This challenge is for anyone who wants to bust it down and lose as much as they can by Sept 1st. We will post and encourage each other and most of ya'll know the basics of these challenges. Of course we will weigh in every Friday, if your comfortable, if not still check in and let me know how you are doing. I started a challenge when I first got on these meds 3 years ago and it helped me alot, I didn't know which challenge to join, so I thought I would try a new one. Personally my goal is to lose 25 lbs by the end of this, if not, I may go in for surgery. With that in mind ladies feel free to get in my butt if you see me slipping. I like seeing the weight loss from my fellow challengers on here , it encourages me more and I am happy to see anyone reach their own personal goals. If there's anything ya'll need to know to help yourselves, just ask, I'm struggling a little now, but I have had alot of success before.With all of this, let's get it started!!!!! Good Luck!!!:D

Thanks for joing Tareka, your lucky cause you lose alot of your weight in their first month on phen. My first month I lost 18 and then 5-10 lbs everyday afterwards, Good luck !!! if we eat right and exercise good we will be slammin!!! (LOL) I will be on tonight to check in and see if anyone else joins..Ang

I'm in like flint. I've been having alot of problems getting the last ten lbs off..summer is hard for me since the kids are off from school I don't get to the gym like I normally do, and our routine is totally thrown off......So Im all for weighing in every friday (if y'all will have me)...

Had some great days, fair days, and awful days in eating, but right now, I'm in the "great days" category, and want to stay there for a while! :) Luv the title of your challenge; let's get this party started!! :D

Hi scatanafas, and welcome, I have a harder time too because the kids are out of school. I just started trying to ride the bikes with them one is 8 so she can keep up with me, (sometimes pass me!)(LOL) and the other is 4. She rides to slow, so I put her in the seat, but she gained alot since last summer and it is hard, but it's a good workout, or we just go for a walk, swim, dance or play on our trampoline, cause it is a mess trying to take them to the gym.Good luck and maybe you can figure out a ruintine that's good for you and your kids. Hello Cd creations and thanks I'm glad you like the name and I'm glad to see your in your great days, that's a good way to start this. My past two weeks have been awful days, cookouts and birthdays and stuff, or just eating fast foods cause it's too hot!!. That's one of the reasons I started this cause I've been off to a good start this week and I want ya'll with me, and we know we can all do this, no matter what each individual goal is, and like cd said get it started!!!

Thanks for the great welcome!! To clarify, I started my great days of eating last Monday, because over the holiday weekend, I was terrible!! Sweets, lots of carbs, lots of soda, cake (my weakness!), you name it, and from all that crazy eating, I ballooned up 5 pounds in just a little over a week!! I'm traveling with my daughter and adorable grandson (who is turning 6 this Sunday!) to Six Flags next month, and I would luv to be able to buy a new (and smaller) bathing suit for that day!! Let's drink lots of water today, and do this thang!! :)

omg cd that's about what happened to me too! I ate too much stuff got lazy and put on 5 or 6 lbs I think they might be going or so I hope. We just went to six flags darien lake and my fear was being too fat for the rides so I didn't ride as much as I used to back in the day when we used to go, But I did walk around it like 80 times..(lol) Where are my other chalengers??? Ladies!!!! Today my exercise was bike riding since i typed at the top to scatanafas, I thought I might step it up. Why did I even try, I had my 40lb 4 year old in her seat, we had 10 lbs of ice fruit and water, and I live on a hill, going down is cool, but geting up!! omg! I wish I had a video camera so ya'll could of seen me try....We rode for awhile and then we stopped at the pool so she could swim and I could breathe..LMAO!!! Anyway, tomorow we can weigh in and I'm probably going to do my measurements, so If I don't lose any I can at least see if I lost any inches good luck to everyone and I'll be on in the morning..Ang

Good morning Ladies,, I hope everyone has been doing good. Since monday I have lost 4 lbs, I know it's only recycled weight that I keep losing and gaining but I'll take it and hope for more(lol). The weekends are hard for me for some reason, eating out, relaxing more ect.. If you guys check in, get in my a@# cause I don't wanna slip. I need to do this. Everyone needs to do this ok? When I get off here I'm gonna write down my measurements, I ate good all week , but last night I treated myself to a banana milkshake , and I did some exercises, and kept busy doing something.(the medicine makes me do that where I can't sit down for long) So I'll check in to see if anyone else joined or talk to the challengers that joined already, and talk to ya'll soon...Ang

I just started on phen 3 days ago. And so far so good! I would love to join the challenge as I need to drop some pounds before school starts up again in September. I think this is a great motivational tool and I would love to be a part of it.

hey girlfriends! I wanna join too. I am moving to London on september 6th (yay, i am going to be international!) and I want to lose as much weight as i can before then. Fridays are good weigh in days for me too. So are we going to start a new thread each day and check in?

