I've been on the Phen for 21/2 weeks and I'm down 15 lbs. I bought some new running shoes last night and did a 16 min mile this morning, I've shaved almost 10 mins off my time. New shoes made a big difference, my son and I work out in the evenings also and that mile in the evening was getting hard, it should go better now. I'm probably stating old news, but for the kiddos reading this, being over 40 is twice as hard trying to lose weight, get it done early in life. I slowed down on the weight loss last week, but it's kinda kicked back in the last few days and I can feel the loss almost, tightened up the diet too. Keep losing. :D

Good Point about doing it early if at all possible. I'm 35 and thinking I wish I'd done it sooner. My metobolic rate isn't what it used to be or I wouldn't have sat for 6 months at 193. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. My kids are nearly 8 and 10 and I'm finally taking the time and energy for me to do this.

Awesome that you've lost the 15. I weigh myself on Friday, for the first time after starting the Phen, to see. I'm gonna hide the scale under the bed so it stops tempting me.

Wow!!!! Great job.

Ignore the "over 40" thing. Don't feed into that belief system. It doesn't serve you. What a great weight loss!

Congratulations!

THANKS!!! I don't get to post here much, but thanks again. Here's to all ya'lls success too. I never understood the "runner's high" before, but I think I'm getting it. I mean I'm usually feeling some stress, and being tired, but when it's over I get this feeling that I could do anything, euphoric almost. :D I'm just afraid I won't have this feeling one day. I've lost weight before, and something happen to stop it or slow it down, or I made some excuse. I just hope that doesn't happen. Right now though I fell like a hefty Superman....

Great job!!! Be proud of yourself! :D

I'm back on Phen myself starting yesterday - hopefully to get back on track with everything else too, eating right, working out, etc.

Oh how I wish someone would have told me the importance of eating right and taking care of myself much sooner. Metabolism certainly slows down once you start entering middle age. Grrr. Well with patience, determination, and making a life style change I/we can do this. ;)

Well I finally got past the 15 min mile. Not by much but I did it in 14:42 today, man it was a rush if I didn't have to go to work I woulda went longer. I really need to hustle more in the A.M. to get to work earlier.

On the weight loss side I was noticing I wasn't losing anymore so I curtailed my diet more to cut some more weight, I was bouncing between 261 and 262, this morning I was safely under 260lbs. I think my problem was that I may have been suplementing my protein too much. Extra calories are still extra calories. :D

thats great that your soo excited about running! lol i dread it!!! i usually do about a 3 mile run..and it usually take me about 40 mins. one thing i have noticed is that when i concentrate on stretching my legs out, and running heel to toe...i move alot quicker with not much more effort. not that i'm a pro. but just trying to help.

keep up the great work!! your doing awesome!!

I think I've got shin splints now. Right below my knee hurts now after and during if I run, so I've stepped down the run and increased my mileage and time, at least I can do something. I want it to go away so I can get back to running more. When I can get back to running I'll definitely take your advice,,,thanks
