Heyy everyone! This challenge is for whoever wants to join and will last from May 1-May31.. this is how we're gonna do it..

This challenge is going to be split up into 3 sections

MAY 1-MAY10 =total 4 pound weight loss or more
May 11- May 20= total 8 pound weight loss or more
May 21-May 31= total 12 pound weight loss or more

RULES
* Cardio 3-5 times a week for atleast 30 mins
*Weigh In ONCE A WEEK
*Drink half your body weight in water
*Check in atleast Once a week
*HAVE FUN!

-if you want to join then pm me your starting weight.... please :D

This weeks challenge is going to go the full 10 days without cheating! So who all is in?

WE WILL WEIGH EVERY THURSDAY

you weight 211... so in ounces you would drink 105.5 oz a day. if you drink the 16.9 oz of water that would be 6.24 bottles of water

Its me Suz!!! I'm currently 182 as of yesterday. I'm still not sure what half my body weight is... :( I'm slow like that. If I calculated right, half my weight is 91. So then 16.9/91 = 5.38. So that is 5 bottles of water plus some???

Please let me know if it is tooooo late for me.

chiquita yepp thats exactly right!!! 5 bottles of water and then a little more is half of your body weight in water...

Glad to be on board!!! I did exercise last night. I completely missed your May Shake down announcement. I do not know how meaning how I have been on an off this thing for days now... tahehhee. Okay...This is my plan y'all....

resistance work (at home for now). _3 time a week
2 litres water a day
Colonix colon cleanse
4 Jazzercise classes
elliptical every day
1/2 adipex every day, take a day's break once a week.

Okay , that's it folks. T his is my last month of phen, so I have to get to goal this month and i need y'all to help me do it!

I'm so glad to see that our group is growing. I'm looking forward to our first weigh in. I will be away from my computer from May 6th until the evening of May 10th. I'll do my weight on Sunday morning and then post.
Well since I am awake I better get an early start on my water.

Thank you Ms Libby for getting this started. Wow@all the hot mamas here. My starting weight this morning is 206.5. I started back on phen 2 days ago and i so need to do this thing. My goal for the Month is 10lbs, any thing more will just be FANTASTIC.

myself, i am having a hard time with the no cheating (TOM CAME A WEEK EARLY AND CAUGHT ME BY SURPRISE) but I still havent cheated yet :)

Hey Chechas and Trauma..my girls are IN..woot woot.....

Okay so I"m confused. When is our next week in? Just gotta prepare myself and write this down on teh calendar.

I did an hour of Jazzercise today...I'll be doing resistance work on my bootay later on tonight...my house is a catastrophe so I'll be getting a workout cleaning it up too....(that counts, right?).

I am going to get that water down today by hook or by crook...

lol congrats i cant wait to get there. I think im spending too much time on phen.com because Libby my tmo just popped up too!
with that said im down another 1/2 pound this morning. (im not planning to weigh everyday, im just trying to see what makes me loose and gain)
so far exercise, eating regularly and a bowel movement everyday made me lose 1 lb everday this week since the 30th except today where i lost .5 lb

depressing thing is my bday is tomorrow and i wanted to be 20lbs less, but because i havent been doing everything i should thats not going ot happen

I feel absolutely gggggggggreat!!! I can't wait till Friday to weigh in. I know I can't stay away from the scale now. But I am sooo going to have to try my best to stay away from the darn thing!!! I snuck a peek because I just had too!!! the scale says 181.6. Yippeeee

Wait a sec... where did Thursday weigh in come from? I thought we weigh on the 10th, 20, and the 31. If we weigh on the Thursday, that doesnt give us a full 10 days.

tmo is kicking my but right now. i havent gained weight lost .1/2 pound but im cramping so bad. Still struggleing to get all the water in but im working on it. eating was okay, no craving for sweets yet.

man.. tom kicked my but this weekend! i went out last night n ate waffle house this morning at like 2. so i weighted and im deff up 2 pounds... DAMN THIS TOM!

I am SO BLOATED today, my gut is huge and my weight is WAY UP..I hope its bloat and not fat! I think the cleanse is going to make me more bloated before it does any good.....oh well...gonna keep on keepin on

i want to way every thursday, then we can tally it up on the 10th. Im not going to lie i cant wait until the 10th to know my weight.
My dr says its good to weight every day at first then every few days, so you will not how certain foods effect you. Thats how i know exercising and reg bowel movements and eating frequent made me lose weight everyday. I didnt workout yesterday and didnt have a bowel movement and had sonics and this am i was up a pound. So i know i probably need to do all 3.

