I just wanted to let you all know how great I feel!! A little over 3 months on Phentermine changed my life! I dealt with the side effects but I am now phentermine free and still losing weight. I have the energy to excercise and I just can't tell you all enough how great I feel. You can do this.. We all can do this. Be careful with the drug, don't take it for too long, don't be afraid to let it go and do it on your own you can do it.

Oh I can so relate with you!!!! Cause I have been off phen over 2 months also and I am still losing weight on my own....I have to work xtra harder and I also now go to the gym dailey but hey im doing it and it feels great!!!!! I learned alot while on phen and I learned how to say NO to junk foods and not to over eat at meals.....and Now IT is a life style change for me one I will never forget......So this is why its so important to learn healthy eating habits while on phen......cause it will pay off once u come off phen.....I am really happy for you also that you are sticking to your weight loss journey without the phen.......congrats on losing more weight!!!!!!!!! TaZ

p.s I am really glad you started this thread...Its nice to have other people who arent on phen anylonger to talk to and get ideas from and support from....And I love all the phensters on here as well..but sometimes it really encourages those people even to be able to see that once their off the phen they can still lose the weight SO NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!! taZ

Hey me too :) I'm not taking it. I've saved my last half a bottle to use only on days I need a push. I used it the day after Christmas to get myself back on track after the Christmas treats that started the day before Christmas. Then I took it one day this week when the stress level was through the roof and I knew that eating is a problem when I'm that stressed.

I do go back to the doctor tomorrow and I don't plan to tell him I saved the bottle. I want to let him prescribe me more. This way I can still use it very sporadically and not enough to develop an immunity. I was disappointed at how fast it didn't seem to be working.

Congrats to both of you for going off the Phen too! I also kept a little of my Phen just in case. I plan to talk to my doctor about getting a little more if and when i run out. Today is day 6 without it and the withdrawl symptoms seem to be going away now. I am very tired though often! I start back to school on Monday so it's good I went off it when I did. I've lost 5 pounds this week without it though. The trick is excercise, as I'm sure you both know. It is nice to have other ppl to talk to about this that have gone off it. I worry about the ppl who have been taking it for years. I took a Psychopharmacology class last semester and learned how Phen works. It blocks the neuro transmitters in the brain that tell the body you're hungry. I think that has a lot to do with the Phen rage some ppl get. If you're body is hungry but your brain doesn't tell you you don't eat, but you will still get cranky and the headaches Yuck!
Now it sounds like I'm against Phen....I LOVE IT!!!! I would recomend Phen to any friend that needs a kick start to get use to eating less food. I LOVE FOOD so it was really hard to get use to smaller portions of things. Since Phen made me not hungry I didn't eat and my body got use to it. Now it seems so much easier. It's just really dangerous to take for longer than 3 months. It will actually change your brain chemistry.

Well Like I said it's nice talking to other Phen Alumni!

One recommendation for any newbee's......If you start to feel like the Phen isn't working as good as it was, I found that it helped to not take it for a day or two. When you reintroduce your body to it after that it's like a kick start. Since it's half life is 24 hous it actually takes 6 days to be completely out of your body so the day or two without it won't be too bad.

I also found that each time I got a refill it seemed to work better. I always wondered if there was a way to keep it fresher somehow. I thought the day I started a new bottle it seemed to feel stronger....? Just wondering if anyone knew anything about this...

If anyone has any questions or needs advice I will do my best to help, just send me a message.
