I have been on Phen for about two months now and have been doing really well and have lost 20 lbs and over 15 inches. However, just yesterday I have been diagnosed with having seizures on the left side of my brain. Now this is not caused by the Phen so do not be alarmed. My symptoms have been going on for several months and I put it all together and went to see a Neurologist. So this is what I was diagnosed with. My doctor has put me on TopAmax. I am kind of nervous taking it with the Phen, but he does tell me that it will be ok together and infact the one side effect on the medication is weightloss. However, I am taking water pills twice a week and Lipb/B12 injections twice a month. My doctor still says that it will be alright, but I am still kind of nervous. Has anyone out there ever taken this drug while taking Phen? Any information would help greatly. Thank you:confused:

I have been on topamax 25mg 2x a day for migraines for the past month with phen. And I just went to the doctor monday and he raised the topamax to 50mg 2x a day. I have not had any problems so far . I don't know about the water pill or the B12.

Ok, so the Topamax was absolutely aweful! They definitely nicknamed it the crazy drug for a reason!:eek: I had really bad side effects from it and they switched me to Depakote ER. This pill seems to be alot better and I am taking it in the evening so that I sleep through any side effects. However, when I take my Phen in the morning I seem to have a jittery feeling. I also can not seem to catch my breath like I am totally stressed out. I thought that maybe it was stress from work, but I took it today where I was in a relaxed enviroment and still the same situation. However, after I had lunch it seemed to have calmed down quite a bit. My questions is, has anyone ever taken this drug with Phen? If so, what were your side effects like, if any? I am going to give it a couple of more days before I quit the Phen unitl I am taken off this medicine which will not be anytime soon. Maybe I will only try taking a half a pill. I am very bummed about this because I have been doing so well:( However, I do know my health is priority...obviously but still it is still disappointing. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have been taking topamax with phen for 6 weeks now for migraines. The first two weeks were mild-I had trouble sleeping, and thinking clearly. It get's better - don't give up. Some doctors actually prescribe both of these as a weight loss combo to maximize weight loss results.

I am on both depakote and topamax, I have been taking the depakote with no problems with the phen, I have not started the topamax yet, I am still waiting for the pharmacy to fill it. But I will keep you posted if I have any problems taking it with the phen. I think that it will be fine.
