View Full Version : The "You ate WHAT? Challenge"

packgirls
March 31st, 2008, 03:31 PM
We all do it. You know what I am talking about. We exercise, take our vitamins, and our phen... then we go to Dunken Donuts.... aww... the dreaded "you ate what?". Take myself for example... today I got up early, went to the Body Definition class and came home and ate like I haven't eaten in a week... anything bad I could grab! So, it's time to be responsible for what we put in our mouths! A minute on the lips, a year on the hips! Get out an old notebook and start writing down what you put in your mouth! Every bite counts, let's see where we are really sabotaging ourselves. You may be surprised what the reason behind that "plateau" really is!
It's just that easy... write it down. It may make you think twice about eating that twinkie, cause after your day of eating - you are to report back to us... the good, the bad, and the down right ugly! I will give you tips along the way... 1st tip... get yourself one of those little memo pads to keep in the purse - so there is no excuse for not writing down what touches those lips... Redsox... put yours in your pocket;), unless you are a purse carrying type of guy:rolleyes:.
Weighins will be on fridays, cause that's the way we roll! So, if you want to be challenged, hop aboard...
<3 Susan

Hey! Packs, it's like you were talking right to me when you said "You may be surprised what the reason behind that "plateau" really is!" I have a hard time with mindless snacking. Then I can't remember what I ate, or how much of it. So I guess it's time to be accountable for my actions. It's not going to be easy, but I'll give it a shot. I'll officially start tomorrow.

Here's me in a nut shell:
Married mom of 2. Daughter is 4 and my son is 18 months. Hubby just got home from a 15 month deployment, and I am "Sexually deprived for your freedom" no more! :D I do not discriminate against any types of food. Love them all! :) Today I weighed in at 146, but I refuse to change my ticker till I'm less than what it says. That's about all.

Packs- I love the new pic!!! I can really tell a difference. I guess the second round of straightening did the trick on the hair too....
Mindless eating..yep that would be me! I think that the journal is a wonderful idea. Do we share what we eat here everday? Are we setting a goal for the challenge? And how long are we running this?
Maybe we should go in and get red sox a MAN PURSE ;)....

Chester- glad you are no longer deprived. :)

Oh heres me..Married mom of 2 ..11 year old girl and 4 year old boy..and a secret agent hubby (inside joke ;) )

I have school but I will check in later..

How long do ya'll want to do this chappenge? Yes, every day we have to say every single thing we put into our mouths - starting tomorrow cause I just came from CiCi's:p LOL I am doing my own personal goal of 150 by May 9th... I think we should each do our own goals for this... but we do have to spill the beans on the eating thing! I'm in on the man purse thing... I got a couple bucks I'm willin to spend on sox!;)
Chester, you should be burnin some extra calories now that you aren't sexually deprived for our freedom!
Oh, and Im - thanks! I like my hair now:)
I guess I should state a little about myself too. I'm going to be 30 in may, I have three children - ages almost 1, almost 5 and almost 9! WHEW - time flies! My hubby has a boring desk job so I have to live through people like Im who has a secret agent hubby and Chester who has a man in uniform every day:p

I'm really not a hip style type of guy...so the man purse is out!!!

Btw.....I posted pics in the old thread....

I am in!! Official first weigh in will be on Friday.

This morning I had a bowl (approx 1 1/2 cups) of Cherrios multigrain cereal with about 3/4 cup of 1% milk. I also had 8 oz of Hood's simply smart non-fat Chocolate milk. for my morning snack I had 2 pieces of Wonder's kid bread (fortified with protein and fiber..as if it were wholegrain..but it is white) with peanut butter.

For lunch i'll be having a morningstar veggie Chix pattie (tastes like the real thing!!) on a wheat roll with 1 slice of Kraft 2% american cheese. I'll have a hunt's snack pack fat free choc pudding and a medium sized gala apple.

For afternoon snack it will be a couple of quaker chocolate rice cakes...

And most work days that will be my boring yet highly effective menu....lol

Oh and to describe myself: I am an engaged almost 41yr old male (4/28) with two children daughter 17 son 13 and a wonderful fiancee (who is 6 1/2 yrs older then me..lol) her daughter who lives with us full time 15 and another daughter who lives with us when not in college and 19. She also has a daughter 24 who is getting married in June and a cute as heck almost two year old grand daughter. So basically their are soon to be 9 of us in our family after we add the son in law in June...lol and yes life is as hectic as you might think it is for us...lol.

Oh I'm new, and would love to join the challenge! I have used phen in the past with great poundage lost. This is my second time and I'm finding it more difficult.....I'll eat the chocolate rabbit, not because I'm hungry or really even that I want it...it's just there. Self control....I need some more awareness of what I'm actually shoving in my mouth if I want change.

Little about myself : I'm 25 from Virginia. I just became engaged in Jan! I work full time and am a full time student. This will be my second marriage ( the first was jumbled with inmaturity, insecurity ) I really don't want to walk down the aisle resembling the Michelin Man....=) I want to start a new life as a healthy college graduate and newlywed!

WELCOME! Newbies are welcome, we have all been there at some point. This group of phends is a lot of fun.... a little distracted latley, but fun. Hopefully this challenge will refocus all of us.... we need something to call you though, unless you want to be referred to as 40 - LOL
We have sox, packs, Timi, Im, Choco, Chester, LZ, Dale, Virgo... have I missed anyone? Hope not.... Choco is takin a break, but she'll be back or we'll hunt her down like a pack or rabid animals!
I already did the gym today. 45 on the E, then leg weights and situps.... Man, I need a shower.
I had a protein shake for lunch made with protein powder, Oj, yougurt and milk... still hungry though - but I just took my phen... when baby lays down I'll shower and eat a little somethin else... fajitas for dinner tonight!

