View Full Version : First follow up doctors appointment

I started taking phen on 3/12/08 with a start weight of 170lbs. Well i go for my first check up with the doctor today which is 4 weeks later and I have only lost 10 pounds. I am a little afraid that the doctor might not think that is good progress. Can anyone tell me about their first follow up appointments with the doctor. He set my weight goal for me which is 140- a healthy weight for my height 5'4 and i am just afraid that he wont prescribe me anymore. Also for the last week i have been at a stand still with my weight, i am still excersicing and forcing myself to eat (healthy of course) and i dont understand why i havent lost the weight. Someone please ease my mind..:confused:

Your not alone. I started mine on 4/29 and only lost 11 pounds. Some people lose that very quick. Which I am out of mine right now gotta go next week to get more but it is nerve wracking. When I do eat it is healthy and I exercise my tail off.

Since I started, I've only lost 17 lbs. and I started on 2/15/08. My doctor has me taking it 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. And then I only take it during the week only. I don't take it on Sat. or Sun. I don't drink as much water as I used to in the beginning so that could also be why I'm not losing as much. I do try to exercise daily during the week.

i was trying to fig. it out also...
like you Tx Lady i got the script on the 15th but started on the 16th as of june 4th 2008 i have lost 22.4 pounds but, i was a HUGE! ( i can't say it enough) pop-aholic! and i had a pop everyday or so it seemed and a bit to much MacDon. for lunch/dinners out of conv. *my work schedule can be crazy and it would just be easy!*
any ways.. i cut pop out and the first week was HELL now i can say i don't even care for the taste. when i want a break from water i get a juice i like and well.. i don't know about everyone else but i HATE real sugary things so i would put very little jucie and the rest water (for taste) lemon, the little white and red mints, and last the orange flav. crystal light (it's the only one that I THINK doesn't taste like sugar free koolaide type drink)
i also cut anything fried out! i'm no pro. at calories and carbs (although i'm reading more and learning) i just did the no brainer part and cut them out
i also don't take mine on the weekends BUT!!! have been at 260-261 for five days and so far have done nothing diffrent
so i'm right there with ya! lol.. it's crazY! :mad:

10lbs in one month is great. I know that we all want to shed our excess weight overnight, but the truth of the matter is it takes time. Last month, I think I lost 8lbs. I am o.k. with that, because I know that is still better than where I was. Take a good look in the mirror and be proud of what you have accomplished. I am giving you a BIG thumbs up, for a job well done. :)

I agree with insearchofme! That's wisdom
