Hi Everyone,
I'm new here but I just filled my prescription for phentermine 37.5 mg tablets today. I was told this medication is usually NOT covered by insurance programs so I started looking around for places to buy it cheaper than full "cash" price. I found a great card that is completely free to join and no questions asked. It saved me 50% with this prescription alone. The card is called "PS Card" and the website is www.pscard.com. You can even print a temp card right then and there with all of the info your pharmacist needs to discount the price. All they needed was my name and address and sent me a real plastic card in the mail for free. I've had the card for a few months and have never even so much as gotten any spam from this. I wanted to share this with you all since this is a great resource. They have contracts with local pharmacies to offer discounts on practically ALL prescriptions, including those not normally covered by insurance. Since it worked for me for phen I wanted to spread the word. Even my new pharmacist was asking about it to pass along to his customers. I'm happy to share this info. Full details are on their website. Please enjoy and happy holidays to everyone!:D

Thanks for that tip! Is there some way for you to actually get a real plastic card in the mail with Free Drug Card? I've tried calling but was put on a silent hold and then got disconnected so I can't even reach someone to ask.

Ya know what, according to the website this other free card would give me a lower rate on the phen vs the PS card I have. It's only about $2 cheaper but that does add up so I don't mind spending a little more especially if it was just the first time I had to get it filled. From now on I'll use this other "card" and save the $2. I tried to print it on label paper, where there are 2 labels that are each half the size of a normal sheet of paper--so they're large. I did that and cut away the excess and then just folded at the mark and taped it together. Seems to work well! Why is phentermine a controlled substance? My PA warned me she could only write the script for one month at a time. Just wondering why it can't be for 3 months at a time like normal "maintenance" meds since the plan was for me to be on this for quite some time, considering all the weight I need to lose. Thanks again for the help!

Well it causes problems like high blood pressure and heart problems, doctors want to monitor you to make sure you are doing well and arent abusing it as well.

I'm already taking Lisinopril for mildly high blood pressure and my specialist who prescribed phentermine knows this. I'm going for an EKG in a month to see how I'm doing. Thanks for the note though. ;)

Hey just wanted to tell u also I printed like 3 different cards off this site and wow...I tried all 3 of them and out of them 1 card saved me way more then the other two!!! U can print several and the pharmcy will check them for you to see which one saves most money!!! Just an idea!!!
Good luck on your weight loss journey!!!!!! If I were you I would just check your blood pressure every now and then and make sure its doing ok!!!

Thank you so much. I got my first prescription at Publix for only 12.95 and it also listed kroger for the same price. Awesome! It is crazy I didn't expect the card to work. I just printed it out and aske the pharmacy if they took it and they said yes!

Hey Tazgirl,
Just wondering which site were you referring to about printing several cards and one had a higher discount? Just curious since I know I used the PS Card but after getting the reply about the Free Drug Card I realized PS Card wasn't as good a deal. The PS Card price is $15.15 vs. the Free Drug Card price of $12.90. Which card were you talking about that you printed 3 of but one got you a better deal? That's really weird since you would think that all of the cards for the same program would have the same rates. Then again, different pharmacies can charge a different amount. Did you go to the same pharmacy with all 3 cards and that's how you found out about the lower price with one of the cards?