Scat go to a healthfood store and get some ginger tea or applecider vinegar or a stool softener to losen things up a bit. its said cinnamon or ginger stimulate the bowels so that can help, if you want i can give you the cinnamon treatment recipe. its not that bad

Hey all..

it is going to be a beautiful day here today...so I hope NOT to be online......(but i y'all know that I will be...LOL)...

I drank my cleanse tea last nigth thinking that I would explode this morning..NOTHING...I am really getting aggravated. I'm toying with the idea of stopping phen for a whilel, I don't feel like it is doing anything, especially now that I'm having this bloating problem. What I'm afraid of is being really tired and not able to workout to max. capacity or teach my fitness classes. It takes a while to recover from being on phen.....but I am skipping today and we'll see what happens.....

I'm going to try and do low carb today....but with fruit.....

well time to drink my nasty fiber.........I'm surrpised I can get this stuff down in the morning without hurling.

hey all...i have actually been doing fairly well with the exercising and the no cheating...not so well with the water but that's ok...i know i need to do better with that! i like the thurs or fri weigh in, i don't work traditional work weeks so it doesn't matter to me.

i am gonna tell ya'll right now...i am prob gonna have my cheat day today-and i bet a bunch of us do with it being cinco de mayo baby!!! but i am really going to chuck e cheese cause i promised the kids a while ago but it is too busy on the w/e so since we homeschool we were thinking of going during the day today. so that is prob all i will eat today...other than a zone bar that i ate at like 0300 at work. and i will get in my exercise today u bet! and i am hoping that althou i am cheating before the 10th, at least it is early in the week away from weigh in day! so hopefully i can do something esp about all that water wt that is gonna come.

scat-the bloat and the extra wt comes hand in hand with the dr n. don't freak. i didn't have miraculous results like what people said online...maybe that is why i wasn't so all over it to send it to u?? i don't know!!! but i do feel bad about it!!!! wow, u have bad urself a major goal for the end of the month! u are my hero! i haven't made a new goal yet, but i need to for this challenge....well, 3 more weeks left, so maybe i am just gonna do a pound a week which is a major goal for me...so maybe 133?? i couldn't even imagine it.....

I'll be doing good if anything comes off this first week weigh in,,,,, I ended up in the ER last night I couldn't breathe and the Dr there told me that I have bronchitis.. and I have to slow down tills I get over this crap.....I AM SO LIVID right now.....
I need to work out or I feel like crap.....
He prescribed Levaquin for me and another inhaler, One good thing he said that it was the phen it just me being hard headed! LOL And he said that I'll be ok taking this stuff with my Phen....

dcindy-good luck on the getting better!!! and as long as u are feeling fairly well, and breathing ok, u can still walk after all! be careful with ur food choices girl....one-derland is so close for u!!

Cindy, don't worry about working out right now...you need to rest and if your body doesn't get rest you will NOT get over the bronchitis. I can tell you that from experience..

Trauma, I finally went and feel so much better! I don't know what you mean by miraculous results from the dr natura, but if I keep going like I did this morning I'll be very happy. I'm not looking to pass a volvo tire like those stupid people on the website but I definitely feel "lighter" today....and can really see how this could be related to weight loss since your digestion just works better when everything is moving along the way it is supposed to....

I'm debating whether or not to stay on phen. Obviously it isn't working for me.....I think that maybe I"ve been on it for too long and I need to take a break from it.....but is now a good time to go off of it? Especially since my weight is HIGH....

Off to run my errands.

hey guys i suprised myself last night, i had loaded mash potatoes, a steak and a salad. I only ate a few forks of the mashpototes!. i ended up throwing them away! i baked a cake, but i havent had anyyet. I wanted a cake but now i have no taste for sometihg weet. well im going to get somethings around the house down. Ill talk to you guys later.

GIRL, it's interupting my work time! One of my clients asked me if I was pregnant because I went pee 3 times in an hour session. :rolleyes: I hope I have lost 5 pounds this week in water weight alone. LOL!