Huge welcomes to the new joiners!! Been MIA for the last few days; was craz-ay at work on Friday, and then we had a huge party for my 6 year old grandson (his actual birthday is today!!), so we're fixing a fun dinner of wingettes and stuff for today, great for my diet too - it was hot yesterday, and I did a lot of drinking the little Huggies drinks and freeze pops to keep cool - only ate 1/2 piece of the birthday cake. And then Friday, I did a lot of walking in Sam's Club, helping my daughter shop for yesterday's party, so that was great exercise for me to count!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and I'll check back tomorrow!

Welcome to the new challengers and good to see my starting challengers check back in cd and mia. mamimia I can relate my came to so with it being the weekend and that Tom I don't know the litle bit I lost just jumped back on in water weight. I got crazy craving too and I want to keep exercising but I gotta wait a day or soto get back on my grind. Cd I'm glad to see you made good choices over the weekend and didn't give in to that weekness, I would of tore that cake up, and finding exercise is hard on the weekend too. Did your family go to the six flags? That's exercise right there walking around the park! Justkeepswimming, I try to check on everyday and sometimes through oout the day to check on everyone. The thing were gonna like about this challenge is we can do whatever we want. Hey gurl! The walking I did was around Sam's Club, a huge warehouse that sells everything from clothing to household cleaners to their biggest produce, foods, breads, all that kind of stuff, and everything is pretty much sold in bulk -- when planning a party or cookout, that's the place to go to get your hot dog rolls, chips, all that kind of stuff in bulk and at great prices! We're going to Six Flags in August, and the days are just flying by, and you're right, there will be great walking when we go; I can't wait!!

Well I have been on phen for days and I have lost 5 pounds!:) I need to up my exercise and I think I can do really well in the first month. What is the recommended amount of water to drink a day? I have been drinking 2 nalgene water bottles which I believe is a total of 64oz should I be drinking more than that? So far no side effects to report just weightloss. It is nice to finally not be hungry all the time and see some results.

Congrats on your 5 pound loss, way to go!!! :D For drinking the water, it sounds to me like you're drinking a good amount, although some folks drink more, and some folks drink less, but I think you're doing just fine; again, congrats on your loss; keep it up!!

Hi everyone, How's it going? Kinda late checking in, but I'm here. Brewcrew congrats on the 5 lbs good for you! I think your water intake is good. I need to get mine up myself. It's hard for me, thank god it's been hot out and the meds keep me thirsty. Cd we got a sam's here my dad has me take him at least once or twice or month, I got a big family, so I know what you mean about the bulk deals.I can go in circles around that place and walmart it is good exercise for us. 4mamimia thanks for posting,and good job on the eating well and everyone is really hanging in here huh? Well ladies it has been a terible 3 days because of my period and I am so mad because whatever lil bit I had lost came back along with cravings tomorrow I'll hope I'm good and I can do more and get right back on this cause I really wanna do this bad, we all need it for every reason we got and it is so hard, so hopefully I'll get remotivated and jump start my *** back into gear. Welcome Dymples; by the way, luv the way you spell your name!! :) Hello all!! Doing okay today; remembered to take my phen, and the no appetite has kicked right in, thank goodness!! Because yesterday, I did some bad eating, so as long as I take my phen, I'll be okay - just hate swallowing pills, always have, so after getting my vitamin, calcium, all that stuff down, I don't like taking any more, and I take my phen is an hour before lunch (around 12 noon) - it helps to keep my appetite at bay, even into the evening hours. So I'm drinking water like crazy because I'm big-time thirsty, a good thing!! For eating today, so far I've had a low-fat yogurt, some fat-free Pringles chips (twice), a small cup of egg salad, cracked wheat crackers to eat with it, and that's all. I've got a small can of lite mixed fruit for later on, and may have a piece of salmon and spinach for dinner. Think I'll also do some leisurely pedaling on my stationary bike this evening too --
Angchampagne, yes, luv walking around Sam's Club, and we also have a Costco too - and with it being hot on a summer day, it's one of the best places I know to get a good walking workout in an air-conditioned facility, along with getting some great stock-up deals!!

