I know, I have a hard time drinking my water. Exercise has not been the easiest either. I want to do 30 min at least 5 days a week.

mslori- What is your goal how much do you want to try and lose in 4 weeks?

I will join, I drink over 100 oz a day and exercise at least 30 mins, but my problem is not eating enough :( when I dont eat enough, I dont lose weight lol.

Welcome Alycat! How many calories do you usually eat? I try to stay inbetween 1000-1200 a day no more no less. It seems that I will slow for a week and then start losing again. I need to drink 100 ounces a day to drink my 1/2 weight in water, i have problems reaching that daily. Keep track of your food by writing it down or posting it here. I can do mine also to see where we are daily. I eat lots of hardboiled eggs and lean turkey and motzerella cheese.

I will join, I drink over 100 oz a day and exercise at least 30 mins, but my problem is not eating enough :( when I dont eat enough, I dont lose weight lol.

I eat enough, but don't drink enough water! And my exercise is limited to how much my girls allow me to do :p

I'm going for 80-100oz of water (trust me, that's a LOT - I despise water!) and I'm going to try and do some sort of exercise 5 days a week! Either walking, elliptical, jumping jacks, or lifting my daughters for 1/2 hour hahah hey I guess I do that anyway :p

Good luck everyone! We weigh in and catch up every WEDNESDAY... but I know a lot of us will post more than that to keep ourselves on track :)

I want to lose 10 lbs by Halloween!! That's a stretch for me considering I'm a REALLY slow loser this time around!

lol, yeah I have days where I only eat 500 calories. I usually have a protein shake in the morning, a smart ones and a yogurt or fruit for lunch, some nuts or raisins around the afternoon if I need it, then dinner is usually salad, meat , veggies, anything really, just small portions. But if I dont force myself I lose track of time and forget to eat. I exercise for 30 mins on my bike every day. I will add weights while riding (stationary bike lol, wouldnt see me on the street not holding onto the handle bars with weights in my hand) I also do dance dance revolution a few times a week its a great way to get a workout and I usually burn 200+ calories. I am trying to go to the gym 1 time a week at least so I can get on the treadmill..but if I get enough money for my bday I am probably going to getone, or a Wii and a Wii fit..I drink about 5-7 1 liter bottles so thats about 1.3-1.8 gallons a day.

Daiseered 10 pounds by Halloween that is totally do-able. I am planning on doing my 30 of exercise on my elliptical. That is going to be tough considering the longest I have gone is 10 mins that things kicks my ***. I will just do 15 mins twice a day until I can go longer and maybe some free weights for my arms. I really want to tone up my arms and stomach. I just had my daughter and she did a great job of streching out my stomach. I like my legs, I could work on getting a butt, I need to flatten my stomach and tone my arms. I want to lose 12 pounds in four weeks! I want to fit into a cute/sexy dress for my anniversary on the 17th!

Okay so this is where were supposed to post each week right???? haha i just wanna make sure.....wowoww were getting more people joining this will be more fun!!! well for me the water will be a big challange cause i just cant seem to force it down me....and the exercise may be a little hard....cause im in the process of moving and seems like im always workin but im gonna do this!!!!! just gotta figure out how much water i need to drink now....im sure its gonna be alot!!!! im gonna take a walk tonight and start and maybe my weigh in will be good in the morning.....

Drink 125 oz a day Taz, or about 4 1 liter bottles of water. You go girl, walk it out...lol..I am going to the gym tonight..are we weighing in tomorrow? Grr I dont want to know what TOM is doing to me right now.I dont want to see the scale lol, that and that I am constipated grrrrr

Ok so i dont want to set my goal to high and feel like a failure so im gonna shoot for 10 pounds in 4 weeks.....I really hope i can do it cause i am a slow loser also...but yea i would be happy with 10 pounds....and i think im gonna count my calories for a day and write down everything that goes in my mouth cause i have never done it before and i no im not even eating over 500 calories a day...and this is baddd......so yea i just wanna see what its like.....and how many im eating.....
so anyways im getting excited and cant wait to see how we all do!!!!!!!!!

Taz I think my goal is to be 185 by christmas, does that sound reasonable? I have almost lost 30 in 3 months, think I can lose another 20 or so by then?

Oh I no what u mean alykat i hate to weigh in tommorow also cause i no my TOM is trying to happen it was several days late last month and i was soooo miserable and this month its trying to come early but im having some trouble starting lol....so im sooo miserable and achy and lots of headaches and the girls are very sore!!!! im also thinkin it may really mess up my cycle since i just started the metformin with the phen yesterday....and u wnt beleve this one.......I been soooooooooooo hungry now.....so i think this meformin is makin me hungry now...cause before i was going like 12 hours with no food at work...anyways ok lots of water to drink wow.....i will just get me a liter bottle and force it down....thanxxxx for figuring it out for me aly!!!!!

Yesss i know u can lose 20 punds or more by christmas!!!! that shouldnt be no trouble for you...I think its very reasonable!!! wowowo that will be soooo exciting for you!!!!! You will for sure have to post all new pictures of ur full body before and after for all of us to see!!!!!! your hunny isnt gonna no what to do with you hahaha.....

Me to i need to take some new pictures when i begin to notice the change a little more....i have some face shots but there on hubbys phone hes always takin picts of me...but yea its always nice to see the difference!!! and u for sure have to put some on here!!!!!

I would love to join. i love challanges they make me work harder lol. I am also confused i only drink 80 oz day i find that if i do more i feel so bloated but 80 is half my weight or a little more then that. Also iam like Aly i only do 500 calories a day max. I dont forget to eat i do snack all day just on veggies which arent bad at all and iam full by the end of the day. So weigh in is tomorrow? do we do it on here? thanks so much.

Ok all u have to do is exercise 30 min 5 days a week and drink lots of water.....ur supposed to drink half of ur body weight in ounces!!!!! Then weigh yourself starting in the mornin and come here to this page and tell us your weight and then every wednesday we will come here and post our weight and how we did for the week!!!!! Its as simple as that!!!! I think this will be so much fun and like u said it will make us work harder each week knowing we will be checkin in with others on here!!! So yea why dont u two join the more people the better!!!!!!! MOMMY2BELLE all u have to drink is half ur weight in ounces no more then that unless u choose to!!!!! good luck!!!! hope this helps u understand it better:)

Good so it looks like we have a good number of people. Yeah Tazgirl pretty much said it. I have seen that a lot of other challenges do there check in on other sites, and you win prizes. I just thought it would be nice to hae a group of people who are doing the same things and coming to each other for support. I am excited to weigh myself in the morning... who would have thought that?!?

WOW i didnt realize how out of shape i really am until tonight.....I went to a friends and used her treadmill since mine is already packed up for the move....and I walked 1.08 dist...and burned 159 calories and 49 fat calories...and it took me 30.28 min to do it!!! so i started my exercise one day in advance to get ready for this,,,and woow i am sooooo tired as ever....it kinda worried me at first cause my heart rate got up to 209......and even now that im done and sitting down my heart is beating really fast and i feel slightly light headed....But yea i havent walked that long all at once in like over a year so i need to really get with it......So my question is do u think maybe i should split the time up like 15 in morning and 15 min at night? until i am used to this or is it normal for my heart rate to go so high???? im really gonna try to do my 30 min 5 days a week but if for some reason i just cant i will start at 3 times a weeek......just until i get used to it.....but i will for sure kick my self in the butt and try to make myself do it 5 x a week just dont wanna kill myself doin it hahaha.....my body has been through alot in the last year and havent gotten all my strength back yet!!!!! but im sooooo PROUD of myself for what i done tonight!!!!:)

Taz, If you are almost killing yourself slow down!!! Do 15 in the morning and 15 at night. As long as you are trying to be active that is exercise it does not have to the hardest thing you can posssibly do. Take it slow. Build yourself up to it.

Okay,,,yea i really pshed myself today to do the entire 30 min but i can see that i have a little further to go to get all my strength back from the last 8 magor surgeries i have had in the last year!!!! But yea dont wanna kill my self doin it hahah....i will just split the mins up and i no i will be just fine with that....and then before i no it i will be doin the entire 30 min all at once !!!!! I really feel good about myself today tho knowing that I did it!!!!!!!

I wanna play....tehe...I am so bad at both of these right now...i was doing great with the exercise thing...then one week just threw it all off....the water thing I struggle with EVERYDAY...its like drinking battery acid...ok..not that bad but its a close second....so is this for the water and the exercise...????...Tomorrow we weigh in?...and then set our goal?....mmm kay.....here we go...tehe...

ok ty much better to understand. i will come tomorrow and post my weight. my 4 week challange since i already had one for Nov would to be atleast 149.8 which is 8.4lbs i know i can do it. Espically with the support from everyone on here :) Good luck guys. And thanks about the water i feel like iam drowning drinking what i used to but i was also 52lbs heavier so i needed it

Me too...me too! Hopefully this will jump start something since I haven't lost anything in two weeks and I am doing everything the same as I did when I lost the first 10 on phen. So you guys are telling me that I need to drink 140 ozs of water?!?! I am going to feel like I am swiming. I am going to shoot for 10 as well.

I'm in too guys, I need some motivation cuz I started slowing down. I was doing really well till now. I've been the same weight since Saturday. I drink lots of water because I get bad dry mouth, but I agree with you
sleventis it doesn't taste so well. I have to bye bottled water cuz the tap water taste like metal and chlorine. But I also walk 3 miles or an hour a day. Hopefully things will start picking up cuz somtimes I just want to give up cuz there's no point. So hopefully this challenge will help cuz I'm so competitive lol! I want to loose 14lbs in 4 weeks, if I shoot high I'll work harder!! Can we start the weigh ins on a new forum for tomorrow so we can bypass the old messages??Good Luck to everyone!

Well I believe we just keep posting in this forum, Yeay lots of people, i weigh in at 206 today, grr, damn TOM is still around and he wont leave me alone, I am hoping he will be gone within the next few days and I will have this water weight off by the time this weekend comes. I am skipping phen the next few days to see if my weight loss picks up since I have gone up 3 lbs for no reason and I am starting to get hungry!

Good Morning everyone....weighed in this morning at work (since I dont have a scale at home) and I am 273! BUT...I made eveyone else weigh themselves and they all say its about 5lbs on the lighterside wrong. Oh well... I am happy with the 278! I'm at 50.4 ozs of water for the day...so here we go! Well hopefully I am not too late for the challenge... I think it's exactly what I need to motivate myself to drink more water and to exercise. Well today when I weighed myself at home I weighed 178.6 so I guess my goal for the end of October will be 169.9 so my four week challenge will be close to 10 pounds. I hope I can do it.

Good morning everyone!!! I weighed in this morning at 196.2 lbs which is .5 less then yesterday! I want to lose 10 pounds also! Water is hard for me also. It is only 6 am on the west coast so I am still drinking my non fat sugar free vanilla coffee. I will start drinking water at probably 7-7:30 and that is it for the day. I have my lunch packed and I am ready to get this challenge under way!! My anniversary is in less than six weeks my goal is to weigh 185 on my anniversary.

