A Little Help Please!!!

This website is great. I am very new to Phen. I could really use some help, though. I have only taken two 37.5 doses. Today my heart rate was 120 for about 2 hours. I called my doc, and they said that I should stop taking it. I have no health problems, my BP is good, but I do have a anxiety problem that the dr is treating me for. I called the pharmacy and they said to keep taking it, that 120 was no big deal. Should I try half a pill? Should I stop? The only other side effects I have is dry mouth and I am slightly goofy. Other than that not really any problems. Suggestions, please? Thank you to all that help me. Take care.

Well, first of all, I would never advise anyone to do something their MD adivsed them not to...but from my own personal experiance I would try to just take 1 and cut it in half. See how that works for you. Phen is made to slightly increase your heart rate, so it will. 37.5 is the highest dosage. So, that is probably why you felt it. Most doctors have you start with half if they give you the 37.5 because of this. Or they start you on a lower dose. I think if you can hang on there, you will be pleased with your results. Thanks for your response. I am a little ticked that my dr gave me the highest dose. I just checked and he could have given me 15mg. I think that I will take half tomorrow. I was to chicken to take any today. Thanks again, take care.

Not a problem. I am on the 15mg right now as well. And it is working fine. The good thing about it is that if my body gets used to the meds and I start to plataue I can go up in mgs as needed. I would definatly ask to try the 15mg.