Hey guys.... I had a great workout at the gym, for the first time in a good while. (still have gimpy toe) BUT I didn;t eat breakfast so I messed up. My personal goal for this week is to eat my raisin bran crunch before I set foot out of this house!!! Anyway, I had a happy meal... yes that is what I said!! AND an icecream cone... FAT FREE mind you... I am still under for calories but will have to eat a light dinner. Has anyone been doing the apple cider vinegar thing or heard of it? Also my Dr. wants to start me on the phen capsules, they are time released and he feels it will work better since more often than not I forget to take the 2nd half, anyone have experience with these. Oh and 2 bottles of water too.

Redsox- I will go back and check out the pics...

Packs- how long does the straigtening suppose to last? I thikn Choco is having too much fun judging from her myspace pics :)... I think we n eed to go get TImi too!!

Hers my calorie count and fat...
I burned 600 at the gym THEN!!

23 grams of fat
545 on calories for the day...
see just have to eat low fat for dinner, and I will be ok... I think ;)

I need to go back and read how many calories I am suppose to be eating... need to go look at me pm's. I have only had 415 today. I burned 450 on the E, and that doesn't count all the lifting. Aren't we suppose to eat at least 1200 and then what we burned? If that's the case I need to eat some oreos:p KIDDING! Dont' yell at me!

Im, happy meal? Hey, at least it is portion control! I haven't done the time release thing. I just started taking my phen again today. I only have a month left, and Dr won't give me anymore. I swear I should walk in there naked and then I bet he would hand me a bottle! Guess I will be looking for some online - that's kinda scary though:( The straightening lasts until it grows out - about 9 months and then you have to get the roots done again. My hair isn't real curly at the roots so mine should last a while. At least I hope it does or hubby will not be happy! Hey, I'm on myspace too! We need to hook up... look for me... I don't remember if it is under Susan Roger or Susan Pack... but look me up and add me! I need to find choco on there to and drag her back by the pretty little hair on her head!;)

All the more reason to have myspace. I have it to watch out with what is going on with my friends teenage daughters since they don't have a clue what's going on. And I like it, I have found people that I haven't talked with in years/

Hey guys. I actually kept track of what I ate today. Go me! Here's the break down:
B- Oatmeal (160 calories)
L - Weight Watchers meal (250)
Snack - 16 Wheat Thins - Yes, I counted them out (130)
D - Pot Roast and mashed potatoes (490 approx.)
Snack - I have to finish off the night with a bowl of sherbet (200 approx)

Total calories: 1230

I know I could have done without the sherbet, but other than that it was a pretty good day. Oh, and I got in 72 oz. of water.

Today was a day for the books. Macho had a follow up eye doctor appointment and I can't begin to describe the midget wrestling that took place while we were in the office. I was seeing stars after the second head butt to my nose. Luckily hubby came (of course he was late for the appointment) just in time to take over. His eyes are fine, no crossing, no weird thing happening in the corner pockets and no glasses needed. Then I go and pick up Ms. Thang from school where her teacher tells me she has had another bad day. This was like the 4th bad day in a row. We're sitting at dinner and she starts pulling her "I'm not eating this" routine. Now, secretly I'm happy that hubby is finally getting to see what I've been talking about for the past 15 months, but outwardly I'm getting annoyed by the second. He made her sit there until she ate everything on her plate. It seemed like they were there for hours. Lots of tears, screaming, and spankings were taking place, but she ate everything on her plate. Some people may think that's harsh, but we only give her a few pieces of food because the kid hardly eats anything. She needs to eat, where as Macho could stand to skip a few meals. Daddy spankings are a lot harder than Mommy spankings were her exact words as I was putting her to bed tonight.

On to you peeps...

IM - What classes are you taking this semester? I think I took the capsules the very first time I got my script filled. I don't remember what the effect was though. When I went to the weight loss clinic for my weigh in on Monday I had to see the nutritionist and she told me to take my entire pill first thing in the morning. I told her that I had been breaking it up, and she said not to. I don't remember why though. I guess I should pay attention more. I think Phen has made me ADD though. Congrats on the workout, and for only getting a Happy Meal, I so would have gotten a Double Cheeseburger Meal.

Packs - Do you still have to dry your hair or will it dry naturally like that? And no, I'm not burning as many calories doing the mattress mambo as you think. Let's just say, some things you have to work back up to. LOL! Oh, I have some Oreo's in my house if you still plan on splurging. Hopefully the guilt has set in by now and you have made a healthier choice. Who am I to talk though after eating a bowl of sherbet. Why won't your doc give you any more Phen?

Redsox - Just saw the pictures. You look great! You've done really well in a small amount of time. Just think where you'll be in 4 more months. When's the wedding? You'll need to find a bigger house to hold your growing family. That's great though. The more the merrier. How's the weather been treating you lately?

40 to lose - Welcome! I'm in the same boat. I eat because I know it's sitting there. Then I wonder why I can't take the weight off. So this challenge is just what we need! Congrats on the engagement! That's exciting stuff. It seems like you have a lot on your plate right now with school, work and planning a wedding. Good luck! I was wondering how tall you were? I'm 5'1 and I alway used to say that I looked like a Weeble Wobble. I still kind of do, just a little less Weeble but with all the Wobble.

Where's LZ?

Talk to you tomorrow!