NO, you will NOT get bulky. You have no clue the amount of lifting and the type of eating required to get bulky. i am very lean and dont build up muscle easily, I WISH I could get bulky......

man... tom and cinco de mayo just screwed me all up LOL... im already up 2 pounds.. by tomorrow ill prob be up 4. seems like im goin the wrong way on the scale LOL

on the flip side the chicken n cheese and starwberry margeritas were superb :D

Well I haven't slowed down none on my water intake, I have been havein to practice a lot of restraint because I had to get off my phen so that this anitbiatic could work, one good thing maybe doing that it will jump start this weight loss again.......
I tried walking on my treadmill last night and it nearly killed me so to speak... I got winded real bad.....My hubby the jerk(gotta love him) got onto me about doing it.....
But every body seems to be doing great, and good look....
My colonix should be in today or in the morning , and as soon as I am able I am gonna start that,,,,
I had to take some miralax last night, I am so bloated it isn't funny......

Okay girl, you had your waffle house the other night and your cinco de mayo festivities last night...nip it in the bud before I drive down there and you catch a butt whooping..for real...LOL......that two lbs is just bloat girl, just get back on the wagon....here's my hand, I'll pull you up........

I'm getting back into the groove. I think the sunnier weather and warmer weather is helping. I can't wait to weigh in on Thursday because I really think that I am going to have a loss..even if it is a small one that will be nice to see since I gained in April.

Going to plant flowers today..woot woot....I wonder how many calories gardening burns...doesn't really matter, it just feels good to be out there and for it to be over 70 degrees like they say it is going to be. I waited WAY too long for warmer weather.

Libby I love your avatar..you are so pretty it ain't even funny...stop showin' off hoochie...

have a good day everybody....I have to make sure I get my workout in today, today is resistance training day an I'm focuing on the bootay....my apple bottom has turned into apple SAUCE....bleh.....

cindy just try siting down and doing bicep curls with dumbells and leg raises. LEave the cardio alone until u get better.

libby, girl get back on track i was there last week with my 2lb gain and about 2 days of getting on track i lost that and plus. So get on your gain because its probably just sodium and water.

scat the leg machines i did almost killed me, i think i want to do abs and upper body today.
i want to do alot of cardio though the scale hasnt moved so i need to kick it up a notch

No more water!!!:( I was doing really good drinking water and now I am NEVER thirsty. I worked out last night and kept drinking water during my workout to get it all in and I got off the treadmill and it all came BACK UP!!! I was throwing up TONS of water! I was pissed! :mad: So, I did not get 105 oz of water in yesterday because 80 oz came back up...the wrong way! UGH!

lovin me.. your not supposed to chug water while you work out lol. youre supposed to drink it during the day. if you cant get it all down do as much as you can. try for atleast 64 oz to start with and just work your way up

OK, I'm in...a bit late but in anyway. This just may be what I need since within the last week I too have gained FOUR pounds!!!! I need accountability and the boards are a good place for that.

I need to adjust my signature line and start fresh. Thanks for putting this together :)

Just checking in, I have kept up with my water it helps with this anibiotic I am on...I go to the doc in the mornig for weigh in and meaurements soo I guess I will know whats working if anything....

doing great with the water drinking
staying within my calorie limit
NOT working out like i should(walking and floor exercies but not working up a sweat)
went roller skating for 2hrs on saturday(sweated like a pig)
adipex is making my ankles hurt

hi everyone, im soo mad right now, i was having a good day and went to the gym and did 15 min on the treadmill and 15 on the ellipt burned about 300 cals, then i got on the machines and did some strength training, no telling how much i burned with that. I left the kids with hubby i was suppose to be gone for an hour but had to wait about an 1 hr and i/2 for hubby's sister to get home. We all get trained together
well hubby kept blowing up my cell wanting to know where i am, and to hurry home. He called his mom and told her he wasnt babysitting the kids anymore. That pissed me off,
i want to know when do watching your own chilren classify as babysitting?? and he was the one who encouraged me to go to the fym. But just because i didnt come home when he wanted me to, he gets mad.
i got fustrated and ate 3 slices of my birthday cake(not thick slices) and ate 6 pringles.. So basically i just burned what i just ate. I hate this emotional eating soo much. my hubby su***.
his excuse was that he has to go finish up some lawns he was doing early this morning(he does landscaping on the side when he is off) well yesterday he was suppose to do those lawns, so i took the kids to his mom's. but when i got home hubby was playing dominos with the neihbors.
I hate how the first inpulse i had was to eat....... damn my hubby and damn emotional eating

Hi I joined the shakedown and am doing my cardio(well walking 3 days a week and working out 1 night a week with weights). I can do the water no problem just have to make an effort to remember to drink. I did have a cookie yesterday and two pieces of lite garlic bread..
I started taking the pill around noon and I think it is too late..I need to go back to taking it around 8 or 8:30 instead.