Lacie- I'm right behond you here on the W.coast. I'm still drinking my coffee (its 6:40am). I have been waiting for TOM for 11 days now and am pretty frustrated that he hasn't come yet. So, here are my stats for the day.

142.6
will drink my usual 80ozs
will ride my bike for 15-17 miles (recumbent)
may even do some weight training with my son's new set
My goal in the next week or two is to finally get under the 140 mark. I have been riding it up and down for a year and have yet to go under.

Firemama- Good luck- I also am waiting on TOM. It is not slowing down my loss though. Weight slowed for a week or two but picked up again this week. I added extra exercise and cut out sodium it has helped. I want those numbers to keep moving down!!! Woo Hoo West coast!!

Alright ladies, 1st weigh in and I am 187.0lbs. My goal is 177.0lbs. in the 4 week challenge. Water isnt a problem for me anymore, its like second nature now. I will be doing my 30 minutes 5 days a week as well. Good Luck to all of you!!

Ok, I am having a hard time with this Fitday.com website. This is usually the problem so I never go on them. For instance, I always have 1 1/2 - 2 cups of coffee with FF hazelnut creamer each morning. I know the calories b/c it shows on the bottle, but when I try to find this product to log for my daily intake, I can't. Can someone (Alykat maybe) help me out here? Is it easy to just insert everything you eat in there and it knows and shows you how many calories? I am having the hardest time getting the hang of it. HELP !!!! I need need "Fitday for dummies" or something along those lines....:(

First Weigh in for the challenge...279lbs... 4 week GOAL for me is 265lbs (14lbs loss)... 30 minutes of taebo 5 days a week and 140oz of water... I guess its a good thing I love to drink water!!...lol...now the exercising is going to be the real challenge for me!!...thanks for the motivation!!! We can all do it!!!

hey if you cant find it you can customize your own. They dont always have all of our foods. Just go to fitday, on your food log page, on the left hand side under the scrolls browse foods, recent foods, and custom foods, there is a button that says create your custom foods, you just add the title and all the nutritional value yourself :)

Hello all! Would love to join you guys! I weighed myself this morning, and am at 230, and my goal for the end of this challenge is 15 pounds, so I will be at 215 -- I was on my exercise bike last night, did 40 minutes, trying to get back into the strong, consistent exercise regime I used to do, and I'm drowning myself in water today, so let's lose some weight and do this thang!! :D

ugh...TOM has been here for a week and a day, WTF? Usually he's here for 5 days. Does Phen usually make him go off track. I have to drink 14 bottles of water today for my water supply. lol. I'm barely on my second!

Good morning everyone! I weigh in at 225.6 this morning so I've lost about 9 pounds on phen so far (two weeks and four days). I want to lose about ten pounds a month (2.5 a week) so hopefully in four weeks time, I'll be 215!
As it will be a sunny 92 degrees today in Southern California, I will be drinking A LOT of water. Also, I have weight training class today so I will be working out for an hour!

First day of the challenge!!! I had every intention of getting up bright & early and getting in my 30 minutes of exercising, but then it was cold and drizzly and somehow my good intentions slipped away...But then I got on the scale and weighed in at 273.5 lbs and that got my motivation moving going. Maybe I should change my goal to be out of the 260s by the end of the challenge, but I think I'll see how the next week goes.
Actually, I think that I have already increased my exercising by running to the bathroom with all of this water!

hehe water makes us go pee! Its flushing our bodies out, isnt that great? Momtobelle said get some ankle weights and at least when you run to the bathroom you burn some calories :D

Hey there everyone;
wow...what a hectic day so far....ok...weighed this morning...LIKE ALWAYS...TEHE...and I weighed in at 146.8...my pre-pregnancy weight is between 130-135...so in the next four weeks I am aiming for 8-10 pounds...I know it gets harder to get the weight off the closer you get to goal...so to NOT set myself up for failure...yet still give myself a good goal...that is what I am sticking too...also...I AM SO BAD AT WATER...so...here we go...lots and lots of water...now the exercise...the truth is...I LOVE LOVE TO WORKOUT....its all about finding time...with four kids...three of them four years old and under...it is tough...like today...had every intention to workout after the oldests football....even though it was going to be at 9 tonight...i am ok with that...i actually like going out at night...its peaceful...well...husband just called and has a deadline...will be working unitl late...so...there goes that....sigh....but...my goal is four to five days a week....

WE CAN DO THIS LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......WHOOT WHOOT

I am weighing in today at 139.2......We're talking about exercise, I think the key is finding something you like. I used to HATE to exercise, I bought all the informercial stuff and never used it.....different videos but got bored so quickly. Hated the treadmill my husband bought me. Then one day I just kind of had my fill and walked into the personal trainer's studio.......He worked me so hard and I hated it but loved how I felt when we were done...that got too expensive so a friend of mine suggested I go to Jazzercise and I loved it and actually LOOKED Forward to working out. Since then I've tried different things and hope that exercise is always a big part of my life. I owned my own fitness classes but had to close them down in May. If you had told me that I would someday own a fitness franchise 8 years ago I would have told you that you had lost your dang mine.

Try and find something that you LIKE...alot of people like zumba.....find some classes...try different things....until you find the activitiy that you actually enjoy doing instead of dreading.

yes for people who have desk jobs or are a stay at home mommy like me get ankle weights i put them on once i wake up so all day cleaning chasing around my 2 year old daughter or just walking to the bathroom it burns more calories. i keep them on all day but it totally depends on how you feel. you defiently will feel it in your legs the next day which shows its working. and since i started i have noticed a difference in my legs and weight loss. Good luck all. also i guess iwas supposed to put in my goal for the month i just put my weight. I will drink atleast 75oz of water a day if iam unable to go to the gym i will do Richard Simmons or on demand workouts daily and continue lifting my free weights 4-5 times a week.

no not at all i mean i only have 2lbs a piece they have harder. and as long as your pants cover them its not a problem either. at first i felt a little bit uncomfortable i guess i had to get used to them and once i did i dont even notice they are on.

My problem lol is drinking half my wt in ounces and exercise. I can do this. Goal for 4 weeks is 10 lbs

IF ITS NOT TO LATE I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN. THIS MORNING I WEIGHED IN AT 265. THAT IS ON THE HOME SCALE. I HAVEN'T BEEN GOING BY THEM SO MAYBE NOW I CAN KEEP UP WITH IT AT HOME ON MY SCALES.SO FAR I HAVE DRANK ABOUT 80 OZ OF WATER. NOT COUNTING THE COUPLE OF GLASSES I DRANK OFF MY MED CART TODAY.

It's not too late! We're probably even going to extend the time on this too when we're done if everything goes well :) Just post what goal you want to reach in 4 weeks!! And you gotta stick to your guns when it comes to exercising and drinking that water!! Drinking the water is a HUGE help in weight loss!

Okay I finally found everyone...wowow i went to a page and was there all alone was wonderin what was goin on lol.....Anyways...When i first started phen I was at 272:( and now as of this morning 10/08/08 I am down to 252.4!!! so i have lost 20.4 pounds and still have a few more phen to finish for my first month...SO im EXCITED ABOUT THIS WEIGHT LOSS!!!! If I can lose 20 pounds a month for the next two months i will be sooooo excited.....But i dont wana sit such a high goal and feel like a failure so im just gonna go for another 10 pounds in the next 4 weeks....

So hard to get the exercise in on work days when i work all day and come home at dark and am sooooo wiped out.....But i no i can do this.....so will let u no later tonight when im done:) good luck to everyone!!!!

Hey Taz- congrats on the HUGE weightloss. Why not try and carry around your bottle of water all day long as to remind you that you need to drink !! Good luck with tonights workout but don't get burned out !!!

hey there!!! I see u made it to the challange today hahah.....I had fun last night in the chat with u!!!! Yes i still have to do my dreadful workout hahah.....Im sooo tired and just about to have dinner but i no i have to make myself do this....I work at a computer....and were not supposed to have drinks at it....so i have to hide my big bottle down below in my bag and pullin it out all day is kinda hard hahah with all the docters and nurses walkin around......But yea i have to figure somethin out....I still have 3 liters to drink tonight!!!!! wowoow Im floating thinking about it....Guess i will go have some chicken and salad and get my booty on that treadmill for a while.....If i make it 15 min tonight i will be happy....i did alot of up and down and walkin today at work as well....so yea we shall see how it goes i will be back later and let u no!!!!!!!!! Soooo be thinkin bout me :)

So the first day of the challenge I did everything I was supposed to do. I drank 100 ounces of water at least. I stopped counting at 100 and still drank water through out the night. Exercise, I did the ellpitical for ten mins then my daughter started crying so I got off took care of her then got back on for ten more. Finshed with 15 mins of free weights and some lundges. I ate very desent yesterday, then my husband came home with taco bell I had one chalupa with water and that was dinner. I am going to continue this because I know I will have results if I keep it up. My 1 month weigh in is on monday, I am excited and nervous. What if I have not lost enough? I don't want to be disappointed in myself. I am nervous.

Tazgirl- Great job and keep it up, I aim for 75% of my water intake to be done before I get home from work. I also work at a computer all day. It is a challenge!!

Everyone new- You are not too late welcome!! What do you guys think about meeting up in the chat room everyonce in awhile? We can talk about progress and any issues we may have. Let me know what you all think.

I am always in the chatroom at night, anywhere from 6-9 Maryland time.
So I did very well yesterday
I always get my gallon of water in lol
I got my 30 mins on My bike:
150+ Calories burned
6+miles
I had a protein shake(breakfast), apple, smartones(lunch), steak, salad,egg (dinner) for food yesterday..add a weight watchers icecream bar as a treat
Dont know my correct weight right now, I think my scale needs a new battery, it keeps telling me 10 different numbers ( then again it was only 20$)

I'm up to about 50oz of water so far today and it's only 2PM!! That's GREAT for me! :D

Also had a very sensible eating day as well. Didn't fomally exercise but I ran around like a banchee for two hours cleaning, vacuuming, carrying boxes, and all that fun stuff.

I just put in my lunch for today into FitDay - I had a small salad with a tiny bit of dressing and 2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of salami and cheese sandwich. Do you realize that's almost 600 calories? I mean I did put a tablespoon of italian dressing on the sandwich (HATE mayo...) but WOW!

So I'm now I can have up to 20g of fat, up to 600 calories, as little carbs as possible, NO MORE SODIUM, a little more protein.... to stay within my nutrition goals for the day. I guess it's not that bad, but it is since I (accidentally) skipped breakfast!! I don't know how people LIVE on 500 calories a day like Mommy2Belle! She's CRAZY!!!

So I think I'll plan exactly what to have for dinner and enter it now to make sure I stay within my goals. And I need to drink at LEAST 40 more oz of water, which should be NO PROBLEM!! I've been SO thirsty the past couple of days!! :D

way to go daisereed.....that sounds like a good lunch but I bet if you took off that slice of salami the calorie count would go way down...i always have a probelm with what to eat for lunch, I'm thinking of making that when I have a protein shake....

