:confused:Hi- My first weigh in went very well. After being on phen for 1 week, Iost 7 pounds. My second weigh in was not as good. I only lost 1 pound. Dr. said that is great. I can't understand why only 1 pound. I didn't do anything different from the week before. My diet, water intake, calorie count and exercise remained the same. Dr claims I shocked my body and that is why I lost so much the first week.

My question is why is it that I hear and see other people loosing a ton a weight week after week. What am I doing wrong?

Help!!

Hello. I am sure you are NOT doing anything wrong ! I lost 9 lbs my first week and about 2 or 3 lbs a week after that. The first week or 2 is all the water weight anything after that is you burning fat and losing real weight. Sorry I know it stinks but I guess thats our body's way of keeping it off. Hope this helped some. Good luck to u !! This is my 3rd month and I have lost 23 lbs I know that's not a lot but I'm just happy I am losing and not gaining.

I am on my 3rd week also. I have only lost 8 or 9 lbs. I go up and down. It has been hard for in the past to ever lose more than 15lbs. I am just keeping on. I have admitt I have not exercised. I need to really adjust my schedual and put my self first! I have a hard time telling people no. They always have good reasons for calling at late notices!
I am thankful I am not that hungry so it is at least working for me to cut out sugar!
Good luck!

you are still better off than me....i lost 8 pounds the first week and NOTHING the second week even though i ate less the second week but thats just how my body functioned i guess....its now my third week and i have lost only pound so far...

I had the same question n frustration that u r going through but when i sat and thought bout it, the fact is...its the first time i am losing weight at all....n even if i lose 4 pounds a month or even 3 - do the math, within a year or two, you will reach your goal...the key is just dont give up....if you want faster results n u give up coz ur not seeing fast results - just realize that there will nothing that can give u the fast results you want unless you go for surgery which i dont suggest to anyone....

i tried a lot of over-the-counter diet pills...some didnt work, some got me into the ER some had great results for a month and then absolutely nothing - so please just stick with it....there is nothing better than taking a diet pill to help you lose which is FDA approved...i know they have some side effects but its giving you the little boost you need....

what are u taking by the way? i am on phendimetrazine - 35mg 3 times a day and restless nights lol...

stick with it....and we will all make it to our goal, just give your body time....dont expect it to go through magic

I am on 30 mgs of the phen. I only do once a day. I take it at 7:00 a.m. I really haven't ever dieted much. About 5 years ago I did weight watchers and lost 15 gained it all plus more back. Then 2 years ago exercised and counted caleries. Lost 15 again then gained it back plus more. So... I am eating healthy not counting just trying to not focus so much on the food. I am focusing on water intake. Taking phen. Today I decided to add exercise. I will try it 3 times a week. My days off. I do around 30 min total on rec. bike /eliptical/ and tredmill. Then I add weights. For my inner and outer thigh/ butt. Abs-back and sides of back. Takes about another 20 min.
Good job on the 8 lbs. I know the 3rd week was slow for me. 1 lb. But loss is loss!
Keep in touch!

I'll just throw this out there as my theory....you lost alot of water weight that first week....it is a common byproduct of fat breakdown. I would start using weights for strength training. Again, you may not see the weight pop off but in the long run you will be lean when you get to your goal weight. Also, YOU'RE 147 GIRL. Notice the people losing big numbers (I expect a bigger number this week myself), are well.....BIGGER. Proportion my friend proportion. It will come off. And frankly, I'd rather lose 1lb a week for 52 weeks than 17 for 3 and then quit thinking I'm on the right path.

Hi deeone75 - Trust me you are not doing anything wrong - that happend to me the first time I used these pills, the first week I lost 9lb and the second week I didn't loose anything - I was very dissapointed but the doc assured me that it's normal - because my body lost so much weight the first week I didn't loos any the second week - bear in mind loosing 7-9lb a week is alot and it's unhealthy - the healthy amount to loose is 2lb a week! so don't beat yourself up love you will get to your goal weight if you stick to it and stay positive - try and do 10min walks every day - then you will see how the weight just falls off! I measured myself today and in I lost 3cm on my waist and hips in a week - getting weighed today too so really looking forward to see how much I lost - bearing in mind that the first week you always loose water!

I hear you! I lost less than you the first weigh in, so at least you got lucky there! Let's keep on it! I need support and encouragement, too. but, you sound very similar to me in your height and weight and goals, so I absolutely know how you feel. I will let you know how it goes on my next weigh in on Thursday! Keep me posted as well!