Hey to all my Sista`s from another motha! lol! Well today went really well. My dr. has me on a high protein diet. Man o man.... Im not a big carb eater but after 4 days and NO NO NO carbs :( Well i have been pretty good at eating 6 smaill meals.
Today I had
BREAKFAST-a salad( Baby Spinach,Purple Cabbage, Celery, Cucumber, cilantro And cheddar cheese with thousand island dressing) Those are the only veggies I can have for this 1st week.
SNACK- Watermelon
1/2 -Pill
LUNCH An egg white omlett with spinach, cheese and bacon. With a side of sliced cucumbers tossed in el toritos cesar cilantro dressing
SNACK more watermelon ( I cant have any other fruit No sugar)
DINNER Salad (tuna, cucumber,cheese,thousand dressing)
SNACK - You guessed it. lol WATERMELON
Now if I could only make it to the gym.

Hello ladies, today went ok cept i didn't eat breakfast lunch was some corn chips got starving by dinner and half a steak and cheese sub. I diet better when I'm in the house all day with my diet food (LOL) for exercise I went swimming. I got 2 weeks before I weigh in with the doctor and I gotta have some more pounds off by then. My period seemed to bloat me up, everything that was loose seems to be getting tighter, should I be drinking more water? Dang I go to the bathroom enough as it is..

Hello all! Big-time congrats to you Dymples; keep up the excellent work!! As a matter of fact, I plan to start a low-carb diet, starting tomorrow morning. It's the diet to do, guaranteed weight loss, and I've got some fun things planned for the beginning of August, so I've got a good 2 weeks to stick to this and make it work!! So you won't be doing the low-carb by yourself; I'll be doing it right along with you!!

I am in too....I wanna lose 25 by Sept 1, this is just the thing I need to keep me motivated. I am very competitve so seeing the others weightloss pushes me to stick with it. I have never used Phen before, this is my first experience, I have lost weigh with diet and excercise but not that I am 33 it seems like my metabolism has shut down. Good luck ladies!

im down to 225.5 , im starting to get the "girl you lost weight" comments, i do have to say it feels nice.

I was 33 and around your weight when I first started my meds I lost 55, I wish you the same luck as me and then some!!! and your right the older I get the harder it is to lose weight. 4mamimia, is it the weather or what??? My relationship is getting weird and for no reason, he might think it's a good reason but it's just stupid and too hot for the bullsh@t, feel free to pm me cause I can relate. Them weight comments are lovely aren't they? For weigh in today I was the same, but I did good today and I'm waiting for these clothes to get loose again, no stopping! Today for exercise I cleaned my house like 4 times and mowed my lawn it is a big one. When I get off here I'm gonna do some crunches. I drank alot of water, so maybe that will help. Congrats to all on their loss and much luck or everybody, we gonna slam this stuff out!!!!!

Okay last night I got off work hecka late and headed to the gym for my normal 2 hour of cardio. By the time I left it was 10 o'clock and there was nothing open except Taco Hell, I ordered a taco salad no beans no salsa (i'm low carbing) , I dumped the shell and ate it, I was dead sleep. Today I felt all bloated when I woke up and I had mad heartburn. Are there any low carb heart burn remedies. Oh yea, and when should I become concerned that I have not taken the the "Browns" to the "Super Bowl" (trying not to be tooo gross) its been 3 days now.

thanks angchampagne, I dont know what it is. Things have calmed down now but still some hurtful things were said. Yea the weight comments feel great. I think im starting to see it too. I was down to 224 this am but I had fried chicken for lunch and am afraid that may have made me gain a pound.

(BELIEVE ME THIS HAS BEEN A TASK FOR ME) ALSO TAKE THE TIME TO EAT IN THE MORNING A GOOD BREAKFAST. I LITERALY HAD TO FORCE MYSELF ALL THIS WEEK TO SIT MY BEHIND DOWN AND EAT MY FOOD AT A SLOW PACE. IM USUALLY SO PROGRAMED TO GET UP, GET DRESS, AND LEAVE OUT FOR WORK THAT I WOULD MAKE NO TIME FOR A BREAKFAST. TURN YOUR MEAL PLANNING INTO AN ADVENTURE RATHER THAN A CHORE. SELECT A LIST OF FOODS THAT YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD EAT. THEN CREATE SEVERALS WAYS TO PREPARE THEM. THEN GO TO THE GROCERY STORE AND GET YOUR INGREDIENTS. GET YOUSELF SEVERAL PLASTIC CONTAINERS AND THE NIGHT BEFORE WORK ..GET YOUR MEALS TOGETHER. PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE SO THAN WHEN U GET READY TO LEAVE THE HOUSE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PULL IT OUT THE FRIDGE AND LEAVE. YOU WILL SAVE MONEY! FEEL GREAT BECAUSE YOU ATE WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO! Dymples- that makes soo much sense. Every time I ate out this week wich was 2x, it was because i didnt have anything fixed and i was rushing out the door.
I rarely eat breakfast anymore for hte same reason. Im always almost late going to work. I bought nutra grain bars and had one this am.