Only about 60 calories for the salami slice. The roll, turkey and cheese are the biggest contributors to my calorie count! Only cuz I had three slices of turkey.... However the salami had 245mg sodium... That's probably my downfall, no matter what I try to do my sodium jumps up there!! I don't eat pre-packaged things either OR add salt to ANYTHING. My one tbsp of salad dressing had 254g of sodium... my tukey had over 1,000 :( Maybe that is wrong... lol... but it is deli meat...

It's so amazing what you learn when you count not just your calories, but other things as well... and become aware of EXACTLY what is going into your body!! I love doing it, and I definitely feel like I'm educating myself to make myself better!! :)

Okay - what is your take on calories burned per day JUST by itself? Like your baseline metabolism? On FitDay it says I burn 1,579 cal for my baseline metabolism. Then it had 22:30 for the time, so it jumps it up at 2,400??

it says I burn 2934 calories a day and I have a 770 calorie restriction for my goal of 180 lbs by january, so I am supposed to be able to eat 2164 calories..damn...

Well I'm not really going by what they say I should be eating per day, but my own personal experience and what seems to be working :)

I think it said for me that I burn over 2000 cal. just by existing, so if I want to lose a 1lb a week, then I should eat 1500 calories a day (500 calories less a day x 7) makes 3500 lost and that equals a pound. I don't see it happening that way though. I was barely eating 1000 cal. and still only losing 1- 1/12 lbs a week. If I bump that up to 1500, s***, I'll probably gain !!!! I'm sticking with my 1200 and under and see how it goes!


Taz- great work last night ! Remember, don't burn yourself out or you'll just end up calling it quits b/c its getting too hard to keep up ! Enjoy this life change and embrace it :D

Well today was a slow water day.But I havent really been able to sit down all day at work.I went to work at 7 am I did go out side for 5-10 minutes at 12 noon then hit the floor again and didnt leave work till 5 pm. The girls and I will go for a walk later. I will continue water till bed.

Well today my TOM finally came and its like 2 weeks early....And last month it was 3 days late....So now i no why i was soooo sick on my birthday!!! U was right ALYKAT!!! u SAID IT WAS PROBABLY COMING....so it happend at work....and I was miserable all day....The pain was awful!!!! SOOO i dont think i will be walkin tonight...will take a break....until some of the pain goes away.....I had 1 liter of water today....so have lots more to drink tonight....Last night was unbeleveable I was up all night peeing from all the water I drink yesterday.....Couldnt beleve it...I never get up in middle of night to pee:) Thanxxx alykat and firemama...for the nice comments!!!! Yea i have been workinjg really hard for this weight loss but like u all said i dont wanna push myself to hard and get burned out fast......Oh and I weighed this morning and I lost another

Well today I drank all my needed water. I thought it was suppose to be 14 bottles but its only 8...whew! I had to pee like every 20minutes. I had to get up a lot during school today, but I went to the bathroom that was farthest from my class for extra excerise lol. With all that water it was hard to hold in my stomach...haha.

I usually walk 3 miles every morning and today I was aiming for 5. Unfortunately that didn't happen. When I was walking it felt like my shin was on fire. My boyfriend said it's called shin splits and I got it cause I don't stretch b 4 walking...ugh. So I just did 2 miles and I think I'm going to have to skip the walk tomorrow. I felt like someone hit my shin with a hammer. A real pain to walk with.

When I first started Phen on Sept. 19 I was doing really good. But since last weekend, my weight has been around the same. Is this normal for other people? Once my leg feels better I might have to add another excersise. I'm hoping my body isn't freaking out and saying, "Hey, there's suppose to be more fat in here, store more fat" lol. Well I can't give up, I have a pair of size 8 jeans I want to get back in. So wish me luck and good luck to everyone else!

Good morning girls!! I have been doing very well with my water intake and it is very suprising to me because I never could before. I am drinking 100+ ounces a day and it has not been too hard. I was not able to get in my exercise yesterday but, my legs were very sore from the night before. I did my ellpitical with the resistance turned all the way up and didnt even notice. I am also eating my 1000 cal a day or less. I weigh myself every morning and night, I only really pay attention to the morning weight but I like to see how much my weight fluctuates after a few hours and eating. To my suprise it really stays with in a pound of my morning weight. Yesterday morning I weighed in at 195.0 I was hoping to keep that weight but this morning I was back up to 196.0 Oh well I will be there soon. Hopefully monday I can have that weight! So that is my goal for this weekend. I want to lose a pound for monday. Good luck girls!

So tom is officially over and I only gained 1 lb which I am happy that it wasnt more and plan on working it off before next weeks weigh in. I drank my recommended water yesterday as well as exercised. I played my dance dance revolution which was equal to jogging 3 miles and burned 200 calories. My calorie intake was good, did have some chinese, hoping to boost my weight loss this week.

Sounds like everyone is doing fantastic with the water, exercising and food intake; excellent!! Count me in the mix too, because when I weighed this morning, I lost 3 pounds, yes!!!!!!!! Did a good amount of water drinking yesterday, and plan to do even more today - you know, while exercising and cutting down on food intake is very important, I believe it's that water that is the magic potion that really burns the pounds off!!!!!!!! I did my stationary bike last night; was only able to do 20 minutes, and then got a terrible cramp in my calf muscle, so had to stop to stretch it out. I'm gonna walk at lunchtime, and then do my bike for 45 minutes this evening -- Happy Friday to everyone, be sure to make good food choices over the weekend, and keep up the great work!!

Well, today I rode my recumbent (sp) bike for 40 minutes, going 26-27 mph. I rode 17.3 miles and worked off 540 calories, the most I've done so far. Thank goodness for indoor excerise and the TV. It is 10:40 am here and I have managed to drink
51ozs so far. I am feeling really pumped for the day.
CD- good job on the 3lbs lost !!!!
Aly- how did ya manage to only gain 1lb with TOM ? You must be pretty happy about that. Its been 43 days since my last TOM (I am usually at 28 days, give or take a day) so I am hoping that when he decides to finally arrive, I will shed a few pounds once he's gone.
Lacie- remember, it is very common to fluctuate with your weightloss, so tomorrow when you get on you could be down 2lbs (I always have to remind myself of that when I get discouraged b/c I am up one morning or another). Stay positive!! :)

Of course you can join. Just commit to working out 5xs a week, 30 minutes a day and drinking half your body weight each day. Then weigh in each Wednesday. I get the "tough times at home" thing ! I'm right there with ya !!! I just feel like I need this to make "me" feel better and then in turn hopefully the tough times at home will seem less tough!!!

Wow these scales are soooo driving me crazzzy....I have a scale at home i been using but its digatal and i dont trust it most the time...maybe it needs new battery or just replaced....so i weigh at the hospital and it says this morning i weigh..252 mine at home says i weigh 255 and my friends really good scales she got from her docter....says im down 250!!! i was like wowowow i love this scale and u can tell its a nice one.....and i even weighed like 3 times and it never changed the number....so im really thinking this is the correct weight....so what u think i should do???? im confused now!!!! My hubby said hes just gonna get me a nice scale so i can depend on it more and no excatly how much i weigh dailey and not have to go to other scales...but my friend said i can just weigh in on hers each week when i go to clean her house...so anyways i just wanted to get some advice on what number u all would go with.....if its true and i really am 250 now im soooo happy....and that means i have lost 22 pounds.....

also i went to get my phen today at wal mart and let me first say i called last week to make sure they would order them for me....they said sure they will be here wednesday at 1pm....so i go today and get them and GUESSWHAT???? there like well we dont have them in stock...i said well why did u tell me they would be here then? the pharmist said well actually the company there comin from is having a problem getting them....so dont no what this means....so im so out of PHEN....WAS FREAKIN OUT......and than THANK god my friend has some so was so generous to give me some of hers to carry me until i get mine....I was soooo releived....I cant beleve i was sooo scared thinking about not having them....wow....am i addicted or what??? just wanted to share this with u all....guess i better get to bed i have to work saturday and sunday......i havent walked on treadmill the last two days cause of my horrible TOM.....im sooo miserable and the pain is sooooo UNBELEVABLE.....im also having some other medical issues right now that has got me realy scared but im afraid to talk to my docter about them cause im worried he will make me go off phen....dont no if its effects from it or something else major happening.....so please say sum prayers for me!!!!! night:)

Exercising on tom is the best thing you can do, it will help out s lot. Take some diurex for those cramps and bloating. Hope you feel better, please make sure you dont hide anything from your doctor

Oh ok I will have to take me a dureuex tonight maybe that will help me cause i havent had this much cramping in a looong time...but it is like 2 weeks early and a very heavy one at that....im sooo weak and out of energy and with the other issues im having i felt like i bettter not do the walkin right now....but i have been workin my arms and things....I may talk to my docter tommorow if i see him....I guess i am just worried cause i no my body to well and its like when i THINK something is not right or something is goin wrong im always right...and from past experience it has always ended up in surgery or other bad news....so im just scared i guess cause i dont want to go through all that again...But i no im gonna have to talk to him sooner or later as i dont want the problem to get worse or something bad happen.....just been a long bad day for me...and feelin a little down tonight....WHEN i SHOULD be happy....for all the weight i have lost!!!! But it seems like every GOOD thing i do...something bad is always there to follow...

Yeah the diurex will help with TOM because it relieves any of that water weight associated with bloating. It has helped me not gain as much or no wieght while on tom. Yeah for sftey sake I would talk to your doctor, like you said you know your body, so if theres a problem you should let him know before it does get worse. We care about you so it doesnt matter if its about phen or not, your health is always most important!

So i did well yesterday, i didnt get as much calories in as I would have liked to..thats my downfall most of the time. I went to six flags and walked from 1 pm to 10pm so I know I got my exercise in lol. I had a blast on all the roller coasters and getting my face painted.(yes I was the girl with my face painted and wearing a pink superman cape someone won for me..going woooosh and running around the park lmao :D).hopefully I will show you some pics later..I just didnt have the greatest selection of food (as always) they were out of grilled chicken at the chicken hut, the only other thing around was papa johns, burgers, or funnel cake..so I stuck to the chicken poppers but I would have much rather have had something besides fried chicken and fries. I gave the fries to my friend and just ate some of the chicken. We didnt eat the rest of the day because of the prices and the fact that it was 2 when we ate anyways. come 10 I was hungry but didnt feel like eating crap once again, I had packed some tuna n crackers and sandwhiches so I could eat something sensible, but my friends ended up stealing all the food, so I just drank my water and didnt bother eating at 10 anyways. I drank as much water as possible but couldnt really drink the amount I wanted due to trying not to carry anything around. I did down a whole bunch before, some in the park, and then afterwards. So I did ok, def. got my exercise in and a whole load of fun. dont know what to do today and tomorrow (culumbus day) I might force the hunny to go do something fall related.

Ok so I asked to join the challange the other day and have been MIA since. I'm so sorry. When my DH got home on friday he told me he was well.... basically laid off! JOY! WTF!!! SO needless to say it's been a very hectic, chocolate induced weekend. He's already been in contact w/a few people, so hopefully he'll find something quickly. I plan on starting this week off on a positive note for myself and hit the gym come monday morning @ 7 instead of my usual 6. (gotta take advantage of hubby being home w/our daughter while i can) this is my plan mon, wed, fri workout @ c u r v e s. tues, thurs free weights at home. drink 72oz or more of h2o a day and less carbs. hopefully by putting this out there i can stick to it. hopefully you'all give me the daily kick in the a** that i need.