BIGGEST lOSER tALK:; CHESTER- I SWEAR I WAS GONNA CALL YOU LAST NIGHT!!Did you hear Mark when he was on the phone with his wife? And then she said "Oh LORD are you crying again?" I almost lost it!! I think she is sick off his whiny baby stuff too... I know one thing, Mark and Jay's wife both better step it up, when I saw Jay with his wife, I was thinking they both needs some crest white strips, but she need to make herself over. I think Mark and Ally both are getting too skinny. Last week they both looked good, this week Mark looked all wrinkily and she was *****ing about her arms!! I really wanted to smack her..real hard..And Kelly, Can someone please buy her some clothes!!! Everyone else has new clothes except her... Mark is turning against Roger and poor Roger doesn't have a clue :(.. I am all in it, in case you haven't noticed...

chester- great job on the eating..now about the mattress mambo..ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Step it up!!

Okay, off to a good start with my cereal

Okay, I counted calories up until dinner, but I didn't completley count that - to darn hard! I had 565 calories before dinner, and I had one faijta, on a low carb wrap, with a bit (and I mean a smidgin) of sour cream, not even 1/4 cup cheese, salsa and onion and peppers - oh, it was skirt steak - but I am sure it wasn't near 800 calories, so I guess I did good yesterday - I don't think I ate enough. Maybe that's my problem... well that and making poor food choices when I eat. Baby was being ridiculous yesterday, and I wasn't taking it well considering that I wasn't eating any junk or drinking any coke - I miss coke and cookies... already... *tears* I am also not sleeping at night. It really stinks. I think I need to talk to my Dr again about some sleeping pills. It just stinks because I haven't ever really found any that works:(

Chester, hi to my new myspace friend! How weird is it that I almost married an Airborne guy, who was stationed at Fort Bragg... I didn't, he went a little nuts, married a stripper who ended up getting him on drugs and he had to leave the military - yep, guess I made a good choice in my hubby:D Although this guy would have never, EVER done any of that nonsense on my watch. Oh well, can't change the past! It really sounds like your daughter needed her daddy to whoop some booty! See, in my family it is me who is the one the kids don't want to make angry - daddy is a pushover! I'm glad you finally have backup, sounds like you need it! And yes, I still have to blow dry my hair - but it only takes like 10 minutes, it use to take over 30. Normally you wouldn't have to, but because of all my highlights and the condition my hair was in I have to. Still love it though, worth it to me! Dr said I am no longer in the obese or overweight catagory on the BMI scale. I call BULL SH IT! But, what's a girl gonna do... internet shop I guess:mad: BTW, was hubby surprised when he saw his hot wife?

Im, I have to agree with you on the myspace thing - it is the only way I keep up with some of my friends. Oh, and I looked back on the info Lovin gave me, yep - you were right 1500 calories! What ever happend to lovin anyways? She was a good one to have around - full of all kinds of useful information. Oh, I sent a friend request to Choco and told her to get her butt of the floor of the bathroom and back on this board:p

Sox, come one... join the myspace world! It is a great way to spy on your kids!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Chester : I'm 5'2", I lovely refere to myself as an oompa loompa....lol Pants pockets are the enemy : stick straight out. Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do

Packs: Nicknames, those have always brought back memories, really don't have a good one for myself. The only thing that comes to mind is Wonka due to my resemblance of a oompa loompa, and I can't promise my hair has never been green. lol I was called Red for years after an unfortunate girl's night out : margarita blitzed trip to walmart, red hair dye.....

Sox : You're never too old for myspace....although the man purse is a different story.

Now the confessional :

Yesterday not such a good day. I started the morning off with a rather large chocolate rabbiit and a can of coke. Yes yes, I know the caffiene is bad, but I'm working on it...down to one can a day. Lunch time rolled around and my honey had taken my lean cusine to work and left the Marie Calendar alfredo in the freezer. Of course I could have made myself a turkey sandwich, had some fruit....but nope I ate all 400 cals, 35 grams of fat. Got to work ( I work day/evening rotation) and found a large box of home baked cookies that a home health agency left on my desk. I tried to feed them to the nurses....but had two myself. Which had to be washed down with a bottle of whole milk. Just when it couldn't get worse I left my salad at home for dinner...so off to the hospital caffeteria for a Cheeseburger...I did skip the fries.

But today is gonna be a better day. I got up took my very overweight chihuahua for a drag...walk. Had a yogurt and a banana for breakfast. Today I'm gonna move all the chips, candy, junk to the top shelves in the cabinet. ( I can't reach without dragging over a chair, and i can't just throw it out because honey, and i need to learn how not to eat it just because it's there. The world outside my house is full of chips, cookies, and Maggie Moos.

Well I think i have rambled on enough, Again thanks for the welcom. I look forward to getting to know everyone

Morning ladies!!!

The kids got wise a long time ago and made their sites private..lol. I'd actually need to get on the computer at home to even use Myspace..and thats not happenning. You try to keep them off of it and it is like taking crack away from an addict...lol

I was a bad boy this morning and slept in..but it isn't totally my fault!! The Red Sox were on last night in Oakland and the game didn't get over till 1am or so. A man needs to sleep some. My fiancee was all over my butt for it as usually I would lose steam come april or after losing 50 lbs or so. but this time is different..so I'm not worried I was falling prey to that..it was just the Sox first game on US soil for the season. I'll be back on the treadmill or elliptical tomorrow and keep eating well. This time it really does feel different!!

This morning I had my bowl of cereal and glass of chocolate milk and for snack I had a 100calorie snack pack for a treat. For lunch I'm going to run out and get a 6" turkey sub at Subway. Dinner is a chix breast cooked on the grill (my woman is from texas..so you know it is charcoal and not a gas grill..lol) with wild brown rice. and while watching the biggest loser i'll have my skinny cow ice cream bar (only 100 cal and tastes awesome!!)