I gained three lbs in one day...yup....had some pizza and a piece of garlic bread...some salty tortilla chips....I don't think that I had alot of calories throughout the day but my body just reacts that way to bread and to sodium...

no bread today until further notice.

I dread the weigh in tomorrow becaue it is going to show that I have a gain.

Can't wait to see how much or if I lost anything... (I really do not think it will be 4 pounds...) But even if it is just one! I will be thrilled. My mini goal for this month is to be at or near 175 by May 31st..

I really kicked butt last night! I did my work outs!!

I burned 450 calories just jumping 3000 times on my trampoline. Its pretty nifty! It has a counter on it. Also, I really know I did more then 3000. The counter didn't count all my jumps. I aint worried, as long as I know I was able to burn off lunch, thats all that matters!!!

Woohoo I must have went pee like 20 times today!!! I know I am seriously flushing some water outta me.

Well I know that was tmi!

Hope everyone is having an awesome day!

I'm off to get my stuff to the dryer and then to make some dinner. YEA!!! FOR HAMBURGER HELPER.

I turned on my gospel music when I got home, prayed about the strength to avoid cravings, I ate an orange and went to bed. Look Libby, Look! I lost 6 WHOLE pounds! I started the Shake Down at 211 and I weighted in at 9:30 a.m. and I was 205! :D Six pounds to go and I will be in ONEderland. OH BOY I can't wait. One minor problem TOM is coming next week...I hope it does not sabotage my progess, because TOM is the DEVIL!!!

get some no sugar added hot chocolate (it works) fudgecycles, smart one desserts of a life savor. and if all else fails the twix bars that come like 8 in a pack(its like 1 stick instead of the 2 in a regular bar) they are the same as the 100 calorie twix, but cheaper.

I have not lost 4 lbs during this 10 week cycle.
Not sure what is going on - I have been on this journey for 2 months.
Perhaps I have reached a plateau and need to figure out what to do to get started, again.
My current weight is 175 lbs - down .6 from last week.

What a roller coaster!! I was up 5lbs then I lost 7 and now with TOM (gee thanks Libby!) I am up 2 lb...so grand total at the end of phase 1.......I broke even!!! LOL

but at least I did lose the 5 lbs I had gained. LOL

Okay first I want to congratulate all those that had a loss and reached their onederland goal..woot woot....

I unfortunately have had a gain...I'm started to really get upset. Not sure if it is the colon cleanse or what the frig is going on...but at this point i'm just pissed and when I get pissed I take action. No pity party for me, I declare war on these thighs...and if I have to eat plain chicken breast and salad now until July 4 when I wear a bathing suit again so be it!

i noticed i have been craving bad stuff since irealized i didnt lose anything too.
I better nip that in the bud right now

the session ends tomorrow, so all of us that didnt have a loss or didnt make the best choices this session
lets dust yourself off and do this again next session

(Libby I love the idea of the sessions, your able to see how certain choices effect your weight loss and instead of throwing in the towel and saying you failed, you still have 2 more sessions to get it right)

i am gonna say that i have not lost any, but it is hard to tell b/c i have had a few dips inthe road lately with salty food, so i think i have some water wt on!

libby-i love the next challenge! i will concentrate everyday on the '5 more'...i also have seen this used in other challenges and it always went great. sometimes it was 'what is your 5 more for the week gonna be' then people would post things from water intake, extra leg lifts, whatever...it was great.

mzshorty-i so miss belly dancing! i used to go when we were in ga and i miss miss it! gotta find somewhere around here to get back into it! it was so awesome.

alright ladies, we need to get it in gear this week! do u realize how quick our 'total loss' numbers could sky rocket! it could soon be over 100!!! wow.