Ok...the family is driving me crazy! I did good all weekend long..stayed strong when the pizza arrived...ate grilled chicken and veggies....and then tonight they want chilis! It was junk food city at the house all weekend..its almost like they want to help me fail. I am drinking all my water and then some (been exercising outside so sweating a lot gotta love Florida!) and getting my 30mins to 1hr a day in! Hope everyone else is doing well....keep up the good work everyone!

Hey just thought i would check in...i was trying to figure out how to do my own forum but i dont no how....im having a horrible day....been sad, depressed, crying, and just so many emotions...My cousin died last night...:( he been fighing cancer and it finally got the best of him....I just dont no why he had to go so fast.? he was at the hospital i work at all last week and it was like he was fine....then he dies....im so angry at CANCER! its like its killin everyone. I am a cancer survivor but im always terrified that it will come back....especially since it runs in my family alot....im really doin bad today....i havent ate and i havent even drink water....im just sooo stressed right now i have to go to the visiation tommorow, then the funeral wednesday so i no these next few days are gonna be hard for me.....im really trying hard to stay on track here but i feel myself failing so bad....my heart hurts so bad today. i just feel terrible....so please keep me and my family in your prayers the next few days.....i been doing everything i can to keep my mind off it but its not workng so well.....:(

I wish that I could give ya one! Its always so much harder on the ones they leave behind, but then we also have to realize that they are in a better place. If your cousin was suffering at all, he isn't anymore. It just ****s for us left here. You need to give yourself time to grieve, you really do. I will keep you in my prayers for as long as you need them. Stay strong little one, you'll get through this. In the mean time, don't make yourself get sick from lack of eating and drinking. I am so sorry for your loss Taz, I dont know how you feel right now but I can only imagine how much your hurting. I understand your upset and stressed, but I am sure your cousin wouldnt want you to hurt yourself and make yourself sick because of his death. I understand its hard to want to eat or think about yourself at a time like this, you have to be strong for yourself and family, but he is in a better place, he is no longer dealing with cancer and is able to move on. I pray for you and your health, your doing a great job,

Taz, I can not only imagine what you are going through, I have been there myself ... My mom passed away in 1983 from cancer ... I went to visit her in the hospital around Thanksgiving, and she looked great, dressed up to receive visitors, smiling, laughing, and then no more than 3 days later, she took a terrible turn for the worse and passed away. I was so angry, and still am, about the way cancer takes our loved ones away from us way too soon. I will certainly pray for you Taz, this is a journey that is beyond words to describe, but take comfort in the fact that it is okay to be angry (punch a pillow, let it all out, punch until you have no more strength left), okay to cry, okay to hurt; hold onto God's unchanging Hand, continue to share with us, your phen family, about how you're feeling, and know that all of our shoulders are right here for you -- hugs to you, luv you ...

Hello all! I did okay this past weekend, did indulge in some sweets on Sunday, but I worked out on my bike Friday (40 minutes) and also Sunday (45 minutes), and I also drank more water this weekend than I usually do. Also drank a lot of water yesterday at work, and my eating was good that day. So I want to challenge myself this week to continue the good water intake and exercising, and make good food choices -- TTYL!

FIREMAMA, thanx so much for your hugs! even though your not here to give it to me I can feel them through your words!! And you are right at least my cousin dont have to suffer no more. and he was suffering so much. he just lost control of everything and it was hard on him to deal with this. but yet he stayed positive and was hoping this wasnt the end....I will go tonight and say my last goodbyes to him. I no it will be very hard for me. but i will no that one day i will see him again in a better place! just pray that god will give me the strength to get thro this tonight and the famiy will all find a little peace!!

I no that was a diffulcult time in your life as i would not even no how to handle the pain of losing my mom or dad!! I totally understand what your talking about when u said your mom was doing fine and everything cause this is what happened with my cousin. he was fine and talkin and everything. i really thought he would win this battle ...but then thats when it turns for the worse and then HES GONE! and its like im sooo sad but yet the ANGER is there as well....I held back my tears at first and tried to be strong and just try to be ok, but i couldnt no more...i had to just let it out. as it was to much for me to deal with....I am thankful his pain and suffering is all gone though. So I did very well this weekend, exercised plenty on saturday like I said. Sunday I cleaned and played with my moms dog for exercise. Yesterday I had off of work, I went and got a yoga matt and pilates disc with bands. I did 2 10 minute exercises and it was killer. I also did 30 mins on my bike. I dont know how much I weigh, after spending 5$ on a new battery for my scale my boyfriend steps on it, and all you could hear is a snap in the middle. It works but I dont think its accurate, depending where I step I gain like 5 lbs or lose it lol. I think the only possible accurate reading is 203. I will be getting a new one, but I know I might be upset if it says a different number then what I have been at. oh well. I did ok with food, wasnt really hungry but still forced myself to have something to eat.

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA this weekend. I had a very sick hubby and baby. I had my one montyh weigh in yesterday I lost 12 lbs total. I am happy with this and my doc was very pleased. I said I wanted to weigh in at 195. Well on sunday morning I actually weighed in at 192.4!!! But then after eating and drinking and getting dressed it was 195 but I am soooo happy with this. At my doctors appointment I was weighed and measured and my waist and chest measurments went down!! This weekend I did great on my exercise and water. I did eat a bag of trail mix on sunday though. I am going to blame that on TOM. Yeah she is here first time in a long time. Tomorrow is one week down!!1 Can you guys believe it? Excited for the weigh in tomorrow girls!!

HI!!! so yesterday I did my 30 minute curves workout adn drank my 72oz of water. I also had a mini date nite w/my husband. what a novilty don't remember the last time we did that. I think it was just BEFORE our daughter was born....4 years ago! Anyways she was asleep by 8:30 and we watched the Sex in the City movie. Made us REALLY miss home(NYC). This morning i got up and went to curves again, they have this new program called "curvessmart" it's this computer attached to the machines. You put your card in it and it records your workout and it actually makes you work harder. By the time i was done, every muscle hurt! Guess I wasn't working as hard as i should have before. It was also my weigh in and measure in day. I lost a total of 6.5 inches and 2 lbs since last month!! Stress and phen the 2 best diet aids. (LOL) 36oz of water down 36oz to go. Taking little girl to park this afternoon so I'll get another workout then. Have a great day all. :)

TAZ............ I am so sorry to hear about your loss.I know its a hard thing to deal with but you can always turn to us for support. You need to keep yourself well though. I know its hard but if you dont eat you will be ill.I will keep you and your family in my prayers.



This weekend i have done okay on the water. Could have done better but at least i have done more than before.We ( the girls and I) have went for daily walks. I do not have any exercise equipment because my house is so small. Maybe I can get some later for the garage.

So today is offically one week into the challenge!! I weighed myself this morning and it read.... 192.2!!! I can't believe it!! That means I lost four pounds in a week!! I don't know if I should trust this. My scale has never given me false readings before. Oh man maybe it is just to good to be true!! This week I have stuck to everything I set goals to do. I drank at least 100 ounces of water a day everyday, workout 5 or 6 times this week and watched my calories. I have not drank anything other than water and my one cup of coffee in the morning all week. I feel like I am losning the weight finally and TOM is here too!!! I can't wait to reacht he 180's I have not been there is sooo long. Looks like I can make my goal of 185 by 11/17!!! Hope everyone else has a great weigh in today also!

Ok guys, its wednesday! You know what that means, weigh in day. I want to see everyone posting thier progress and stats if possible! Week 1 is over, now 3 weeks left.


As for me: I dont know what I weigh still, I am hoping to get that scale for my birthday tomorrow though. Right now my scale jumps from anywhere between 201-208 I think I will go with the 201 ;) lol. maybe onederland? nah, I will make sure to update asap. I have been drinking my water and exercising everyday. I have been doing pilates the past few days and man I can feel the burn! I have been eating well, I had some temptation yesterday, chocolate cakes and truffles grr, i said no. I will be having my cake and eating it too tomorrow :D well maybe not, a slice of my blueberry pie is a must!.Then olive tree too, geez killer hehe, I'll make sure to fill up on salad. but otherwise i am making sure to get enough calories. I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing.

good morning ladies, down 2 lbs for the week and getting closer to reaching that area on the scale that has eluded me for 5 yrs, thats the left side of 300...currently at 305 and i hope within 2 weeks to never see that again, still have a long way to go but im looking at it as alot of 1 days at a time. i keep a copy of this poem in my pocket and read it alot, im sure some of you have seen it but if not id like to share it with you

Ok...I dont think I have ever drank so much water! If the scale here at work is right I am down to 273 which would be awesome! I think the only thing I have been doing differently really (than the past few weeks) is the water. The moral....DRINK lots of water!! Oh...and I finally got my time down on my physical abilities course under the passing time yesterday...so next week I have to take it for real! I am excited and scared cause I only get one shot...so wish me luck (pray for me ...cross your fingers...all that good stuff)! Thanks everyone for all the support and good luck with everything. YES......... I am down 3 more pounds from last week.I am now at 262.I must confuse .....I am getting better with the water. Not yet drinking all i should , but getting better. The girls and I have been doing alot of walking so I have been doing my exercises.Since we got the Wii fit I will be doing alot more. So far every one is doing great. PROUD OF YOU ALL.

Ok so for week one I'm at 272lbs...thats 7lbs down from the start!!! kind of surpising because this week has been nothing but stress for me (Im a stress eater)... I had a HUGE fallout with my mother, got written up at work for having wrinkles in my shirt (lol), TOM started for the first time in OVER a year and you think you all have to resist the "pizza temptation"?? I work at Pizza Hut!!! and so does my boyfriend!!!...lol...the employee discount doesnt make it any better either!!... I have been drinking my water as usual (I love water!) and the exercise is still not an "easy" thing for me yet, but I'm doing it :) I hope everyone is doing great!!

Good morning all..... Ok, here are my stats for the week. I worked out 4xs, rode a total of 67 miles on my bike and lost 1lb. I am ok with that 1lb even though this stupid scale of mine keeps going up .5, down 1lb every day. I did however finally get TOM, after being 22 days late. I was thrilled to have him visit for the first time in my life. I just felt terrible (like he was coming) for three weeks, but nothin. So, while the scale may s**** these last two weeks, thats ok because I know that I am doing what I am suppose to do and will get there (to goal) some day soon.

Lacie- WAHOO for you and your 4lbs ! That is HUGE considering TOM is with ya and also its not like this was your first week on Phen. Keep it up.

Alykat- get that new scale girl, it will calm the nerves :)
You share the same birthday as my middle son (he turns 11 tomorrow). Its a special day !! Hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy that piece of pie and whatever else your heart desires.

Rick- you have lost a lot of weight so far, its great that you are still so positive. I like your poem too !

sorry sassy about the stress, I used to be an emotional eater and made sure to replace food. When I get emotional I dont eat anymore, I will hop on my bike and pedal away, you would be surprised how much exercise you get lol.