Packs : I worked the night shift at the hospital for eons....just now started working daylight shifts. Woohoo
I had the hardest time sleeping during the day, I tried everything I could get my hands on. Most of the OTC pills contained the same ingredients as benadryl that makes me absolutely wired. I finally found Kroger's Sleepy Sleep. Knock off of Tylenols simple sleep. It doesn't have any pain meds in it...but has managed to knock me out. I would take it about 45 mins before bed and wake up hours later.

Prescritpion wise I did take ambien and it work well for awhile...but lost the effect after a few weeks. Different for everyone. I then tried Lunesta....OMG! It created this after taste like rotten eggs....I could taste it for days after I stopped. Apparently it was a common side effect.....

But if you have a Kroger near by...give it a try...I believe it's less tha $4

Okay 40, you need to change your screen name to Wonka - I like that:) Everyone loves Wonka - cause that's chocolate.... mmmmm... chocolate... I want some chocolate! A bunny and a coke - that's starting the day off like a true champion! Hopefully you are on a better track today.
I met my friends at the mall today and they decided to eat at Johnny Rockets ( which is a burger joint) - I had just the single, and took off 1/2 the bun, and that's all I ate. So far it's all I have had today. I am awful with this diet thing cause I am afraid to eat anything. I am really wanting those chip ahoys in my pantry right now. I don't know what I am doing for dinner... maybe I'll get a salad from McD's.
Okay, gotta go take DD#1 back to school for a play, home at 8:30.... awww... motherhood - ain't it grand!

Packs - Do you think Tim would eat the Chips ahoy in the closet? Do you think he could somehow get into those leather pants if he did? If Tim can lay off the chips Ahoy so can you!!! Eat a piece of fruit, have fat free pudding when you need a chocolate fix...it doesn't have the aftertaste of sugar free pudding. You can even add a dollop of cool whip and only add like 10 calories to it! A grilled cheese is usually around 200 calories if you use the proper bread and cheese slices. Thats less calories then a chips ahoy or two and a heck more filling!!

40 - Welcome to the group. sounds like you know what to do but can't actually make your self do it. You CAN do it..you must pre-plan your meals and stick to it. If you are writing down your meals you won't forget as you'll know you need to write it down...IT WORKS!!!! Every day is one day closer to your wedding so why let another one go to waste!! I know you can do it...I have faith in you...now look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you have faith in yourself too and make it happen!! We are here to help! Grilled cheese sandwiches can work for you too...make them before heading to work and then just reheat it when you are at work...a tasty snack and it feels like your cheating!! Toss some turkey in it too if you'd like...several slices are only like 50 calories!! I can't wait to hear about your sucess days!!

ok..time to go home!! By ladies!!!

Morning Ladies!!!!

This morning I was on the E and did some resistance work too.

I had my bowl of multigrain cheerios with my glass of non-fat choc milk.

I just had my morning snack...100cal english muffin toasted with peanut butter. (need that protein!!)

I have my veggie chix pattie lunch with the fatfree pudding and gala apple.

so exercise is in and food is going well. We go look at a couple of homes tonight too.

We already have too many people at times in our home...we are just looking for a home that we'd own instead of rent...lol

IM - I was laughing too when I heard Mark's wife giving it to him with all his crying..lol she told him to grow a pair!!!! I bet she can't be liking watching him and alli interacting...they are very touchy feely together...lol Jay should have stayed as Mark has hit the end of the road..he has maybe 10 lbs max he can lose...while Jay has a good 25 lbs to go. alli can probably lose another another 15lbs. It is roger and Kelly that are the real threats!! They both have 40-50lbs they can lose by the final!!! I hope they both get the chance as well!

Glad to hear that you're turning the corner and getting back into the flow mentally!! Look at the bright side...you coasted for 4 months and still didn't put the weight back on...now your body will be ready to lose the weight more readily!!! Great job and keep it going!!! Yucky swollen toe and all!

Disney - you can join us on one condition.....STOP USING ALL CAPS!!!! I MAY NOT USE MYSPACE BUT I KNOW IT IS HARDER TO READ ALL CAPS AND IT IS CONSIDERED THE EQUIVALENT TO YELLING ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry had to do that..lol I was actually yelling in my head the whole time I read your post and when I just typed all that..lol. I like your choice of breakfast cereal! I hope you're using 1% or lower for your milk! Your menu was decent but you're missing snacks in between. Just like the old steam engines your metabolism needs food to burn or it w i l l s l o o o w d o o w n. Eating even a small snack will be like tossing coal on the fire..it will keep your metabolism running at peak. Just an idea for you..something easy like a piece of fruit, non-fat yogurt or pudding (the hunts snack pack non-fat pudding is only 80 calories a serving!!). an afternoon snack will keep you going till dinner and help you not be so famished at dinner time too! Just some info I got from my nutritionist..it seems to work too!

So when is this wedding??

Ok ladies lets keep up the good work and remember tomorrow is weigh in day!!!

GOOD MORNING ALL!!!! That was just for Sox, I just felt like yelling at him! LMAO

I ate 2 cheeseburgers yesterday and that is it:confused: I was out all day... at least I didn't eat more than 1500 calories! Today isn't going to be much better. I am getting ready to leave here in 15 minutes and I won't be home until late again. Busy time of year for us! I didn't get to exercise yesterday, but I was walking all day so even though it wasn't a sweat fest at the gym, I still did a lot. I am doing better with this challenge too, but I have a major will to get there this time!

Sox, how do you like the E? How long are you doing it for and how long did you last the first time... wow... that sounds kinda perverted!:o

Im, Choco commented me that I sent a search party out for her. She says she is going on vacation soon and then she will join us again.. but I have her on myspace... so I will drag her back to us! Good job on kickin some butt on this challenge! I have a good feeling about this one! We are going to kick butt and take names!