Yeah girl, I tell ya....that planting was MAJOR work! I put in so many plants of flowers, after a while I was a planting MACHINE!! Just on automatic pilot putting those ****as in. Every year I say that next year I won't do as much, but of course I get that spring fever and want to put flowers all over hte dang place...after they grow in a little they are going to look really pretty......

well i had better get changed to go out to eat. Want to go early before the crowds start...we didn't make reservations ..i hope that isn't a problem

went for my 3 mile walk with the baby today, It was great bonding time. Had the trash bag around my waste and worked up a sweat.
I refused the urge to get chinese tonight and cooked instead.
Today was a good day. Oh i stepped on the scale around 5pm(just had a sudden urge to) and im down 2ls! Go figure walk and im losing again go to the gym and nada.

Mami, maybe for whatever reason teh gym isn't working for you and you should just stick to walking. Remember that when you work out in the gym with wieghts that the muscles get inflammation and hold on to water....(for lack of a better explanation) so you don't show a weight loss as easily.

Maybe cardio is your thing.

Whatever works girl..way to go on the weight loss.

I went today to my Dr to get a refill of my meds, ( I need to go every Mondays or Tuesdays) Well ofcourse she wanted to weight me, Ive been trying to only weight myself on Thursdays, but she need to know if I am loosing weight or not to increase my meds. Well the good news is that since I began this awesome challenge Ive lost 9 pounds....wooo hooo. I am down to 190. ....

Yesterday was the hardest challenges of all. My Husband (which does not want me to loose weight) and my mom and dad took me out to eat at my favorite restaurants....OMG. Ive never had this control over myself like this EVER in my life. I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD. Well I have a palm treo online and I went to fitday.com but by accident I clicked on the link of previous sites that I have visited and this one came up.....first thing that came up to mind was that I cannot leave my team down and I cannot let myself down. For the first time in my life, I ordered a bottle of water and I controlled what I ate. I am so proud of myself that I didnt quit and didnt over eat.

I apologize for not posting before now. I have been away from the computer.
My weight for 5/10/08 was 175 lbs - I have had good and bad days with the water.
I am glad the next weigh in isn't until next week - maybe I can get the 4 lbs lost by then.
Other than that -- I am great -- 175 lbs was one of my mini goals - I made it.
My next mini goal is 170lbs by the end of the month - I am working hard to make it - TOM is due this week.

i posted this in the other challenge but ill share with you all also

oh i want to tell you guys i didnt not refill my phen today i decided to try didrex for a month. Technically you have the option of taking this 1-3x a day. Its stronger than phen and works quicker( it kicks in up to 30min after you take it) for me today i felt it like 15min. but 1 dose only last 6 hours. Thats why you take it 2-3x a day. But since I dont wake up until 9-10am and i normally take phen late anyways, its not a problem. I took it around 2 today due to running errands. It completly wiped out my appetite. I didnt even have the desire to eat or crave anything. My inlaws ate ribs and mac and cheese right in front of me and i didnt want any.
I didnt feel the heart racing and heat spells either. Ill keep you guys updated. I was thinking of getting the 60pills supply for 2x a day, but i dont think i need it(i have the 30 pills for 1x a day. 6 hours for me cover lunch and dinner. With phen my dr wanted me to take 37.5mg in the am and 15mg in the evening because it wasnt lasting.

also i had an amazing workout otday have no idea how much i burned. I walked 2.5miles around noon then i went to hte gym and did 20 minutes (175 calories on the treadmill) and 20minutes (200calories) on the ellipt. then i did some strength training. Im tired as heck but feel really good.

Mami you have me curious about this didrex stuff now.....I don't think phen is really working for me anymore...it is disheartening....

"bursts" of exercise makes the muscle twitch fibers work harder ..such as running sprints instead of just running at a steady pace, etc.....it does burn more fat, so maybe that is what happened in teh study you are referring to..... You are alwasy better off getting on the treadmill as running at maximum speed for a shorter time than running on it at a lower resistance for shorter time......but whatever gets you moving is GOOD...I don't worry too much about what is going to make me burn fat more, I just want to MOVE and burn some calories.....but if you do get technical you'll see that there are ways to work out more efficiently....

Good Morning!