Rick your doing great! I agree that reading that poem is very helpful! You will be in twoland before you know it!

iam 155.0 today which is 2.8lb loss since last week. i know iam happy but i was 155.6 all weekend and i have no clue why i lost 5lbs last week. maybe it was because i lost so much quickly it slowed down for a couple of days. Iam happy i have no reason to not be i have 5.2lbs to go to hit my weight for this challange. Good luck all :)

Man I wish you could downsize that treadmill too :D that would be great, oh well i think I decided on the wii and the wii fit! I hope I get enough money tomorrow to get both :) ..oooh plus I got a refund for my gas and electric so I dont have to pay it this month, I have 130$ going towards it! I cant wait :) i will probably keep searching for a cheap treadmill, and I signed up for freecycle and am hoping someone wants to give one away for free. yeah, wish I could be in onderland, but I wont get disapointed if I am not, I am happy with my loss!

Tazgirl- Thanks, I am really enjoying this challenge also. Everyone is doing so great. I think because it is a personal challenge with yourself and we are just here for support and encouragement instead of a race to lose the most weight because we are all so different, I think the real challenge is sticking to it day in and day out. I would love to do another month after this one is complete if others want to have another go. I am trying to add extra time to the ellpitical everyday. Man, that thing kicks my butt! I have been adding a min every couple of days and I have now doubled my time! You seem to be doing great, don't get discouraged by a momentary plateau. Hope all is better for you this week, try not to stress eat!

Fire mama- You are so close to your goal!!! You are at a smaller weight now so 1 pound is a great success!! Congrats!

Rick- Welcome!!! I loved the poem. I might copy it and put woman in place of man and read it for inspiration from time to time. Keep up the good work.

I had my one month weigh in and my doc was very happy with my loss, my labs test came back and I was told I am prediabetic. Even more reason to lose the weight and keep it off. I am sooo excited to reach those 180's man I can't wait. That is my goal for next week. 189!! I am going to keep up the work and I hope everyone else does great also. sassysessa- you are doing great! 7lbs that is amazing!!! Wow that would be so hard to work around all that pizza and not eat any... I had a hard time with that when I used to work at a resturant but, I know you can resist. You are lucky that you like water I have learned to tolerate it. I try to take huge gulps in order to get as much down at once as possible. Try not to stress eat. It is so hard I eat a lot of hardboiled eggs when I am hungry but I know I do not have enough calories left to have a big meal. Hardboiled eggs fill you up and they are on 70-80 calories depending on the size of the egg. Good luck this next week!

Thanks Taz, I have always had problems seeing my weight problem because I never looked as much as I weighed, gave me more of an excuse too. I will look good at 180-170, but will probably look skinny at 150, sheesh my BMI is supposed to be from 114-144 i dont think so, I will look sick! lol, oh the butt is there, but I dont tend to take pictures of it hehe. just my boyfriend lmao! I dont know if I am having cake or not, my mom always makes my blueberry no bake cheesecake pie every year and I will be having a piece of that, yumm!

No im not cocky haha..yeah its the keebler crust with the blueberry pie filling and the cheesecake on top! oh yeah I will never be skinny hehe, I have the curves and they wont go anywhere, I cant stand being skinny and I really dont need to be toned to be happy, I just want to be happy in my own skin :)..dont know if I will ever have the strength to wear a bikini, I am insecure with my looks, maybe by then I can loosen up, sheesh if people who weigh as much as me have the balls to walk around in bikinis, hell y cant I? I havent worn one since I was 12? Well c what happens by then, and I am sure taz youll look skinny in no time too, your doing a great job! I think my boyfriend is going to have more fun teaching me how to snowboard, i told him I would try it if I got back to 180, well see if it happens by the time winter rolls around.

Alright this week has been very hectic. I had and have midterms until next monday so I haven't worked out as much as I should because studying is taking up that time! Today I will work out for an hour for my class. Eating was not as good as it should have been. I babysat my siblings all weekend while my parents were in Columbia and there was a creepy cabdriver that made me nervious being alone in a big house so maybe I did a little stress eating, plus my boyfriend watching everything I ate (thinks I'm going to become anorexic). And to top this weekend off, I got a cold. But I lost more than I expected! I'm at 223.8 this morning!

Been pushing the water, did 50 minutes on my stationary bike last night, but my eating has been about the same, so gotta cut the calories, starting today!!! Okay everyone sorry I've been pretty MIA - I've had SO MUCH going on you wouldn't believe it... But before I get too busy here again I'm making sure I post my weight! I'm 179.0 I don't remember what I was last week - it changes so much up and down within 5 lbs so 179 is actually a good number for me :D I've been fighting for the 170's so that's good! Been drinking water, not as much as I could but like I said it's been unbelievably hectic. My DH's friend (I've only hung out with him a few times) passed away last Saturday - it was really tragic, he has so many complications from a fire he was in a week and a half ago... He didn't get any burns but severreee smoke inhalation and they ended up amputating his legs 2 days before he died... which at first they were going to do from the hips down.. anyway it looked like he was going to try and pull through but he didn't. So the wake is today and we've never been through anything like this together, so we'll see how it goes. Wish us luck! Good job everyone!!

Checking in for the week. I am down to 142.8....thats 3.2 less than last week and a total of alomst 7 lbs since starting the phen 3 weeks ago. I really believe this water thing is helping. I usually get down 85-100 oz. each day. Have kept to a good diet too. I only got 3 days of exercise in but have been doing Tony Horton's P90X extreme workouts. They REALLY kick your butt. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!! See you next week.

Okay i have a couple things to tell Ya'll!!! First I never knew phen was so hard to find when u have a script for it....I have a script for the name brand adipex and wow i been trying to get it filled for like 2 weeks...so i called wal mart again today and they said there havin trouble getting it from the manufactuar so i was like ok i will call other pharmacys to see if i can get them there...so i called gerbes they said no we only have the generic and cant get the name brand....so im like ok i call walgreens and they said same thing....that they cant get the brand name.....so im thinkin wow what now....so i called the only other pharmacy in my town wilkersons and they were like well we have none on stock but i can see if we can order them....Im thinkin ok FINALLY....SO she comes back on phone and was like well we can get them but only in a box of 100 and they will cost u 400 dollars....Im like WHAT???? so then i told her walmart was only gona charge 72 dollars for the name brand if they could get them...she said well let me see what i can do....maybe i can get it approved to sell u the 30.....so i was like ok sure.....so we hung up and she called me back in like 10 min she was like ok i got it approved and i can let u have them for 70 dollars...i was like ok sounds good to me.....so FINALLY i can go pick them up tommorow.....SOOOOO my question is.....alot of the people like the generic better....but why is the name brand so much more expensive? and why is it hard for the pharmacys to order the name brand and not the generic.......its got me wondering now!!!!!


ANYWAYS.......THE OTHER THING I WANTED TO TELL U ALL IS......I got my late birthday present today!!!!!!! WAS A SURPRISE FOR SURE!!!! mY HUBBY ordered me the air climber...its soooo cool.....but wowow its soooo hard to do also...it works your entire body...and it also has these cords u use with them for your arms and stomach.....its sooo awesome...so i tried it out tonight and u work out on it with a dvd!!! gosh i done 2 of the workouts like 30 min and i was sooooo tired and sweating like crazy and burned way over 800 calories.....some of u all may have seen it on tv....its like a little stair platform and u stand on it and step up and down and each time u step up and down your stepping aganist air...talkin about your legs and thighs and ur entire body burning.....it really works great!!!!! im sooooo sore right now already my back and sides and everyplace is sore....so i no i will be miserable when i wake up in morning.....so anyways i think i will skip my mile walk tonight since i worked out so hard on this....so hears my plan.....I will walk a mile on my treadmill on the days im off work....and the 3 days i work i will come home and do this workout.....I will see how this works.......just thought i would share this with u all....sorry i took up so much space!!!!!!

thank you guys so much! there is defiently no slowing me down. iam determined to get to my goal weight by xmas and i am so excited i cant wait! and aly iam so happy for you. and happy early birthday ;) you will be in onederland before you know it dont worry. And lacie honestly iam just eating a low calorie low carb diet. drinking half my weight in water and trying to exercise 4-5 days a week for atleast an hour. since day 1 i havent touched red meat of any kind not even pork i dont do fried food no potatoes when i do eat its cooked with extra virgin olive oil pam spray and no salt. hopefully this helps if you want a basic meal plan as to what i eat please feel free to pm me :)

Momma2belle- NO MEAT?!?! O.k. I could not do that, I eat meat from time to time. Lots of chicken though. I do love veggies and fruits and have been doing pretty good with those. My water intake has really gotten easier and I am doing great with drinking at least 100 ounces a day. I actually have not drank anything other than water and my one cup of non-fat sugar-free Vanilla latte in the morning for over a week now. This what I am most proud off. You are well on your way of reaching your goal by christmas and then your boobies!!! Yah!!! I am pretty sure after I reach my goal I will need a tummy tuck. Lots of extra skin since having my baby.

Everyone- I was told by my doc on Monday I am prediabetic.... So I need to now more than every get this weight off. I was told by my doc that this is why I have such a hard time losing on my own and keeping it off and I need to stick to a heathier way of eating forever!! Which I was planning on doing anyways. She also wants to put me on metformin sp? When the weightloss slows down. Well good news... I did the ellpitical for 22 mins straight yesterday!! That was the longest I have ever done it for. I burned 300 cals and felt great!!! What a differance excerise is now that I am down some poundage!! Feel great and could not be happier. Good luck everyone!!

yeah aly you posted somewhere that the Wii Fit doesn't seem to burn as much calories, that's why I've been hesitant to get it. It seems like I get more of a workout pushing the double stroller around with my kids for awhile than I could get working out with the Wii Fit.. Let me know more of what you think!

lacie I'm sorry to hear that you're "pre-diabetic." It's good that you are getting healthier now more than ever! I hope you can turn that around!!!!!

Water intake has been on the downside today but I'm cleaning and scrubbing and working my booty off getting this house back into shape :D So I think that's helping! Plus my kids have been an EXTREEEMMME pain in the butt today so I've been trying to juggle them :D

Yeah so far what I have accomplished with the wii fit is okay but doesnt burn as many calories in the time it consumes. It took me an hour to do 30 mins of exercise, granted it was my first time playing and I was still trying to figure out the games. I did the hoola hooping and it was a workout, I also tried some balancing games and I **** haha, I did do some steps and it is only the first level so it was a bit retarded..I did like the jogging but I need to get better at my pace so that I burn more calories. That was a workout for sure. I think the wii fit is more of a good way to waste time and not sit on the couch when bored, not so much in place of regular exercise though. I still like it, I havent tried the yoga but I did do some strength training that I need to get better at. I need to get some cables and I will be hooking the wii up to the internet lol.

