high pulse rate

I was wondering if this is normal, I have just started on phentermine it has been 5 days and my heart rate is consistantly high 102-104bpm is this something I should be concerned about? Also I cannot sleep at night so I have been taking a sleep aid will I ever be able to sleep without the help of a sleep aid?

Hey there....Phen does cause some people to have increased heart rate......is your heart rate this high even at resting>? or is it just high when your up and moving around and etc....I no alot of people do take sleep aid with the phen But always read the info on back to make sure it is safe to mix with phen as some meds can cause a reaction mixed with the wrong things....or even call the pharmacy and they can tell u if its safe to mix the two....after being on the phen for 5 days you would think your body would already be adjusted to the phen but some takes longer....if you start to feel dizzy or faint I would discontinue the phen and talk to your doctor about it......maybe you need a lower dose.....just be safe and take care of urself....your health and life is way more important!!!!! Initially I had problems sleeping as well. I took ambien. After a couple of weeks I basically was back to normal with being able to go to sleep. I just make sure I take the Phen early in the morning. The days I take it later, it affects my sleep.

hey there I actually had the same problem too with hydroxycut. I started phen and my doctor told me to take half tabs and I am having the same effect as if i was taken the whole. Your body might not be ampt to this kind of medication. I would suggest half tabs bc if not it will cause you to go crazy trust me..lol
The first day on phen half tab i had jitters in my sleep and my heart rate was pretty normal. But if i would have taken the entire pill i probably would be in your position! But if nothing gets better try that
