Effects of Phen on a random drug screen?

I've been taking phen for almost 2 weeks now. I got selected for a random drug screen (5 panel) at work yesterday. My dr prescribed it for me, so I have a scrip for it. But my question is - will it show up on a drug screen? I called my drs office and the receptionist said it "could" show up as meth! :eek:

Has anyone taken a drug screen and had it show up? I have not been randomly tested in over 5 years! I take phen less than 2 weeks and this is what I get!

If anyone has any other information, I'd appreciate it!

Make sure you notify the screener and take your script bottle with you as proof. You shouldn't have a problem.

My Dr. told me up front that if I were to take a drug test that I would test positive for amphetamines. She said to take my script bottle to the testing site, give them the Dr.'s phone number and not to worry. As long as they know it is not illegal drugs they will be okay with it.

I was told the same thing. I'm currently looking for a new job and that's one of my worries. I carry my bottle with me now just in case.

I also had a random drug test for work two weeks after I started taking phen and I was paranoid about it, but it DID NOT show up on the drug test (I had the hair sample drug test which I guess is supposed to be the best).

When I went to the clinic, they did not ask me about any medication I was on. We use a national company for our drug screen program. If I test positive I will have to call an 800# and talk to the dr. at the lab.

I've read some of the older discussions and gotten everything from it does not show up to it does. I'm probably worrying about nothing. I took phen about 10 years ago and was selected for a drug screen, but it did not show up. I know some of the tests are a little different now.

I should know something by Friday.

We did in house drug screens at my old job and my co worker was taking phen, she didnt know why her test showed up positive for meth but it was because of the phen.

I would think that any employer would be happy to see that you are doing something to make yourself healthier. As the others have said, you have nothing to worry about since you obtained your Phen legally, through a doctor.

I got my results back today, it was negative.

So I guess I was worried about nothing.

Wonder if it shows up in some of the ones taking a higher dosage? I'm looking for a new job and will probably be subjected to a drug screening. So I'm nervous about disclosing that since that might put me under scrutiny. However, wouldn't disclose to employer necessarily. Would disclose to drug screening company and hope that wouldn't necessarily get back to potential employer. Hate to tell people that might not understand. I showed up somewhere last night that I haven't seen some of these people in a couple months. The look on their faces was astonishment. It was kinda fun. I tell ya, it increases the stress to keep off the weight though.

The company I work for uses Verifications, Inc. for drug screens. It did show up on the basic test, but their policy allows for extensive testing before reporting a positive result. Most results are back in 24 hours, my test took 6 days.