Yesterday wasnt a great day in the challenge for me but I allowed myself to enjoy my birthday. I exercised for at least 30 mins, I did pilates and rode my stationary bike. I had a slice of blueberry no bake cheesecake pie around 12 and had chicken alfredo and a slice of cheesecake for dinner at olive tree. I ate more chicken then the pasta and took more home then I ate. I shared the cheesecake with my sister since I really didnt want the cheesecake, but my parents got it for free and I was sang to. I didnt get enough water in yesterday but I still drank 2 liters or so. I didnt have any soda or anything with dinner, just water. Today I am back on track for sure :D

Hi I am so disappointed with myself today... I was doing fine yesterday drank all my water and then some I stop counting at 100 ounces. That was good but I think the only thing I did good all day. I had a piece of cake at a baby shower at work. It was a small piece but none the less I should not have ate it. I had a bunch of stuff to do yesterday so I was not able to work out. Then my husband, my good friend and I went out to dinner, I ordered a salad (good choice) and ribtips (bad choice) I ate more tips then I did salad....:( I have never been so disappointed in myself. Right after I ate them I felt sick and was very upset that I gave in like that. I have no excuses. I know we need to indulge ever once in awhile but that was just a dumb idea. I will not make a choice like that again. I guess it is a good thing that I realized I dont need food for comfort anymore and eating like that now makes me sick to my stomach but the pure disappointment I have in myself is just terrible. I will back to my regular diet today and make sure I do some extra cardio to make my self feel better. It is just a bump in the road and I am trying to not be so hard on myself. :rolleyes: Oh but on a better note.... Lots of people are noticing my weight loss. Even my husband said something, my friend I have not seen in a month was amazed she said I look so thin!!! It was a nice feeling. I don't know what to say to stuff like that I am not very good at taking compliments. I am noticing it too. Hoping to do good this weekend. Oh I bought new boots yesterday as a reward for my first month. I will wear them on Monday maybe I can be a pound or two lighter. I have not weighed in since wednesday. I am scared to think I gained because of my little slip up. The saying is right nothing taste as good as thin feels!


Tazgirl- You are on metformin too? Thanks for all the info. I posted a thread about it yeaterday and no one said anything about it so I thought I was the only one. That makes me feel better.

Alykat- Hope you had a great birthday, looks Iike I celebrated a little with you :o No more cake for me!!

lacielou dont fret over yesterday, like you said your back on track today. I try and work out everyday but its not always possible either. You may not have gained any weight because of yesterday, If you have not indulged up to this point you dont know how much bad food helps us sometimes. I try and have something bad every once in a while, like chinese, or a burger..you would be surprised that I will lose weight after I do. Its because your body is used to eating healthy ..so it sees something different and works it off. I understand that its really not satisfying anymore, and it really never tastes the same. I had an egg mcmuffin a while ago for the first time in forever and got so sick because of it. You can have what you want every once in a while, if I dont I binge, your doing great and dont stress because stress just makes weight loss harder. I let myself enjoy yesterday and not care about food for one day. I dont regret it, I will just continue working the way I have been

Ok i just wanted to share with u all in case u didnt no about the freedrugcard u can print online and use!!!! ITS AWESOME!!!! I went to get my adipex today and got it at a new pharmacy since walmart couldnt get it in!!!! anyways i took in 3 different freedrug cards i printed online and asked the girl to try them all.....so out of 3 of them they could use one of them at there pharmacy,,,,,,,,yeaaa.....so anyways it would have cost me 70 dollars but instead i got them for 58!!!!! thats pretty good i thought!!!!! a 12 dollar savings each time i get them.....so yea go print u all a card cause they can save u so much money.....and if i would have got the generic with the card i would have only had to pay like 7 dollars.....so its so much worth it.....theres several different types of these cards just print off a few of them and have the pharmacy check to see what ones they take......some of the cards can save u up to 50% on the phen!!!!!!!!!! had to let u all no!!!!!!!! let me no how it works out for you!!!!!!!!!

Late with my weekly report, but here it goes:

I didn't alwas get a full 30 mins of exercise in each day but most days it was at least 20-30 mins just from my normal walking around.

I'm having a hard time getting all the water. I'm supposed to have around 90 ozs and I'm getting more like 72-84, usually.

I quit the phen on Tuesday too! I have a full script in my bag, but I decided I don't want it anymore because I don't like feeling so loopy and I was getting angry with people. It's about to be TOM so I don't know if it was a combo of PMS and the Phen, but I don't like being that way when I'm normally a very calm person.

And my face starting breaking out too, and I don't EVER have those types of issues.

So far, I'm doing it on my own without the Phen. Still maintaining my calories at 1000/day. We'll see how this goes and if I can keep doing it without help. If not, I'll try another script, but probably not the Phen.

I have an idea for the challenge, I think that we should all either buddy up or give eachother more motivation and check up on one another during the week/weekend. I think it would be great if we could meet up in the chat room and talk to one another through chat. i realize everyone is at different timezones and everyone has lives so we could set a few times and days during the week and you could attend at any time. I think we could keep better track of one another and make us have a bit more motivation. I am pretty much available after 730 most weeknights and sometimes during the weekend. What ya think?

OK....I fell off the challenge wagon last night! Everyday as part of my exercise I do the obstacle course for the police academy. WELL I went to run the course yesterday after a very long and crazy 12hrs at work and in the middle of the course (when I have to drag a 150lb dummy) I almost passed out! This never happens, so after thinking about it.....I figured out I had only had 400calories all day and maybe thats what was wrong (400 cals not on purpose it was just so crazy at work I didnt get around to eating anything for lunch!). Anyway...I didnt finish the course in time...which really caused me to stress, because the real deal run is on THURS and its my only chance to get in Jan. Soooo on my way home family says they already have dinner so I dont have to cook just to come home and eat...and whats there when I get home....CHINESE! So...I have a lil of mine (chicken and broccoli) and then a lil of everyone elses. and I dont know if its the stress of failing the test or the stress of knowing I have to pass on thurs but I ate way more than I have been...and then went to the pumpkin with the halloween candy in it! AND to top it all off...TOM is here to visit which always makes me feel tired and my legs sore! GRRRRRR Ok thanks for letting me vent...tried telling my mom all of this and she at 126lbs) says dont worry it will all be fine...and I know it prolly will Just worrying...which is causin' me to want to clean out the fridge and I dont mean throw it all out if you get my drift!

Makeithappen- don't be so hard on yourself. The way I see it is, 80/20. 80% of the time I am really strict with my calories, and the other 20% I let loose a bit. Chinese isn't the most terrible choice you could have made. Yeah its full of sodium and yeah you'll probably be a bit higher on the scale the next day, but its really not that bad. Now the pumpkin pale is another story, lol ! It never seems to fail that when I have chinese food, I need something sweet afterwards. It must be the salt and or MSG depending on where you buy. Thats when I whip out my WW frozen fudge bar for 1point and it takes care of that craving. Listen, the fact that you are following a plan and you feel badly when you have an "oops" moment, is something to be said right there. You could have thrown in the towel and said "s**** this" but you realized what had happened and you move on. WTG !!!! I am one of those people that usually (in my past) has figured that if I screw up and fall off the wagon, all is lost and I just give up. I have a new way of thinking now and that is, if I screw up, I pick myself back up and start all over again. Good luck with your test tomorrow and let us know how you did. I am sure you'll do great !!!

Makeithappen, let yourself endulge sometimes and dont get upset, let yourself have the things you want in moderation and you wont be so tempted to binge. I love chinese...heck no I wont give it up :D ..i just eat a little, and it never fails that I lose a few lbs the next week..magic chinese lmao. If I were you I would have substitute foods around..like firemomma ..I will grab my weight watchers ice cream for that sweet tooth of mine. you just pick yourself up and keep going, if you dont enjoy life then who is to say you can live like this for the rest of yours. Your doing great, keep up the good work and remember to eat! You'll do well on the obstacle course! Even if you dont finish, you can be proud that you can say you can acctually do the obstacles! Your not sitting at home eatting bonbons :D

Im in!!!!! Im not having any trouble getting my water in, I drink at least 100oz a day. Ive been getting around800-900 calories a day. I really need to start exercising. I work 3rd shift and between school, trying to sleep and spend time with my kids Im having one hell of a time getting it done. I dont know if anyone has or does work 3rds, but you NEVER feel rested!

Ok challengers today is weigh in day..let us all know your progress and how your doing!

As for me this past week has had its ups and downs. I had my birthday last week and still managed to keep under 1200 calories, got a wii fit and then I got sick all weekend. I still exercised through my being sick and tried to get calories in but I wasnt so successful with that. My water intake is still about a gallon a day so no problems there. I got a new scale but don't like it. Its all over the place, I havent been able to get on my wii fit in the morning and weigh myself but when I do at night it says 206. which would mean that in the morning I am probably still somewhere around 204. So I have been at a platoe for about 2 weeks now. I even started doing Pilates 2 weeks ago, I guess it could be water retention? Not too worried about it, I kicked my exercise up again this week. I increased my level and distance on my bike and started lifting my weights every day. As well as doing sit ups and jogging, steps, hulla hooping on wii. I got up to 30 sit ups yesterday and did 20 the day before. I am proud of myself for being able to do that many and not feel like I wanted to die, or without my abs killing me. I measured myself sunday and I have lost 25 inches total, 5 of those alone are my hips, from a 48-43inches, my waist has gone down 4 I believe and my bust/back went from 41 to 37-38.. I go for my official doctor wiegh in on friday, since her scale is the one that I officially had my start weight on. My 3 months of phen are up then, she wants to put me on a break..I dont know how long. I will still be kicking my own arss. I am thinking that I may need to get up earlier in the morning and exercise some then, I tend to do it all when I get home from work around 5-7, I dont know if it makes any difference.

I have been MIA and I am sorry but work is pretty crazy so I have not been able to post as much as I would like. Anyways today is offically week two meaning half way done with the challenge. I have done pretty good this week besides my little screw up on thurday and I only worked out 4 of the 5 days I aim for. I drink all my water plus everyday. I think I am the most proud of that. Always my calorie intake has been great with eating about 1000 calories a day sometimes a little less but I never go over. I weighed in this morning at 188.8!!! Yah me!!! I am going to round that number to 189.0 just because I would hate to not be able to hold on to that .8 and make myself think I am gaining. So that means I have lost 3 lbs this week and 7 lbs since the challenge began. 4 more pounds until I reach my first goal!!! Feels great and I am very happy with my results. CONGRATS! aly on your success so far and we will be here for you even when your off of phentermine to motivated and push you to get to where you want to be. iam not sure if all drs go by the same book but once my dr takes you off its every 3 months you can get back on. Well today i weighed in at 152.2 so thats 5.6lbs in 2 weeks so iam happy i just want to get to the next level sooo very badly but it always seems like it takes FOREVER!! only 2.4 more lbs to go before iam at my 4 week challange goal weight. Hello All,
I'm new to the site, I just started taking phen yesterday. Had a great burst of energy all day with little to no appetite. Speed walked on the track for an hour, did 10 minute abs and 30 min cardio workout (NEVER HAVE I HAD SO MUCH ENERGY IN MY LIFE). However, last night I did not sleep a wink. I think I’m going to take some Tylenol PM’s tonight. My doctor said insomnia is a side effect that will go away, I hope so. Did anyone else have this problem?

yes and after the 1st week you will be back to normal lol. what time do you take phentermine? even though they say dont take it after 2pm i take it between 945 and 1030 am. lol other then that dont you love the energy? for some it wears off next tuesday makes 4 months on phen for me and i still have it.