Thanks for the info 4mami_mia, as far as my cardio work out I do one hour in the morning on the elliptical and one hour after work. I started off on level one and as it got easier I increased the intensity. Its the hardest mess I have ever committed to (well besides marriage) but I am tired of living in this body that does not represent my spirit and my love of life, so I push myself and I figure if I do that much cardio there is no darn way I will mess it up by eating something crazy, and if I do.....I work out enough to not gain if I screw up...lol....so its a win-win situation. We have to just stick together, we all have the same goal and we all have experience in doing this weightloss thing....if we put all of it together we can achieve the goals we have set. So no secret diets or shots or tricks that we dont share, lets just put it all out there and see what happens. My will power was on today...I went to the movies and didnt get any popcorn or soda....Can you believe it, I used to live on popcorn. But back to the point, WE CAN DO THIS LADIES!!!!!;)

I forgot to weigh in and check in on Friday. OOPS! I hopped on the scale this morning and it says I am down another 5 pounds!! Putting me at 210lbs. I have been on phen for a little over a week now so I am considering the 10lbs I have lost to be a good starting point. I still need to work on waking up and hitting the gym. I read that a couple of people are hitting the gym for 2-a-days, I think that sounds like a pretty good idea. I went for a 12 mile bike ride this afternoon with my family and that was a really good workout :) I have also read on here about people taking vitamin B supplements, just wondering if anyone in this challenge has taken them and/or would recommend them. I was considering either the B-12 tablets or the super B complex, any input would be great.
Everyone is doing such a wonderful job!!!! Keep up the excellent work so we can all be "slammin" by the end of the summer!!!:D

I did b12 shots years ago and I had more energy but I cant attach how much more it made me loose. I have thought about doing it but decided to wait until I get closer to my goal weight and use the b12 when the weight gets harder to get off. Sort of an ace in the hole.

Dont be down on your self girlie, just pick yourself and start over tomorrow. We all have our days, just stay active. Do the no carbs diet, I promise you will drop weight fast the first week. You can do this! When I started my diet I cleaned house all junk had to go...my hubby and kids were pist, but who cares...lol. I replaced it with healthy things like fruit and veggies. Then I stocked up on my low carb crap and it has made it easier this time around.

Thanks ladies, I think I did ok today. I will try that info on the carbs diet and we'll see how that goes. I don't wanna be on this medicine forever and I don't wanna have to get the lap band surgery either. I don't feel bad though cause some of my pants and shorts are starting to feel loose again, so even though I haven't seen numbers drop off the scale I think I am building muscle and losing inches probably.

i found this challenge for a walking routine called
Learn To Run/Jog Challenge
basically if you
* want to lose weight
* tone up
* improve their general health
* kick their fitness up a notch
Learning how to run can sometimes seems daunting because people try to run too fast and/or for too long when they first get out there. They get put off easily and don't want to get back out there. However, for this challenge, you will only run 3-4 times a week for roughly 30 mins each session. The challenge lasts for 9 weeks and by the end of it, we should be able to run 5k (3.1 miles) in about 30 mins.
The weekly plan is below:
*start each session with a 5 min warm-up walk*
Week 1: alternate jogging/running for 1 min, walk for 2 mins. do this for a total of 30 mins.
Week 2: jog/run 1.5 mins, walk for 2 mins.
Week 3: jog/run 2.5 mins, walk 2 mins,
Week 4: jog/run 5 mins, walk 1.5 mins
Week 5: jog/run 7 mins, walk 1.5 mins
Week 6: jog/run 9 mins, walk 1 mins
Week 7: jog/run 12 mins, walk 30 secs
Week 8: jog/run 15 mins, walk 30 secs
Week 9: jog/run 30 mins with no breaks
*Another way you could do this is to find a distance that's 5k and do the above plan until you complete the 5k - eventually you should be able to run it without stopping in about 30 mins*
If you aim for 4x per week, then you'll be able to build up more easily to the increase in running time for the following week.
It's perfectly all right to repeat a week if you feel you have to. not everybody will be at the same level; some may even want to run for longer than what is states. The plan is do-able though,

