I have searched this site over and am finding it difficult to really get an idea of what how people with 50 + lbs got the weight off and are keeping it off. I would like to know more detailed regimens and daily plans that were successful for you guys. What worked...what didn't. Thanks so much!

I used portion control and exercise, still do and I am maintaining off of Phen so far.

Hi- I am nowhere near 50lbs yet (17 so far since starting Phen early Jan) but small (really small) portions is the only thing that works for me plus lots of water and keeping active. For meals I try to keep to low GI, high fibre (lots of salads) and protein equal to carbs at night (e.g small peice of fish & salad or small peice of meat & salad or literally HALF a cup pasta with sauce plus salad...). In the day I tend to go for cottage cheese and wraps. Hope that helps...

I just checked the scales, (I go by kg, so had to work out the pounds). I started at about 205 lbs, and went down to 140. I've been fairly stable at about 145. (so 60 pounds.. about 27 kg)
How i did it probably isnt the best/healthiest way, but it worked. I started on phentermine 30mg, and took this for a month. I then took 40mg for 2 months. I had a break of about 2 months, and took 40mg again for 2 months.
In the first month I ate small meals, e.g. wholemeal toast with vegemite, poached eggs, salada's, chicken and vegetables, just very basic stuff. I didn't lose much in the first month, probably about 5 kg. I also drank alot of water, cut out coca-cola (other than with bourbon!).
In my 2nd and 3rd month, i hardly ate. I only ate when i felt a bit sick, this was sometimes once a day, sometimes once every 2 or 3 days. I usually ate 1 or 2 salada's. Every now and then i would have a small dinner, if someone else cooked it. I was so un-interested in food at this stage. I drank heaps of water. I lost about 15 kg in the second month, and a little more in the 3rd month. After my break, i took phentermine for another 2 months, but didnt lose much more weight. I ended up at 60 kg (140 pounds). I was 60 kg by about july 2008. I'm now 65 kgs, but ive been eating badly the last few months. I have taken phentermine a few more times since july to try and lose more weight, but it hasnt really worked... My body seems to want to stay at 65 kg.
I must add that i did no exercise at all, and i drank alot of alcohol, bourbon and coke, nearly every night.
I assume if you exercise and dont drink you will be much healthier than i am.
But yeah i basically lost the majority of my weight within 2 and a half months.