Well I weighed yesterday because it is my weigh in day and I lost another 3lbs for the week...Thats a total of 12lbs for the 2 weeks that i've been taking phen....I am getting in all of my water everyday, but my calories are still under what it should be....

Well, this past week has had its moments and I must say, I'm glad it is over. I have done good with my calories and water intake, but lagged on the exercise a bit. I seemed to have pulled a muscle (didn't even know I had one there:)) in my thigh, so my work out was limited to upper body. The scale was not nice, going up and down all week. Today I weighed in at exactly what I did last week, so no gain, no loss. Its all good though. I did however find myself a Wii Fit yesterday at Target (was so excited b/c they never have them in stock in Vegas) so that is my next fun thing to do. I wonder, does anyone know if it is hard to put together or should I wait until one of my boys can help me? I'm pretty excited about it ! Anyway, i'm here, just pluggin away and I will get to my goal by Halloween, I hope.........

Crap week - TOM and sick. I finished midterms but still have a bunch of work PLUS this week is Torrey Conference (no class, but 4 lectures/sermons a day).Hopefully I'll have better luck next week. This week weigh in is 222.

Weighed in at 179.5 today - started low carb yesterday to boost the loss at 181.5 so I guess it's working! Drinking lots of water, it's hard to keep track because my daughter takes a lot of my water so I can't do what I usually do and multiply the ounces in the bottle by the number of bottles I drink... but in any case I think I'm staying in a really good range.

Exercise has been mostly walking and benchpressing my girls - and my oldest one is almost 40 lbs so that's a good workout! She also sits on my feet/ankles and I do leg presses that way :D

Calorie intake is fine - yesterday I only had 11% DV of my carbs so my low carb is going well! Good job everyone!!! :D

So today is the week one weigh in for the challenge and I am 184.4lbs. So the first week I have lost 2.6lbs. Well on my way to my 10lb goal for the challenge. Keep up the good work ladies, see you next Wednesday!

So today I am 182.8 so I am down another 1.6lbs, plus it is TOM so i am looking forward to a big number next weigh in. Total for the challenge I am down 4.2lbs...time to kick it up a notch. Good luck ladies!

So i think that the phen has finally leveled out in my system because for my 2nd week weigh in I lost 3 lbs...Im still stoked because ANY loss is just that... a LOSS!!! Im drinking my daily water plus some (I love water!) but the exercising has been a challenge. Im gonna try something a bit different because I need something that is fun as well so I stay motivated! I wonder if anyone has had any luck with Zumba? Ive heard people mention it but am still unsure if it is what I want to do.

There are many fun exercises you can do! I love dance dance revolution on workout mode! I work my tail off and have so much fun. I love just cranking up my music and doing regular exercises to the music, jumping jacks, sit ups, etc.

Hello all! I had one crazy week too! Aly and Firemama..I DID IT!!!!!! I was only 29 seconds under the time...but thats passing so....next step is an review board with 3 captains....and then its off to the academy for me :) !! I got to get on the scale at work (same I used last week)...and it said 271...which is a 2lbs loss which is great for me...seeing as I had a lot of pasta last night to get ready for today (dont know if i needed it..but the boys told me it was good for me before game day!) and lets not forget the chinese and pumpkin bowl disaster! I am getting my water and exercise....and now that the course is over I can start working out even more! Good job everyone keep up the good work!!!!!!

hey if you cant find it you can customize your own. They dont always have all of our foods. Just go to fitday, on your food log page, on the left hand side under the scrolls browse foods, recent foods, and custom foods, there is a button that says create your custom foods, you just add the title and all the nutritional value yourself :)


There's a great site that I use to count my calories - calorieking.com. They also know the calories for restaurant-type food and (dare I say it) FAST food. Yuck!

I have been on Phen for 6 days, so I will give my stats - from 192.2 to 184.9....and today at 185.7. I was disappointed, but I do have my TOM, and from what everyone else says, that is why. But, WHY? Waterweight not lost? Whatever it is, hopefully I am truly what the scale said 2 days ago.

Everyone seems to be doing great! I love water myself, but have consumed every bottle of it in the house (lol). I need to buy another case tomorrow.

And I forgot whose post I saw who just joined, but yes - the insonia goes away. Unfortunately, so does the energy surge. In 44 hours (my first day of Phen, plus the next day), I only slept 1 1/2 hrs!!! I took 1/2 of a sleeping pill and got my schedule back on track. No issues now.

Personal question - is anyone else constipated? I'm thinking I need an enema~ LMAO.

I guess a realistic goal for Nov 5 would be to get down to 236. I havent been drinking all my water, so i will start drinking 120oz a day of water and continue to work out 5 times a week on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

Rlw6202- we are almost the same weight and I am having the same issues. The scale seems to go up and down each morning. However, it seems to me that I will go up and down (within a pound) for a week or two, then suddenly I drop to a new number and then start the whole process over again. So, it is a plateau, but eventually you will get past it and start losing. I would keep exercising like you are, drinking all your water for the day and eating healthy and push past this. It has to change at some point right? :)

HEY i just seen ur message....im here!!!!! i just cant get online to much right now as im running on like not even half of a battery charge on my laptop......my lil doggie got a hold of my adapter cord to my laptop and chewed it all up so now i had to order another one and it wont be in until monday.....so yea....i BEEN GOIN CRAZZZZZY without it.......the computer store charged my battery for me a little bit so i could at least come on and check my messages......I did get the funeral all over with was a very sad day!!!! but im hangin in there still......I am now also dwn to247.2//// been working my butt off like crazy moving.....my house hasnt sold yet so i am just renting it for now.....i been painting all day and cleanin the new house im moving into....so im sooooooooooooooooooo tired as ever.......i been trying to drink more water....dont no whats up the last couple days but my heart has been fluttering alot and i just havnt been feelin well....also my feet are very cold and my toes are so numb always now.....im so worried about these things goin on.......i went to docter the other day and my blood presure is also 140/ 90 the docter said im to young to be having such a high bp! Congrats! That's fantastic. I have been away all weekend at my BF's dad's house for a golfing tourney and guess what? I ended up playing! Me and 79 guys. Ugh. My team won and I got 5 1/2 hrs of exercise in, so it was well worth it. I haven't weighed myself in a few days and am dreading the scale. I didn't have too much water during the tourney cause I knew there was no where to use the bathroom along the way! Men have it way too easy when it comes to that! Lol.

Oh and my goal by Nov 5th is to be out of the 180's. Workin on it!

Where is everyone? I know we are all so busy we don't get a chance to check in too often. If you are like me I am keeping up with the challenge but dont have time to post all the time. I have been doing good I can honestly say I have been drinking all my water and trying my hardest to excercise 5 days a week. Calories are easy for me and I met those with out even trying. Thank goodness something comes easy. Well tomorrow is a new weigh in and the last week of the challenge begins! Oh man can you believe October is almost over? I have not weighed recently but I am defintley noticing a differance in how my clothes are fitting. Everyone else is noticing too. It is very motivating to have other comment and notice my progress so far. I am more driven then ever towards my goals! Good luck everyone and hope to hear from you all tomorrow and good luck on those scales!!

looks like your doing great! Feels good when others notice doesnt it. Just wish that I could notice it lol. I have been doing good with my food and water intake. I have been forcing myself to eat as usual..I hate that but cant complain. I finally broke my platau yesterday and my scale said 203..If I am lucky it will be lower tomorrow :)...I have been exercising and I started jogging on Wii fit...as well as doing jacknives, and other muscle training. I can seriously feel it in my abs! Hope to see everyones progress tomorrow!

Well I had a good week even though I didn't keep up w/ANYTHING!! bad me! lol I'm back down to 144!! Stress & phen. We went to a block party on Sat & I'm proud to say I didn't eat a thing! I waited till we got home to eat. And my daughter got some halloween candy and i didn't have any of that either. However i did have some cookies n cream icecream last night. (week beforeTOM sweets craving) Might be thinking of upping my phen to 30mg a day right now i'm on 15mg a day.

Well as i posted over the weekend i hit my 4 week challange early of 149.8. Today i weigh in at 147.6 which is 10.2lbs lost in 3 weeks. Iam not giving up! This week i worked harder i even started adding pasta a couple days a week because my body is doing really well with it. I know its going to get harder and harder for me because my goal is 17lbs away OMG! i just cant believe ive come this far. The last week on the challange i will add sit ups in my work out no matter how much they kill me and i will start putting more variations of foods in my daily schedule so when iam done losing all the weight i would hope it would be a little easier to maintain :) good luck on weigh in day guys and girls and i cant wait for the next mini challange :)

I offically meet my goal for the challenge a week early!!! I met my first goal. I weighed in at 184.8 this morning!!! I am rounding up to 185 and that is a total of 23 lbs lost in 6 weeks and 12 lbs lost since the challenge started!!! I am so happy I am getting to my goal weight and sooooo motivated to keep losing! I want to lose a extra 2 maybe 3 lbs this week to finsh out the challeng at 15 lbs lost! Hope I can do it. I've had a week of overtime hours at work and overtime hours of stress but i managed to step up my workouts to 35 minutes instead of 30 minutes...I know it doesn't sound like much but I weighed myself after I woke up and the scale said I was at 263 lbs!!! That's 6 lbs this week!!! I hit my 4 week goal a week early!! I'm so stoked!!! I figured my body was hitting a plateau because of the little loss last week so I tried some suggestions from here and they must have worked for me!!! That makes 16 lbs for the challenge and 28 lbs since starting Phen. I go to the doctor tomorrow for my one month check-up so I'm hoping their scale says less than mine does!!!:D

Alykat, that's great! I am sure you'll hit Onederland very soon. You've been working really hard and although the scale hasn't budged, I have a feeling that it will go down a few lbs instantly!

As for myself, I am at 184.6, only 3 ozs less, but that's alright. A loss is a loss. I have been going crazy w the water consumption (lol), but that's because I love water. This is the first time since I was pregnant that I have gotten out of bed to pee at night! Ha ha. Still, I know I am flushing out my system and that's a good thing.

I did some looking-up of websites related to drinking water and they were pretty much on track w how much one should drink. And they also said your body will adjust to the amt you drink so eventually you won't be running to the potty every hour. It's hard for me at work because I drive around from doctor to hospital all day and find myself doing the "pee pee" dance in my car! Lol. It's all good though.

Hi Everyone!! Sounds like everyone had at least an ok week. I have done great with the water and not so hot with the exercise. Once I passed my test I was so excited to not have to do it...that I have pretty much done nothing. I have a lot going on at work and at home so thats my lil excuse for this week....but I am going to bust my butt this week! I went to the dr today...and his scale was 270 (it kept going between that and 269.5, but i am going with the 270 so if I dont lose next week I might be able to use that .5!) So that means 1 lbs for me...I am almost down the weight of what my gun belt will be.....so I still have a long way to go! Everyone keep up the good work...!!

