Visitors, if you want a state-by-state reference of doctors, please post in this thread.

I wonder if the moderators of this forum could create a new permanent forum, something like:
Medical Weight Loss Doctors by State

Then, in that category would be a list of the 50 states of the USA.

Then, visitors could post their doctor information in each thread that would consider prescribing phentermine.

Obesity is an epidemic. We need help. Please, moderators, help us.

According to the CDC website:

Adult Men Obese in 2006 was 33.3%. That is 1/3 of the adult men population.
Adult Women Obese in 2006 was 35.3%, more than 1/3 of the adult women population.

These people had a BMI of 30 or more. As for the overweight category (above 25 bmi), more than half the adult population is overweight.

Now, let's talk about the medical conditions this overweight/obesity causes.
Of all the 'adult onsent' diabetes diagnosis, 85% of these typeII diabetes diagnosis were overweight.

Do you all know that typeII diabetes can easily take over a decade off your life, and drastically lower the quality of life? the immune system is greatly affected by typeII diabetes, whether it is properly treated or not, the impact on the immune system is great.

49% of all high blood pressure (hypertension) in males is related to overweight.
60.4% of all high blood pressure in woman is related to overweight (over half).

Do you know what hypertension does to your kidneys, and your eyes (retina)? And your lifespan (the heart has to 'push' the blood much harder in a tighter tube system, increasing the heart workload, increasing the time your heart will stop working for you and you die)?

Phentermine moderators, please help us find doctors who medically treat patients with diet medications.

Not those 'latest' clinics that give you 4 shakes a day to eat! I went to one of these quaks. This guy had all these 'credentials' behind his name, it cost $500/month for his 'diet shakes', and he didnt believe in exercise! I repeatedly had discussions with him about exercise, and in his own words: exercise is a complete waste of time.

Uh, folks, exercise doesnt just help lose weight by burning calories and raising your bmi. It makes you live longer by fighting off diseases (it boost your immune system, raises endorphins to make you feel better, lowers risk of cancer, and makes you look younger), but it makes you feel better and in low to mid intensity gives you more energy throughout the day.

It is amazing how un-educated many doctors remain on the treatment of obesity and the effects of exercise.

Moderators of the phentermine forum, please help us live a longer and better life by helping the visitors here find doctors that have a clue.

thank you.

According to the CDC, 63% of the adult population is overweight.

Being overweight directly contributes to heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, diabetes, impairs quality of life, increases health care costs (your money) etc.

According to the CDC, the SECOND leading cause of death is directly related to OBESITY (bmi 30 or more), second only to tobacco related deaths.

I would guesstimate that is conservative when further studies can definitively link obesity to the beforementioned ailments (diabetes, heart disease etc), and then, by far, the leading 'indirect' cause of death will be: obesity.

According to the CDC, in 2004 about 400,000 deaths were related to obesity.

Here are the other death stats, and as you can see by these numbers, if one could definitively show the link that we all know with death and obesity, the number would actually be much higher (the numbers for heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes is 1,430,101, or nearly 1.5million):

Number of deaths for leading causes of death:

Heart disease: 652,091
Cancer: 559,312
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 143,579
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 130,933
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 117,809
Diabetes: 75,119
Alzheimer's disease: 71,599
Influenza/Pneumonia: 63,001
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 43,901
Septicemia: 34,136

In closing, the cost of obesity for us to be retiree's is great. The cost of medical care continues to rise, and the coverage of medicare continues to drop. Many elderly have filed bankruptcy and returned to work (ever see and talk to them in walmart?) to try to cover medical bills.

I think that it is obvious that if you are not obese and thus do not have hypertension and diabetes, that the costs of your medications would be greatly reduced, you could stay in retirement not having to go work at walmart at 65y/o, and the quality of your life (your activity level) would be greatly increased as we traveled the USA in our RVs.

Again, an appeal to these phentermine.com moderators: Please help us find doctors in the states that will medically treat us with diet medications!

Help us stay in retirement.

Help us live a longer life, and a higher quality life, by helping the visitors here find doctors that have a clue!

Visitors:

If you would like to have a forum here in phentermine.com where there is a list of all states with doctor info in each one, please post here.

Perhaps I am wrong: maybe you all do not want a state-by-state reference of doctors who will help you fight obesity by prescribing diet medications.

If you are interested, please post here to tell the moderators what you want.

If I am wrong, this thread will simply die on its own, and the moderators will have been correct in not having such a resource.

sorry for the three posts, but I couldnt think of everything initially.

Visitors, if you want a state-by-state reference of doctors, please post in this thread.

A Dr.s State by State Forum would be great. I am seeing a Dr at a dirty run down weight clinic and get my meds every 2 weeks, but would love a real Dr in a legit medical center that would care about my health and perscribe monthly.

I am concerned for others that may have worse conditions or even buying garbage online.

MODERATORS.....are you taking notice??

This would be AWESOME! I hope more people respond to this because I know a lot of people could most definitely benefit from having a list of all the docs by state. Good Idea and good luck!

We have suggested this before. Daisee has been trying to concoct a list of drs. There are a few sites that can be used. The Center For Medical Weightloss....Dr Michael Anchors....I can't remember the other site name. Maybe Daisee will have it.

I am new to this forum and joined specifically to help me find a doctor in my area. I just moved and am struggling to stay on the plan that I started over 3 months ago. This is because I can't find a good doctor in the Madison, WI area. I am feeling a little desperate. A list that could be updated by the members would help others avoid feeling the "small freak out' that I am feeling. I am not willing to take the medication alone without being monitored by a physician so now I am left to try and find a new way to continue losing weight and learning to be healthy.