Welcome Disney! I just bought my year family pass.... that's a perk of living down here. Your wedding sounds wonderful. I never had a real wedding, so on our 10th anniversary we are going to renew our vows with the big wedding I always wanted! Welcome to this crazy group - I think you will fit right in!

Chester must be taking our advice and doing the mattress mambo right now! WHOOO HOOOO!!! Get him Chester!:p

Off to temptation island - a mom's meetup with nothing but junk - I WILL PREVAIL!!!!!

Here I am, sorry. I got bogged down this week. I am not doing well with exercise. I decided to give the old joints a break and see if it helps. I am going to do some pilates today. Most of my workout is in the form of working outside in the garden. If Spring will just stay here, that type of work will be enough.

Last day of prednisone was yesterday. That water weight started falling off as soon as my dose started decreasing. So I am headed back down to the 140 again. We'll see how close I am tomorrow. Maybe in the 142 range? One can hope.

Here is my menu for yesterday.

B-protein shake
S-fiber one bar
L-pork skins(no carbs in these!);lowfat broccoli salad
S-2 oz chicken breast;1/2 c gr beans;1/2 c mac & ch
D-3 oz pork;1/2 c green beans;1 c lowfat spanish rice (made w/brown rice);1/4 c applesauce

1448 calories

Back for more in a minute.

Hi Disney. I want to go to Disney. It has been years since I've been. What a neat idea for a wedding.

Packs, we didn't have a wedding. We eloped to the JP. I never really had a desire for one after we passed our 5th anniversary.

Have fun today!

It will be great for Choco to come back after her vacation. I am going on vacation April 29. My Sis and I are going to see my step-mom in CA. I can't wait.

IM, it's a nice feeling to be motivated again. Great job on the workouts.

40, I'm sure your excited to work days. I am going to try that sleep med from Kroger next time I am near one.

Chester, what a relief it must be to have Hubby to step in on the parenting. I'm so glad you are no longer having to be deprived for our freedom.

Mark, I agree, NO MAN PURSE!

Have a great day all. I need to get in hear. TTYL.

GOOD MORNING PHRENDS! - That was for Sox also :)

Sorry I didn't make it on here yesterday. Every time I sat down, I had a little person trying to get my attention. So now I have to play catch up. Here's yesterday's menu:

B - Special K cereal (110) Not sure about the milk
Snack - Fiber One bar (150)
L - WW meal (300)
Diet Sunkist (0)
D - I made Hamburger Helper but used Lean Turkey instead. I forgot to check on the calories though. I'm sure it was up there seeing as I added some sour cream and some cheese.

I got in 72oz of water.

Total calories: 560 + the milk and my heavy dinner. I'm guessing around 1100 total for the day.

I also did the E for 30, some bi's and tri's, and some girly push-ups.

Biggest Loser Talk
Mark was justified in crying last night. I would have been emotional to be at such a beautiful place without my spouse also. And then to send your brother home after you both have made such life transforming progress together. It has to be hard. All those other crying episodes I could have done without! Ally looks great and I wish my arms could look like hers. She looked so cute when they went out dancing. Kelly does need some new threads, but I hate buying clothes when I know I'm going to be losing more weight. Maybe she felt the same way. If I was going stepping out right now, I'd have to go out and buy something to wear. It's amazing how much younger they all look after losing weight. Hopefully when I get to my goal weight, I'll look like a teenager again. Then I'll get to relive those years with a little more enjoyment.

Let me clarify about the mattress mambo... Yes, it's happening. It's the best 2 to 3 minutes of my life! :p That's the part that we need to work back up to. At least I know he wasn't cheating on me while he was gone! (He'd kill me right now for saying all of this.)

On to you guys...

Packs - I may have to do that when my hair grows out. I'm just afraid it will damage my hair and it will all come falling out. Are you still taking the Arbonne fizzy tablets? If so when, and how often. Yum - Johnny Rockets. The milkshakes are fabulous. Were you guys at the Citrus Park Mall? I used to live right around there off of Ehrlich and Bellamy. My old stomping ground. Hey, maybe you can tell me the name of that bowling place in Channelside. When we go home we're going to try to do one big meet and greet with all our friends and family so we're not wasting our vacation driving around to see everyone. We want it to be kid friendly but also be able to drink some. Let me know if you have any ideas for us. The only other place I can think of is Chuck E. Cheese.

40 - A chocolate rabbit and a coke! Dear Lord 40, are you trying to kill yourself? (I'm secretly going," yummy" in my head.) I hear ya on the pants pockets. Someone out there wants to see me cry when I put those on! And do you have to get everything hemmed like I do? It stinks being so short! A pound on us looks like 10 pounds on the average person.

Red - What kind of Skinny Cow bars are you getting? I've seen them, just never tried them. Low cal ice cream always tastes so weird to me. Way to lay the guilt trip on Packs by throwing Tim in the mix. That was too funny! Good luck on house hunting tonight!

IM - You go girl for getting back on the wagon! I still get headaches every now and then. Can't help you out there. Did you ever find out any info on the Apple Cider thing. I bought some at the store today just in case. I'm ready when ever you are. I'll try anything once.

Disney - Welcome! I have an obsession with Diet Sunkist and Coke Zero. Just hook an IV up of either of those and I'm a happy girl. Congrats on the upcoming wedding. That sounds so exciting! I'm a Disney freak also. Love everything about Disney. We're going there this summer and going all out. We're staying at one of the resorts, have every dining experience you can think of already reserved and are eating breakfast at Cinderellas Castle. I'm more excited than my kids. This will be there first time, so they don't really know what to expect. I can't imagine have a Fairytale type wedding. Please post some pictures for us "princess wanna-be's" to see.

