Hi my name is Julia. I have taking phentermine for a month and a half now. I have lost 14 lbs so far and feel good. The problem is I have noticed the last two weeks, my hunger has not be subsided as much as the first month. I am eating more, and getting frustrated. I am still drinking a lot of water, my mouth is dry and I am always thirsty. I excersise alot, 5-6 times a week for at least 30 mins. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else felt like they hit a wall at some point?:

What mg are you on? It may need to be increased. You are losing good and exercising great, keep it up! I also take my phen on an empty stomach and wait a full hour before I eat anything.

Remember, we did not gain our weight overnight and it will not leave that way either----darn it!

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I am taking 37.5 mg, I will probably check with my dr. next week if still having the same issue. I do take my pill at 7 am and then eat around 8 or 8:30, during the week though it is usally on the run. Eating in the car as I drop off the kids at school.it is usally a protein bar, or a bowl of oatmeal.
The hardest times for me are afternoon snacking time and late night, after dinner. I am also having a hard time at night, if I have a late game, I am always tempted to eat something when I get home. Any suggestions on something I can eat that is light when this happens?
Thank you,
Julia

My pharmacist told me to take my pill later in the morning, around 9 or 9:30, otherwise I'd start getting hungry in the evening. Don't know if that would help or not, but I've lost almost 30 pounds since late July by doing it that way, with a 2-week exception when I ran out and my doctor was out of town.

By the way, the 2 week break from the phen seemed to jump-start my weight-loss again and I lost another 11 pounds in a week and a half after losing 17 pounds in the first round. This was all with no exercise besides what I get at work by lifting/carrying boxes and walking around.

So, you may want to try taking your pill later in the morning, as well as taking a short break from the pills. Good luck!

Hi Julia -

I would echo the suggestions given above. I'm taking 37.5 mg. I went to the doctor yesterday. One of the things he told me was there is room to go up on the dosage if this one becomes ineffective. Also, I'd try taking it around 11 am to avoid late night hunger/temptation.

You're doing great!
