I was wondering about something. Just how "deadly" are prescription diet meds like phentermine, didrex, bontril, tenuate, mazindol, etc. I have never heard of anyone overdosing on them and dying. I have even read that they CANT kill you. Now, I know that a certain amount of almost anything can kill someone...even water. I mean like if the dose is 3 Bontrils and a person takes 9 can it kill them?

Do any of you know of any stories involving the drugs above only that ended fatally or near fatally? This would not include Phen-Fen or any other drugs taken off the market due to their hazardous nature.

I think some people are just not as susceptible as others with regards to adverse effects from medicine and are therefore less likely to die or get very sick if they take more of one of these kinds of medicines if they dont work well at the usual dose.

Well, no replies that anyone has. I have heard that the currently prescribed drugs cannot kill you.