I better get going to fix the little man some lunch. I'll be back later. Have a skinny day!

STOP ALL THE $#@%^&*(@##$%^ YELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

I hope Disney realized I was joking with her...:o

Chester - Glad your back to "dancing in the sheets" even if it is the "minute waltz"!! Poor guy is a soldier...and they are taught to clean their guns as fast as possible and all....lmao! I guess it all depends on how quickly he can get the gun back together and into operational mode again eh..... ok time to leave the poor guy alone!!

As far as the Skinny cow treats go..my favorite is the (looking up the actualy name now..lol) skinny cow low fat fudge bar. It is only 100 calories and you'd never know it was a low fat treat...at least I don't!! I think they taste great and I look forward to it on the nights I'm not working the pt job. It really curbs my ice cream craving..I'll scoop ice crwam for everyone and then eat my treat. I let it sit for a few minutes to soften up and then enjoy it. I only get about 93 calories though...as the dog gets the last little bit to lick off... give them a try!!

LZ - Good to see you back and glad your coming off the steroids. hopefully you'll be back to 100% soon!! I like the picture in the avatar..thanks!! I posted pics in the old thread if you didn't see them...told you I'd post them after you did!! :D My fingers are crossed that spring is pretty much here!! We had 4 inches of heavy wet snow last Friday....I was so depressed...lol. But thankfully after some warm weather and heavy rains most of the snow is finally gone from around here...just the spots were it was piled up high or sits in the shade all day. Hopefully the nice weather stays there for you too!!

Packs - The E is interesting. I'm just now getting used to it. I did a measly 17 minutes this morning but man it works muscles in your legs you're not used to using!! I may start to rotate between the treadmill and the E....haven't decided yet. It isn't a fancy one..got it off an infomercial..lol It is really quiet though.

Well back to work for me....CHOW CHICAS!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Chester- have you seen the Dominos commercial about the pizza lady saying we have 30 minutes and she says what are we gonna do we the other 28..I crack up everytime I see that, hubby is not amused :)...
Wow, you better hope he doesn't read this, best 3 minutes of you life and you calling him a little person too.....
(I know you weren't talking about him) Glad you think Mark's sob fest was justified, I think I am just over him crying...

Redsox--geez!! your harsh, you think Alli needs 15 pounds, and I don't see 10 for Mark either. I am glad you saw that with the touchy feely thing, everyone thinks I am a perv for thinking that, but I noticed it too...

Hey to everyone else...

Howdy. Where is everyone? Here's the damage for food today...

B - Mini bagel and spray butter (not sure on the calories for the bagel, but the butter has 0)
L - Sushi (lot's o' calories there - 650)
D - Lasagna (350) and broccoli (30)
Snack - 1 Snackwell's cookie (forgot to look up calories)

Sox - I'll have to get some Skinny Cow's next time I go to the store. Don't give up on the E just yet. I hated it at first. It was the most awkward feeling for a few weeks and I could only do it for a couple of minutes on level one. Now I LOVE it!

IM - I never watch commercials anymore because I fast forward through everything.

Off to count some sheep. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hi Guys!!! Well I'm glad to see that everyone pretty much had a good day, sorry this is so late but I had to work the late shift at the hospital. Anyway this was my breakdown of the day:

Breakfast- Mutigrain Cheerios with skim milk and a glass of cranberry juice
Lunch- Tuna in a whole wheat pita with lettuce, tomato, and american cheese, and water.
Snack- Carrot sticks and low fat ranch dip, and of course water.
Dinner- Large salad with grilled chicken and poppy seed dressing, and water.
Desert- almonds and a diet coke.

IM- did you get the rasin bran in this morning?? For some reason breakfast has always been the most difficult meal of the day for me. I know they say it is the most important but sometimes I just can't eat that early.

Packs- So I take it you live in Florida, are you in Orlando?? You never had the big wedding huh? I really didn't want a big wedding at first, I really wanted something small and intimate but then I saw how much my mom was getting involved and she is just so excited and I figured what the heck it will give us something to do together. You know mother daughter time, not to mention the fact that I am the only girl in the family and my dad really wants it to be a special day. I'm so excited it is going to happen next may and there is so much to do.

Sox- So did you notice that I'm not using all Caps?? (ha ha ha) And yes I did take it as a joke. I'm going to try your suggestion on the snacks during the day, I just really don't get that hungry in between meals, but I see what you are saying about the metabolism needing fuel to burn. Thanks for the advise.

Liz- I know I just joined but I wanted to say I'm sorry you weren't feeling to well for a while, nothing serious I hope. Glad to hear your doing better. And I have a passion for Disney World, I just feel like a little kid when I'm there, what other place can you walk around with mouse ears on your head and just fit in??

Chester-So whats up with the Diet Sunkist and Coke Zero? We all have things we love, mine is DIet Coke, but I have cut down alot. I only allow it twice a week unless it is my TOM then that is a completely different story. So where are you guys going to stay when you go to Disney? Last year when I was there we stayed at the Polynesian Resort, it was so nice and they have a Lauou Dinner Show right there. I've only stayed at a few resorts there and so far the Polynesian is my favorite.

40- Where's 40?? Any one heard from her?? May be she had school or work today. Oh well I guess I will catch up with you tomorrow.

Ok guys well its very late now, I didn't get home from work until 1:30 am and it is now 2:36am so off to be I go. Good night sleep tight and don't let those bed bugs bite. See ya tomorrow or actually later today i guess.

Good Morning All!