I am going to continue taking Diethlpropion, Chronium, HCG and B12shots, for 7 more weeks. My doctor said that when you take this medication for 8 weeks your body get immune to it, and I am supposed to rest with out it 3 week, now I know when I am supposed to take my "break" I will try didrex.

what is interval training?

its when you workout at a high level for a few minutes then take it down to a lower level then keep repeating. I did this yesterday on the ellipt and treadmill. I set the treadmill to interval and it automatically adjusted the resistance and levels for me.
( my sister in law was on one right beside me just doing the quick start, i lost more calories than her doing hte interval)

on the elliptical i would do level 10 for about 5min then takie it down to level 3 for about 5 min then take it to level 15 for about 2 mon then take it back down. Man i worked up a sweat.

also on some of the workout dvds, turbo jam and billy blanks, you know they have the session on the video that is turbo for like 2 minutes. it serves the same purpose.

i posted this on the other thread about my day, it ****ed

breakfast-atkins shake
lunch- wendy's grilled chicken go wrap
snack- 2 glazed krispy kreme donuts
snack- fun size twix
dinner-salad, baked chicken?

the bad thing is i took the didrex around 2. Im not hungy im not hungry even now. But i am stressed out of my mind. My hubby is gone until friday working. Which isnt the problem he works one week and off the next week.
the problem is my 2yr old is burning up with fever that comes and goes. I took her to the dr this am. and she has tonsilitis plus a slight ear infection. Well she wont eat or drink a thing and im worried about dehydration.
The dr stressed pushing fluids but if she wont take it what can i do. I tried giving her popsicle and that wont work. The baby is okay but he gets fussy when he hears her cry, i guess he is owrried about her, and i feel really helpless.
So dispite not being hungry at all i force myslef to eat these bad things because i guess i assume they will be comforting but honestly its not helping.

OH MAMI! I wish i lived closer so I could help you......

If the baby has tonsillitis it is only natural that she deosn't want to drink anything, but hopefully she will soon...just so she won't get dehydrated...look out for the signs (dry skin, sunken eyes, lethargy) and take her in again! I had to do that with my son when he was little.....

So on Saturday I ran my first 5K in 37 min. That is 3.10 miles and there were hills. It was the most rewarding thing I have done in a long time. I was under 200 this week however I think with 3 cocktail parties this weekend I may have gone back over. I have not worked out since Saturday because I have a sick baby (AGAIN). I am definately going to work out tomorrow and see if I can get below 200 before Thursday.

This past week I have had my birthday (1st one ever without cake)
Mother's day
wedding aniversary.
3 cocktail parties
no work outs

I am going nuts!!!!

lost30: i am ssssooooo jealous u ran a 5k!! i am just starting to run and my fastest mile is 12 min so far...and i am proud of it!! i need to be running more frequently, i only do it maybe once a week, then do other stuff. i so want to run a 5k! it is one of my personal goals.

i think i am more back on track, got off track with moving cross country and in with my ex sil who is a serious food lover-but this week she started a diet and is logging her food into fitday, so there is less cheating going on!!! i can't believe we are half way thru may!!! i keep thinking of how i agreed to post a pic in a bathing suit in july, this month i have been at a stand still--guess i need to amp it up for the rest of the month!!!

will post tomorrow night from work girls!!

I only lost 3 pounds this week. I weigh 202...almost out of the 200's! I thought I would make it to 199 this week, but hopefully next week. I take that back...I WILL MAKE IT TO 199 or under for our next weigh in.

well congrats to all that had a loss im down to 223.5 i feel my tummy rumbling os i bet im about to lose another lb once i do my business.
i really think i want to start eliminating some carbs. I havent been able to workout everyday because of my daughter being sick, by the was Scat im worried about her, she hasnt ate since monday and she drank a few sips here and there but not much.
this is really hard seeing her go thru this.

Well, I am finally back down to 196 again. I mysteriously went up 2 lbs after getting micro braids put in last Friday. I don't know if it was all that extra hair that made me go up like that, or if it was just me. Anyways, I am happy to report that I am back at 196.:)

Well it is official I am down to 197 and my start weight was 234 when I started phen in March. I am so excited I can not believe it and I have not worked out all week. That puts me down 37lbs so far. OH MY GOSH I can not believe it.

i was a strict low carber for a while....I truly believe it is a good way to eat for LIFE....