Hello all! Took a mini-vacation over the past weekend, so that's why you haven't seen me, but I am pleased to say that even while on vacation, I continued to stick to my low-carb diet, and the scales are showing very favorably, weighed in this morning at 210!! One of the reasons I love low-carb so much is because I can eat until full, and don't have to depend on phen to cut my appetite (taking a break from phen, stopped as of last Saturday, which is when I started my low carb diet) -- so I'm about to go click on that link that I saw in Dymples' post; for me, it's the perfect jump-start for successful weight loss!!
Hope everyone is drinking lots of water today; there will never be another day like today, so let's make it a great one!! TTYL!! :D

Whew Mami_mia, just reading that made me tired...lol...I hate running as much as I hate dieting! But I know that it works. My hubby had me running last year and I lost 40 pounds in 3 months and barely had to do any toning. I lifted light free weights for arms and that was about it. I just cant get back into that mode for whatever reason. Let me know how it goes, I may jump my lazy butt on board :)

I love that carb eating and runnin schedule, that sounds like it will do the trick. I didn't take my meds today becasue yesterday my chest was hurting. I don't know if it was from the phen or the lasagna, But I decided to give my body a break, and get checked by my doctor cause it really scared me.when all is good I really want to do the running, or at least walk real fast!!Keep it up ladies, it looks as if everyone is doing so good!

hi ladies, i understand being skeptical about the running but I started out with the fast walking then slow jog, and now i can run even at 224 lbs!
I guess the whole concept is to challenge yourself. `a minute is not long at all, believe me/ but if its too long then try for 1/2 min then build yourself up from there.
I keep telling myself if a dog was after me I would run like hell sooo thats the pidture i have in my head
well today my eating has been bad. and i didnt exercise unless you count work. I have not been able to follow the diet plan because i dont think anything that requires alot of thought will work for me.
I was doing better just watching what i ate and exercising

Hey ladies, I weighed in today and I lost 5 lbs since I started Phen....I dont know why I expected to loose 10 or more. I dont feel that I am loosing inches even with my 2 a day work out sched. But I think that I should be happy with my 5 and keep on doing what I am doing. I have a family reunion coming up and I am so not prepared to hear "guuurrrrrlll you blew up".....lol so i'm sticking to the grind....but DAMN I want some Mc Donalds french fries!

i hear you can exercise too much, if you are low carbing and exercising 2x you may be burning so many calories that your losing muscle not fat,
or you can be gaining muscle(good thing) from the workouts

Hello all, and welcome Fashay!! :) That's so true, 4mami - in doing low carb, I have done things like helping hubby cut the grass, trim the hedges, took several water aerobic classes, did my stationary bike, things like that. It's the fat we want to get rid of, not muscle, so excellent advice!!
I'm please to report that I've lost a bit more, I'm now at 209, so that's a total of 6 pounds!! My house is stocked with low-carb items, and even though some of the dishes I've been fixing meals for my family contain high carbs, I have stayed away from them, either that or taste about 1/2 fork of the dish, and that's all. Hope everyone is staying on course and will continue, even through the weekend; we can do this!! :D

Hello ladies,
I have been mia for a while. Work was stressing me out and to top it off I`ve been suffering from intense dry mouth and a slight nasal congestion. Bad combination. Because the dry mouth was so intense I was drimking two of the 2.2 liter bottles of water a day. So I went to my weight Dr. and she told me not stop taking the phen for the weekend. I dont know if my weigh in was accurate since my water intake was crazy...but it read -2lbs. 187lbs. I will see her on monday and weigh in again. I`ve also started the gym again. im sure that will affect my weight. I wil probably gain than lose. O well ! I hope everyone is doing great! See you guys on monday for a fresh post!

Hello all! Doing great, had 6 good days of low-carb dieting (with no phen), so on this Sunday, I'm eating what I want (within reason) and will take a phen just to keep my carb eating in check, and plan to go back to my low carb on tomorrow -- have been eating things like cream cheese, salads, tuna fish salad w/cucumbers, steamed crabs, lots of water, low carb/low sugar yogurt, things like that. Happy Sunday to all!!