Today's weigh in is 143. That's 3 down from Monday's 146 at the weigh loss clinic (WLC). But I think it has more to do with TOM leaving, at home I can weigh in with my birthday suit on, and we didn't go out to eat once this week. I'm still not changing my ticker till it's under what it currently says.

Today I'm taking Macho Man's blanket over to my friends house so she can fix it for me. The kid goes everywhere with his blanket. It got to the point that I had to start rolling it up and putting a giant rubber band around it so he wouldn't trip over it. It's falling apart and I can't find another one like it anywhere. We ordered it off of EBay with his bedding set, and I'm not about to buy the entire thing again just to get another blanket. We've tried to give him one that looked similar, but he wouldn't take it. The other night I threw it in the wash while we were eating dinner and I forgot to put it in the dryer. I laid he down and he screamed the entire time it was drying till he got it back. Then he stopped and went right to sleep. She's going to cut it in half and then take one of the halves and cut it in half again making one big piece for sleeping and two smaller pieces for carrying around. Gee wiz!

I won't be checking in with you guys tomorrow because I'm going with my BFF to do a jewelry show in Savannah. Yes, she drives all the way from NC to do a one day show there the first Saturday of every month. We're leaving at the crack of dawn to drive down there and be set up by 9. I'm going to try and pack some snacks (I wish Mark from the BL was here to make my snack bag for me like he did before their flight.) We normally don't even have time to sit down and eat, which is good, but not so good. We normally have to grab some junk food that we can pop in our mouths really quickly. So I'm going to try and be prepared.

Disney - I limit my Diet soda intake to one a day. It's so funny... I'll open a can in the morning and take a sip here and there throughout the day. That way I feel like I'm drinking a soda all day. It's a mind game. We're staying at the Animal Kingdom Resort and have the Sahara Room that looks out at the animals. It says that the animals can come up to 30 feet from your balcony. I'm sure the kids will love it. I actually need to call them and finishing paying for all of our reservations. You have till 45 days before to do it and I was waiting till the last minute to make sure things didn't change with hubby or our move. We're also going to the Luau (sp) Show that you mentioned. When I find my itinerary I'll let you know all the places we're going.

The little people are up... Let the midget wrestling begin.

Have a skinny day!

Morning ladies!!!!

Ooops.....I forgot to weigh myself this morning....guess i'll have to do it tomorrow am and post it on monday. We are off at 7am and heading to Springfield, Ma for the last cheer tournament of the season. It is a two day affair so we are staying over on Saturday night. I'll be packing my bowl of cereal and some snacks.

According to my nutritionist, drinking diet coke isn't a bad thing big picture wise. Ya it has sodium in it and if you drink the regular one it has caffeine that can affect your appetite, but her biggest thing was that it is zero calories and wasn't the issue that I was heavy..lol. So ya it is better to drink water over diet coke, but have a couple of diet drinks, especially de-caf isn't the end of the world...especially if you find it a treat to drink. I still drink too many of them and not enough agua but at least it is ZERO calories and decaf too.

Chester - I remember when my son had his blanket he took everywhere and slept with his binki too ($over 3,500 in braces right now that he is 13 btw...lol) when his blanky got straggly we bought an EXACT replica of it and he wouldn't switch it..lol. So we took him out back...made a fire in the pit and just took the blanket from out of his arms and tossed it into the fire with his binki's too. We just left him there on the ground freaking out for two hours till he passed out from exhaustion. A week or two of sleepless nights and he was fine.

I am getting used to the E...up to 19 minutes today and the sweat is starting to really form so I'm sticking with it. I'm just afraid to ruin it as I'm still a few pounds over its reccomended weight limit. lol

Oh ya....I was totally kidding about the whole throwing the blanket in the fire thing..:D but the new identical blanket being rejected part was true!! and the braces part too...don't know why I threw that in...I don't even know if Macho uses a binki..lol but they were a package deal back then..lol. Seeing I'm talking of the stupid binki's...when he was about 3 we finally decided they had to go....so we boiled them in vinegar and left them lying around. He picked up the first one and spit it out...then the next one and the next one. We had told him that once he was big enough not to need one his body wouldn't like it anymore..so he figured it was that time..lol. He woke up a few times that night..but after a couple of nights he was fine..lol The things we remember vividly from when they were little..lol.

Disney - Thanks for the lower case writing...I appreciate it!! I haven't been to disney since my ill fated honeymoon with my ex..lol. We were there 2 days after MGM opened...a lot of the stuff wasn't even operational then. Had a special gold ticket from it though..lol. I hope you find the snacks help!! Eating breakfast should...so good job with that!! I assume you're exercising too...because just eating right won't make that big a difference without exercise. Your body needs BOTH to properly lose weight and more importantly keep it off.

IM - I wasn't being harsh with what I said Alli and Mark could lose...what I meant is I can't see them being able to drop more then that by the finals..not that they needed to! But alli is short and 149 is still a bit high for her height...but she is darn close to her ideal weight...more toning left for her then just weight loss. you're right on with the touchy feely stuff and glances...not that they are doing anything mind you...but it is natural to become attracted to someone when you are together that much outsaide of your home enviroment. I'm sure they aren't acting on it...but it is there..lol.

well back to work for me!!

Drum roll please...140.8. Much better. 2.8 to go!! Supposed to go to the diet Doc soon. Daughter wants to go today. I am not going to weigh less there than last month. He's going to want to change my phen. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try something different.

Menu for yesterday:
B-protein shake
S-1/2 c brown rice;1/2 c green bean
L-Triscuits (7);fiber one cereal(21/2 c);skim milk
D-salad w/LF dressing, mango
S-PB&J on WW bread;2 T chocolate frosting:eek:

total 1672

Chester, good luck with your eating this weekend. I always have a hard time when out of my environment. WTG on the loss. We are going to get there!