I am kinda worried that I am loosing to fast........I know that sounds odd....I have done better with the water...not yet up to what I should drink but much better than before. Exercise.....thats another story. My knee has been giving me some trouble so all I have been able t do is walk but the way I see it is at least I am doing something and not just sitting around. I go for my offical doctor appt. today so then I will update my weight lose then. I have read all the other posts ..........BOY EVERONE IS DOING SO GOOD..........I am proud of you all.....keep it up .

Darn it.... why does my weight always drop on Thursday, when our weigh-in is Wednesday, lol ! Got on the scale today and I was THRILLED! First, I made my 4 week challange 6 days early. Granted, I only set my goal at 3-4lbs b/c I am still losing at a snails pace. But... I made it none the less and don't think I have ever actually followed through with a goal not to mention met it. I am so proud. Second, I finally made it under my mini goal (which was pretty much what I set for the 4 week challange) and that was to get out of the 140's. I have been dreaming of 139 for at least 3 years now and today can say I made it. You girls are the only ones that actually understand how exciting it is to accomplish this. Today is going to be a GOOD day !!!!

I like weighing on saturdays and sundays because its always lower. Probably because I can sleep in and pee a few more times before I wake up and weigh in. Amazing its always 2 or 3 pounds lower than weighing a few hours earlier :D. I just wish I could get a scale already, I will this weekend for sure!

Marie- weight loss is weight loss. People say the quicker it falls off the faster it can come back on. It all depeds on the person ive seen someone lose 40lbs in a year and gain 60back so it depends on how committed you are and how much you let your self gain back before doing something about it.Like someone said when i first started in july gain 5lbs and lose it because once you keep gaining and saying to yourself dont worry ill lose it eventually before you know it you gained 20-30lbs and it just gets worse from there. If your pace is faster then most wow be so happy for that. Iam on the same boat. i started July 8th and i have lost almost 64lbs. And all i do is low calorie diet drink my water and exercise. i dont think i do anything differently to lose weight. So be happy for that. you are strong and i can guarentee after your at your goal you will be able to maintain no matter how fast you lost the weight

I know i can do it and i will do it! and same for you i started i think 2 weeks before you and Aly so we have been here together through this and we will defiently all finish with sucess no matter how long it takes us to hit our goals and coach eachother after we are done to help for successful maintaining.

Your right mommy2belle, From what I was told by a doctor: dont ever say you will lose it eventually, because when you gain weight your body creates fat cells, and when you lose weight its just losing the weight in the cell and not the cell itself. That is why it is so easy to regain the weight back that you once lost. It is harder for your body to gain weight it has never had a cell for and easier for your body to fill it right back up. This is why those who have been active most of their lives dont gain weight as easy if they allow themselves to eat a bit more here or there. It will always be harder for us who have a lot of weight to lose because those cells dont need to be recreated.

Sorry to post so late! Today I am 219.4, and this week is my second week on a whole pill. So it's a 2.6 loss since last week, even while on Tom! I did excersise 5 days this week and have been trying to drink all my water but I'm falling short. I'm pretty sure I'm retaining water right now so hopefully my weight will drop off a little next week! I'm hoping that Halloween won't sabatage me too much since I'm going to this giant school wide ball at my sisters university so maybe I'll burn some calories from dancing! I'm trying to focus on my relationship with God right now and also my grades because I want to study abroad next year and I need to keep my GPA where it is to go. Don't know if I'll have a chance to work out today since I have a take home test AND a three hour class (geology...grr) at six. So all in all, hectic but happy. I will work out either today or tomorrow and be sure to drink my water! Good luck to all of you and Happy Halloween!

When I got home from work, I started working on things for tomorrow and then my stomach started to hurt. I am laying on the couch trying to get it to settle, but it's not well. I will have to do some extra walking tomorrow while trick or treating w the kids.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

So I bought a new pedometer, thanks to the suggestion of another member Glenna, and started using it last night. I ran 3 miles at night and it felt wonderful! I haven't been on the scale in a few days but am excited to see if I've dropped any weight this weekend. I am planning to take the dog out again this morning and have my kids come on their bikes. Should be good!

Hey there guys!

I am with you there firemama, tomorrow is our big weigh in isnt it? I know I have lost 2 lbs in that time lol, oh well the difference is that I have lost over 10 inches this month so I cant complain. I'm not on phen right now and I drank this weekend..not to mention gave into my cravings of cupcakes! Well I lost a lb when I got on the scale today so it seems as if my body liked that I was acctually getting some calories for once lol (since I force myself to eat) Well see if it goes down again tomorrow :D

iam ready to weigh in tomorrow! i defiently didnt lose as much as other weeks i went to Kobe on Saturday and gained .4oz which yeah i know isnt much but it took 2 days to fall off! LOL so it was alot if you look at it that way. Good luck to everyone and we should do a Gobble challange or something. I know we had a few more days for the halloween so we could even do it until the monday after turkey day because iam sure people go away for the weekend to visit family. Any ideas?

I have fell off the wagon the last few days. I dont know if it was because I was doing so well for a while there...or because I tried to not eat all the yummy bad stuff that everyone else was...and I just gave in. I feel bad about it, and as much as I want to I just cant seem to get back on track! What makes it worse is I know I have too...and as much as I try not to think of it as a diet...everyone keeps reminding me I am on one. Try working in a small room with 12 other women (who bake all the dang time or have something I shouldnt be eating!), sitting at a computer for 12hrs (which when you get bored you really want those baked goods), and cutting your exercise short because you are just to dang tired! I know I can do this cause I have the past few weeks...but now I am starting to see that I have to try and change everything about my life (and it doesnt help that I am stressing about this huge interview coming up this mth!) Blah...just BLAH! ok enough of that..good luck in the morning everyone!

I thought I would post before work...........When I got up this morning the scale said 255.8.....yes I went down even with the bad week I have had at work.I had 4 terminal residents and lost 3 off them in 2 days and the other one could be any day.When I loose someone at work it just kills me and I get stressed out and want to eat.But I also know that I should not do that because they are in a better place than we are............Okay off the sad..........I do have a resident that is 102 yrs old. She doesnt talk alot but the other day she was reaching out and rubbing my belly.I ask her do you like playing with all that fat .....she let out a little laugh and looked up and said GONE....That was cool that even she noticed. I have done very good on the water. I have noticed that with the more water I drink my skin is less dry, with the winter coming on that helps.I must confuse the exercise has been very little this week. But I plan on kicking it back up this week. Everyone keep up the good job that I know you have done.
I just looked back to my last post .....last week 258 so I am down some.

Ok I weighed in this morning at 181.0. That is a total of 15 lbs for the challenge. and 3 lbs for the week. I did good on my water this week but exercise was not so great and that damn halloween candy!!! LOL I had a couple of treats... ok ok a lot of treats on Saturday. Well my 2 months on Phen is almost here and I am down a total of 27lbs so far. I am really happy with this loss overall and hope to continue phen until I reach my goal of 150. I am now working on my next goal of 175 by christmas that is only 6 lbs away!!! Everyone seems like they are doing well good luck to all.

I have a ton of faith that you will certainly reach your goal of 175 by Christmas...way to go!! That's fantastic!

I got my "Last Chance Workout" in last night and ran 5 1/2 miles. Well, to be honest I didn't RUN the entire way, but a large portion. I was out for an hour and ten mins. Not bad for me.

I have been on Phen for just shy of 3 weeks and today the scale read 182.3. I couldn't help but open my eyes wide, smile brightly, and say "YESSSSS!!!" It was pretty comedic. Still, I am sooooo happy to see those numbers.

Great job everyone, so far.... When does our next 4 week challenge start?

Lacielou - 27lbs is awesome for 2 mths!

I got on to the scale this morning scared to death...I have done good with my water..but everything else has been bad! BUT to my surprise...it said 267lbs! I couldnt be happier...and I know there were things I shouldn't have ate..but I wonder if I haven't been eating enough stuff. Maybe I am trying to hard to eat everything that is 100% right...low cal, low fat, low carb. and in that Im not getting everything I need. Because even when I would slip up on something...I still tried to do good the rest of the day...(no soda, fried). Any thoughts on that one?? Anyway hope everyone is doing good and thanks to everyone who has posted (and gave advice) without all of that I think sometimes I would be lost! Hopefully we can start that TURKEY DAY challenge!

So the scale read 201 this morning and I was so excited, but I got on again a minute later and it was 202 again, so I will just stick with that, I am very pleased because it seems like I lose weight when I eat more which is something I rarely do, i had cupcakes and soda, chips, cookies, junk food and the scale moved 2 lbs the past week. I think my body just needed a shock and loves the calories I am consuming. I still exercise and have been running on my wii fit.. I did 4 miles in 30 minutes the other day. My water consumption has gone down a bit but I seriously think I was depleting my electrolite count so slowing the water intake has been good. I still get less than my coloric intake recommends and am not eating all that crap this week so I am hoping for onederland next week!!! heres to crossing fingers lol.

So I've decided that Halloween, alcohol and candy seem to go together very nicely!! LOL!! I stayed away from the candy, but the alcohol was a different story...I'm never drinking again!! I gained 6lbs between Thurs. and Sat. and it took me until Monday to get rid of it (I'm sure it was mostly water weight gain) My weight for the challenge is 260lbs. Thats 3 more lbs lost for a total of 31lbs since I started Phen Oct. 2nd and 19lbs for the challenge!!! (5lbs more than my goal!) I LOVE the awesome motivation here and I can definately say that if I didn't have this place to come to, I would never have lost this weight! Thanks girls (and guys!) for the AMAZING support system!!

Alright ladies, 1st weigh in and I am 187.0lbs. My goal is 177.0lbs. in the 4 week challenge. Water isnt a problem for me anymore, its like second nature now. I will be doing my 30 minutes 5 days a week as well. Good Luck to all of you!!



Well I have reached my goal.....I am 174.6 today so I lost 12.4lbs total and my goal was 10 for the challenge. I was very happy I made it and a little surprised. My husband got back from Afghanistan last week and I have slipped up a bit, on the exercise that is. I still ate very well and got my water in but some days we were to busy for the exercise. Good job on the challenge ladies!!! :D

I weighed in today at 144.6 which is 13.2 lost in 4 weeks. I cant believe it. Iam so proud of everyone here you all did a great job. Losing weight could be one of the most difficult things ive ever had to do and we all are achieving it :) Cant wait for next challange :)

Today my final weigh in is 216.8, which means 8.7 lbs this Month. Not as great as I hoped for but I guess it's really pretty good when I consider that I got sick twice this month, went through two horrific weeks of midterms and had Halloween. I must admit though, I did not work out as much as I should have so that is going to have to change in the next month. Next week is my 1 1/2 year anniversary with my boyfriend and also my first minigoal, which is 215. I'm positive I can lose 1.8 pounds in one week so I'm ready for it! Good luck to you all and thank you for the motivation!

Da** snail!!!!!! Yep, it is slow goin, but at least we are on the right path !!!! Just got back from a field trip with my son and walked 2 miles in the Nevada wetlands..... not exactly what I was wanting to do for exercise, but the main guide told us that we walked 7,000 steps (she wears one of those things on her arms). So, I guess I can call it a day on the exercise right???