What I do concerning lunch is that I gather/assemble my meal the night before; I put everything I'm taking in a corner on the top shelf of the frig; for example, last night, I fixed my salad, and put the turkey slices in a sandwich bag (to heat up and sprinkle over the lettuce at lunchtime), 1/2 cucumber slices in a sandwich bag, my low-fat/low carb yogurt, sugar-free pudding, and cheese stick -- I put it all together in the corner of the frig. I bought a lunch bag w/freezer square, so in the morning, I grab everything and throw it all in my bag, then I'm out the door!! Food here in DC is expensive anyway, so not only am I able to stick to my diet, but I'm saving money too! Give it a try, and let me know if it works for you too! :)

okay, my weekend ****ed...it started with a 6 oz weight gain (which I felt may haave been from no bowel movement in a 4 or 5 days) I had a cheesburger happy meal and cold fries with a kids choco milk, I only had half the fries but any one who has done the low carb thing knows that after you cheat the cravings for sugar take over. Sunday, I was going to start over on my carb thingy and I put chicken on the grill and made a salad. My teen daughter had some friends over so I made baked beans for them to go with the chicken, and I didnt skimp on the brown sugar or maple syrup that I made the beans with either. They smelled so good, I had to have one spponful.....that turned into a small bowl full.....which turned into 2 bowl fulls. Grrrr, now I dont want to get on the scale, the good news is I still did manage to work out on Saturday and Sunday I did a little walking.

OMG!! 4 mamimia I only got like 6 or 7 pills left and my doc said he gonna cut me off if I don't drop some more than last month(2 lbs!!) Ok we gotta do it!!! Mondays are good 4 me cause I always get remotivated for some reason must be the beginning of the week thing. Weekends are ****y for me cause I eat alot of things, that I know I shouldn't even touch. Hey CD! Good job on the carb thing I hope it works out good, you know u got your trip coming up girl!!! Well my eating was pretty good today, I did my morning cardio and I am on my way to my night cardio. I had a few too many sunflower seeds but that was about it. I drank my 64 oz of water (so far). Hope everyone is back on track!

Well, for me, back in November, my doctor started me out with the 30 mg, but I was getting dizzy and stuff, so she lowered the dosage to the the 15 mg, and at that time, it worked pretty good for me. But then that started to get weak, not working as well, so I told her that. And I also told her that there were times when I was taking a 15 mg in the morning, and then another 15 in the late afternoon. So she upped it back to the 30 mg capsule, which is what I take now.

I want to join the challenge of losing 10 pounds by September 1st but this thread is long and I feel like if I go month on the thread title its easier for me but I will see how it goes. But my goal is 10 pounds by September 1st (Ihope). It is a little discouraging though when you see someone has been on the phen for 8 months and only lost 50 pounds. I mean its allot but its only 6 pounds a month. I know that stil 6 pounds a month but still seems like one could lose that without phen. Right?

Well, I got good news on Friday...te Dr upped my dose to 30mg. I felt more energy this weekend but we will see how it goes by next weigh in. The scale didnt move for me this Friday, I was still 233.86. Good luck this week ladies!

Hey ladies, I know that I am not supposed to be weihing in till Friday....but I am a weighaholic (is that a word lol) anyway I lost 2.2 since Friday! I am so excited I want to eat some fries...no just kidding. I had been in a rut because I had not lost any weight or inches so this is somewhat a breakthrough for me! YAY! I started taking CLA on Saturday and the woman at the store told me to take 4 instead of the usual three, she says that the 3 pills work well for men but not so much for the ladies. I dont know if it was the CLA or me sticking to my diet guns....what eva it was yay me!

I must report that I enjoyed my eating as well, and have probably picked up a few pounds, but today, I'm right back on track, eating right and drinking lots of water, so here's to a weight loss by the end of the week when I go to Six Flags!! :) Ate my lunch just now (LC meal), and will wait about 1/2 hour or so, and then take my phen -- I need to take it later than in the morning, because my urge to munch is so strong in the evening -- fortunately, it has never interrupted my sleep like it has for others, so gotta do this thang!! Hey guys....welcome back CD Creations! You guys are never going to believe this!!! I told yall already that I am a weighaholic, right? anywho, I got on the scale this morning (after weighing in on Friday 0 loss and, on Monday -2.2 ) and today I was down 3.5 OMG I am freakin hysterical right now....lol!!! so since official weigh in Friday 8/1 I have lost 5.7 pds OMG! Its a miraclae, or is Phen, or CLA, or low carbing, or 2 a day workouts....wut ever it is yay me again!!!!

