already you might as well stick it out and keep on track. C'MON WE CAN DO IT!!! I'll be your cheerleader LOL!!!

ha, ive been posting alot about plateauing lately. cant seem to get past 135. i had 1700 cals today :O to try to trick my metabolism and break the plateau. i havent been able to exercise because of my work schedule and the dang weather in oklahoma. its 80 when i work all day, then snowing when im off! so lame. ive lost 12lbs in 19 days. my first month is almost up. i can hardly tell a difference. i think im gonna make another appt instead of just walking in to get my next scrip. my hunger is hardly suppressed anymore, and im always wore out. im still taking the thyroid and about 3 phen a day, one for bfast, one for lunch and one for dinner. still drinking water. could work out more, definately. im really proud of you guys though! your doing so well. just dont give up :] btw...my side affects have gone away...but so has the affect of the pill :/ maybe ill just drop the dang thing...do it on my own :/