Get rid of anything white...no white bread, no white rice or pasta...in the beginning you should probably cut all bread and rice, even if it is whole wheat, they still raise your glycemic index.....

Have fruit in the morning ONLY.

Lean meats, lots of salad and vegetables.....you shouldn't be hungry on a low carb diet, if you are then you didn't eat enough. That is what Atkins believed and I believed him...for snacks get yourself some string cheese or babybel cheese, or just roll up some cold cuts and eat those without bread.

Eggs are GREAT....

Fish is GREAT, esp. a fish high in omega 3 oils like salmon...

hmm..I cna't think of anything else but i'm sure others will have plenty to add...If you are really at a loss then do a structured low carb plan , buy the aktins, south beach or dr perricone book. I have all three and the only one that i was really successful on was atkins...but remember that the induction period is only for two weeks then you can start adding more healthy carbs...your cravings for sugar will be GONE!

I wish i stuck with it but i didn't, and now i'm paying the price.

wow, i can't believe that we have some that hit onederland and quite a few that are on the cusp! so awesome! i know it is like early 17th right now, but i am just gonna try to get to the 20th without cheating!!! i have the w/e off so it is gonna be hard. right now i am trying to get back to only one cheat day a week, this is so hard. but at least i am not being bad everyday right??

libby-don't know how i totally misinterpreted that!! lol!! yes, me and the scale have a love affair...i try to only weigh before bed and right when i get up...otherwise i get crazy and do it before each meal throughout the day when i am home, or after i pee, or strip down completely instead of leaving like shirt, bra, and socks on-of course pants have to come off cause they weigh too much!!! the scale has been mean lately, i think it is punishing me...dam.n thing...

I havent been around Phentermine.com for a long time I lost the weight and was managing quite well for awhile,until I got sick and gain a lot of weight back. I was able to go to the gym this morning and work out.
I discovered i dont need an mp 3 player at the gym because i can listen to music on my phone thru the blue tooth! im so slow i didnt even know i can do that. lol
im feeling really good, im thinking i need to cut the carbs out for 2 weeks like fat smash but i wonder if i can really do it with carbs being in the house. Well nothing hurts a failure but to try, so im going for it starting tomorrow. I noticed i dont want something unless its in view so im putting hte bread up.

I'm soo excited for everyone who is losing and not losing. It's showing I bet!!! Just remember even though the scale isn't dropping, doesn't mean its not showing!!! Because seriously, I look like I lost another 10 pounds, and I am still at 181. Boo. But yeah!!! because I feel excited I'm triming out.

My mini goal - 178 by next Thursday. We shall see, we shall see. In the mean time, I am taking my son with me to go buy some fruit and veggies this afternoon. Hopefully we can hit up all the little stands that sell fruits and veggies real cheap. I doubt it though. Boy do I miss the valley sometimes. On second thought.. nahhh, I don't like the humidity.

I was 198 and now I am 196 I would like to be in the 80s before the month is out. I havent worked out today yet, But i will try to get in some walking I must admit I dont feel like it today ,but I will push it.

ok am ready tooo.........today i was at the gym for like 2hrs......did a 45 min class....30 mins on the bike...and 30 min jog btw 2.5 and 3.5....15 mins of weight training.....as for food i had a protein shake,salad for lunch,snacked on tangerines and had wheat pasta and meat

Hello I am just checking in with my weigh in. I started at 198 and as of this morning I am 193. thats a total of 5 pounds. I will start with my cardio part of the challenge tomorrow. I know i wont reach 12 pounds by the end of the challenge, but I am sure going to try.

scale says 140.8. I have gained weight...and I am depressed because of it.....It means that I can't go off of the phen like I had hoped, especially before a weekend at my mama's......the woman is all about food and feeding people.....the temptation is going to be too great for me, I go through this every Memorial Day weekend......

So today I am back on phen and going to get back on track. I am going to do alot of walking at my mom's....no room to bring my bike but if I walk enough it should do the trick.

Mami, I have wallpaper in my kitchen that I'd love to take down but it seems like such a daunting task because there are so many nooks and crannies and hard to reach areas....also i'm afraid of what the walls are going to look like after that wallpapaer comes down, which means lots of prep work before painting...UGH...looks like i'm going to have to shell out money to have it done ..:(