I also welcome the newcomers; glad to have you aboard!! :) Well, was hoping for a good weight loss to be able to buy a new bathing suit for tomorrow's trip to Six Flags, but will be bringing my regular one, but I'm okay with that -- There will be plenty of walking, so I'll definitely be getting my exercise in, just gotta stay away from the food shops, or at least, eat smaller portions. Hello Ladies, Sorry I have been MIA, Everyone seems to be doing good though, and hello to our new members. I had to go to the Emergency room yesterday, because I was cleaning, and painting and I got real dizzy. My heart was beatiing fast and I couldn't catch my breathe right. I had sharp pains in my chest and I though I was gonna pass out. They said I was hyperventilating from the paint fumes.They ran EKG and took my blood and X-rays, all they said were good. I don't believe them I think I'm having some serious side effect from being on this medicine for so long. I am going to my doctor's tomorrow and having him run some more tests. I have had tightness pains before and my heart beating a little fast but not like this. I am still gonna be in the challenge but I'm not taking the medicine anymore, because I have never been that scared before. I just wanted to share that with ya'll and ask has anyone else had any of these problems?? I know a few of us haave been on longer than others, let me know..In the meantime, Ladies do ya thang!!

i know i just checked in on tuesday when i started but since its friday and thats the rules i will weigh in :) well i forgot to put my weight on tuesday just my loss so Tuesday i was 184.2 which was 22.4 weight loss so far today i weighed in at 182.2 which is 24.4 . GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :)

I carbed up on Thursday of last week (I didnt go crazy, I stuck to water but I had toast for breakfast, half a sammy for lunch and a small peice of Lasagna for dinner with a plain salad) then carbed down since Friday and I lost a total of 5.72 pounds this week, I carbed up yesterday and my weight was the same today so I dont know if it worked for me again. I also started taking CLA on Saturday so that may have played a part in the weight loss. Let me know how your cycling goes

I weighed for the first time last Monday after being on pills for a week and I had lost 6.5 pounds the first week. I go in on Mondays for my shot but decided to do the B12 pills they have so I wont get to weigh till my month check in. My goal was 10 pounds by September 1st. I am going to make it...I think!
I dont know where I lost it. I know my clothes are getting looser but cant I wear 16 and cant fit in my 14s in a box in the closet yet. That will feel good when I do.

Hello everyone. Its been sometime since Ive been posting but I have been reading your post from my email. I am very happy for all of you who have lost some weight. I was MIA for a while because I was sick. The phentermine was making me way to thirsty so I had decided to stop taking it for a while. I have been able to loose 2 more lbs on my own. So Im happy. But I have decided to start the phentermine once more.
Angchampagne I hope you feel better. I will admit when I started taking a whole pill for the first time..my heart was racing fast. and the thirst was unbearable. BUt Im good now. I think it is best that you see your doctor. I dont know how long you have been on phen but like anything else...too much of anything isnt good. So take care of your self my phen sista. Well I'm back from my mini-vacation, and while I did good with walking and drinking water, my eating was not the best, but I also hadn't taken my phen either while away - Sorry to hear about you Ang, gurl, feel better soon!! I also had the rapid heartbeat, and have taken breaks where I could to help my body adjust. I plan to take a phen today, and this will be my first one in the past two weeks! Gotta get my appetite under control, so I can show some weight loss numbers, and I definitely plan to do my stationary bike today, no excuses!!!! I am too scared to carb up for more than a couple days because I have a tendency of getting carried away...lol. I bought the biggest loser fitness book and it had some good exercise tips, So I am going to combine everything and see if I can get to 211 by 9/1. Has anyone had any luck with B12 shots?

Off the subject....I have read so many threads on constipation and what to, I have tried dieters tea (too much cramping) I tried the magnesium (on the toilet 2 days *tmi*) and I have tried Epsom salt (one word....GROSS) I said all that to see what you guys do. The Phen + Low carbs have me backed up a few days. so what do you guys do? I read in one of the threads that Senna or Sienna are bad for you and most of the teas and laxatives have senna. Help me out ladies!

Hello ladies,I'm doing alright on my own and It'z baby I'm still here,thank u. u know I had to relax for a min but I'm still good.As for the constipation, I don't know how your body is, but when I drink coffee in the morning, I go straight to the bathroom, also once in awhile that glucumannon the night before, gets me straight the next day. I know the med does constipate u and I was losing weight and I never understood where my food would go?(lol) Welcome to the new comers..Wow!! This does end in a few weeks.What is the new challenge going to be and whose gonna pop it off? For this week starting Monday, I want everyone to try to do at least 45 of any walking or exercise of their choice and get at least get 64 oz of water down, everyday, if you don't have time and your sitting here reading, stop and.. go grab some water and finish reading(LOL) then get up and do something,, How about it??Good luck and Sorry I missed my phen sisters, lets do this!!

Mamimia, I went crazy this weekend....lol it was B Day on Friday and I partied the whole weekend eating crap I should not have. The damage is 8 pds (WTF) hopefully its mostly water, since I drank NONE all weekend LOL (laughing on the outside....pist on the inside). I was so, so bad the past couple of weeks, not taking my phen, eating bad foods all day long, but that is now all behind me - I started afresh and anew this morning, drinking lots of water, took my phen, ate small portions today, and even did my exercise bike this evening (had to dust the cobwebs off of it first!!) I have had to do the samething on a hill that everyone in the neighborhood walks and runs up and down backwards and forward and then here come my butt, I couldnt even make it halfway before my calfs were burning and my "asthma" kicked in lol. Okay, so I am going off the phen for a week or so because Monday and Tuesday I had a major headache (migraine) and some heart palputations. I skipped Sat and Sun because my B day. I am thinking maybe I should take a little break from Phen. What do you guys think, Im a little nervous that I might start gaining. Has anyone had any of these adverse side effects? I know Ang had the racing heart, and this was more like a double beat and then back to normal,.....I need advice

Hello all! 4mami, I do believe that it is the walking that is working for you big-time; in fact, I went walking at lunchtime both yesterday and also today, and I'm feeling pretty good on the inside! They say that walking is one of the earliest forms of exercise, and that it is also one of the most effective forms of exercise too, so let's keep it up! :)
ItzBabyPhat, I was off of phen for the last 2-3 weeks, by my own choice. I was going through a journey of wanting to eat as much bad food as I could, and I was so out of control that I didn't even want to take my phen to curb my appetite! But today is day 3 of getting back on track and taking my phen, and it has kicked back in strongly; the only thing I have noticed is that I'm more tired and sluggish during the day than when I first took phen last year in November; go figure!
Big hellos to Angchampagne and everyone else!! In addition to walking, drinking water is a major part of weight loss, so let's be sure to keep lots of water nearby and drink as much of it as possible during the day; have some great zzzzz's tonight, and I'll TTYL!!

dont get discouraged itsbaby, its just sodium and water weight trust me I know. Do a good workout today you dont have to take all the carbs out but stop eating them after lunch and the weight will go back down in a couple of days. I havent really started yet, I have to go shopping tomorrow. But I have been following the basic concept. and not eating carbs after 3p. I had mcdees yesterday and still no change in weight. But I know I cant do that everday. I iwll be starting tomorrow thought.

Hello ladies, it looks like ya'll doing good, itzbabyphat, I had the heart papilations too, it was scary as hell !!! all my tests show that I did not have a heart attack, but I know something was wrong and still not even on meds if I doo too much my chest gets all tigh and my heart starts beating crazy.I gotta wear this like portable ekg thing tomorrow, I wore it the other day and I guess it shut off, so I gotta do it again to get a good reading. The thing is aggrivating and I can't shower or get it wet. I gotta wear it for 24 hours. How long have you been on the medicine? The hunger is crazy, I miss phen for the appetite control, but I think I was on for so long I became immune to it after awhile anyway. I ate alot too, I don't even wanna weigh myself cause I don't wanna know. All I can say is try to eat right and get exercise is where you can that thing you and mami mia are doing sounds good. the next thing you know them lbs will be gone. A big hello to you to CD creations I know you miss me girl!!! We only have 1 week left and I wish all of you the bust of luck to knock it out as best as you can!! talk to ya soon,.. Angie

Hi Ang, you did an excellent challenge, and my final weight is 210! I PM'd mami; let us be sure to keep her in our thoughts, and pray for her safety in evacuating New Orleans ... I will not be able to host a challenge at the present time (a lot going on here at home), but will continue to do good and will visit the forum from time to time when I get a chance; take care!

Mami Mia- girrrrllllll, I was so worried about you and your fam! I am happy you guys made it out! That being said....I think you would be a great thread leader! I understand if that is not possible because of you situation, and Ang....there is no rules saying you cant lead another challenge, come on girl lets finish this year off right (while I shove a french fry in my mouth...lol). I am still down after the holiday but some stress caused me to want to break today!

Itz baby you crazy! I think I gained more too, I'm not upset though, cause I always got that surgery to fall back on (LOL) just kidding, I really don't want to get the surgery, I want that to be a last resort. I though you were gonna start it Baby cause you had the name picked put and everything. It's hard for me, cause I'm not on the medicine no more and sometimes I feel like I need it like a crackhead searching for some dope LMAO!! Cd you are gonna still check in from time to time right??? I'm gonna miss ya!!! Where's mommy2belle? 4mamimia I heard it was getting bad, so I am glad that you got out of there, and honored that you came here to give us a shout out and let us know you were straight. Thank God!!!! And I want to thank all of you ladies in here for joining and supporting one another it was fun and great, and I hope we meet again!!!