Thanks for the feel better. I started taking glucosamine again. It helped my knee a couple of years ago. Takes about thirty days so we'll see.

Disney, thanks on the feel good! Where a kid (and grownups too) can be a kid.:)

Mark, we've been getting rain, but the temperature has been 60-70's. I'll send these temps your way.It is getting so green here. I love this time of year. I am going to check out your pictures in the old thread right after I get this posted.

Have a great day!

Hello All! This week has been CRAZY!!!! I have been away from home so much! Oh, before I forget... weight this morning was 161.6 - hoping to see the 150's next friday!
Does anyone else find it hard to remember to eat? I swear when I am on this phen my energy level is flying high and I literally forget to eat. I had a coffee this morning and it just dawned on me while I was sitting here that I haven't eaten today. I know that is horrible...
LZ, great job on the weightloss - you'll be there soon again! I hate being on steroids, makes me hungry and I blow up like a cow!
Chester, I commented you on myspace with the info you wanted;) I was cracking up reading about your mattress mambo! And I totally understand about the blanket thing - just give him time though - he will get better. My daughter was the same way. Her blanket was actually one that my mom made me when she was pregnant with me. My mom tried to make another one for Ash when she was 2 because we lost the other one for awhile. Looked identical, but Ash knew. They ALWAYS know. You could get him the same exact one, but he will know it's not his blanket. She still sleeps with it at night and she is almost 5! I swear she will take it to college with her and all that will be left is a string!
Sox, that is funny about boiling the binks in vinegar. I have never heard of that but what a GREAT idea! Colton loves his binks, so one day I will have to do that with him! Keep up with the E. It is a love/hate relationship. I use to be a treadmil junkie too, but when I made myself do the E is when I really started noticing my body changing - it burns almost double the calories too! I never thought at the beginning that I would last 30 minutes - now I am up to 45!
Disney, I live close to Tampa. I don't like the area that I do live in because it is about 45 minutes from Tampa in old folks land. Hubby has been putting in applications everywhere so I am hoping that we get to move soon. I would love to live in the carolina's - but at this point I will go wherever the money takes us. I am ready for a change though.
Im, I LOVE that Dominos commercial - cracks me up every time! Now I will be thinking of Chester every time it comes on! The toe will take a while. It is slow to heal because you are always working it. It really ****s, I know. I think I would rather have my arm broke than my stinkin toe! It will get better though. Mine is perfect now! Okay, I am so knocking on wood!
I need to get off of here and eat something or Mark will chew me out!

Chester- we had a sippy cup issue with my daughter, actually just the lid. She had to have it up to her mouth to sleep. I was afraid it was going to ruin her teeth!! So we packaged them up and sent them to the North Pole to baby Rudolph and that was the end of it, she does however still have her animals that she carried around on her bed. I was gonna suggest cutting it apart, but you already got that.

Went to the gym, haven't eat yet...bad bad...

Marc- I was sitting here with my mouth open reading your post!! You are SOOOO BADDD!!!

Disney- cute boyfriend ;)

All is well so far with the blanket. He seemed a little confused as to why he had so many when we were leaving. I hope he'll take to the smaller ones for carrying around. We'll see.

Redsox - You had me laughing when you said you threw them in the fire. I was like, wow, that's some tough love. I loved the binki idea. I'll have to remember that when the time comes. With my daughter I bought a few of the smaller size binkis and that freaked her out. She was done with it after a few weeks. My mom was visiting at that time and I think she just collected them up one day and told her they were too small for her and the shrunk down to nothing. Whatever works.

How tall is Ally? I'm 5'1 and "they" say that I should weigh around 117-123. I haven't seen those days since Jr. High. Not sure if I can get that low and maintain it. I'd love to though. With rippling muscles!

LZ - Congrats on your loss. I'm sure you doctor will understand the weight difference when you tell him about the medicine you were just on. He may let you slid another month or so.

Packs - Way to go on your loss. I find it hard to remember to eat, but I think it has to do more with me being ADD then it does with the Phen. I'll get ready to eat and then think of something I was supposed to do, go do that, and then forget about my food sitting there. Like now, it's almost 2 and I'm getting ready to eat lunch. I had to sweep and mop first. Why? Who knows!

IM - That was cute. It's so funny the drastic measures/lies we have to resort to.

I better eat lunch before I die of hunger. See, ADD. Now after sweeping and mopping I should have sat down to eat, but I came here instead. :p

Hey All!
Sorry I didn't post yesterday and am way late today. Yesterday my internet was down..I've have brief moments of hope then nada. I live in an older historic distric and they have decided to clear the woods in front of my house and make a new development. They claim the new construction isn't the cause of disruptions in water, electric, cable. I don't mind the dust, hammers, and trucks as much as the electric and water going out diuring dinner or a load of laundry.

The other part of my days has been spent at work. Unfortunately we have too many patients, and not enough staff or beds to accomodate. Long days and long nights are just a given. But the overtime check is very nice. =) Honey doesn't mind too much since it's extra video playing, pizza ordering...whatever men do when we aren't at home time.

I've been good today!
Breakfast I had a bowl of apple cin oatmeal and milk.
Lunch was a small salad, ham and cheese sandwich with fat free mayo
Dinner was egg drop soup, mixed vegatbles, and a half a cup white rice.
I am trying to give up caffiene, my power punch of Coca Cola. I have gone from a 2 liter to a 12 oz can. Unfortunately by mid morning I have a nagging headache that steadily grows until bedtime. has anyone else had this problem? Anything that may help?

Okay catch up time :

Disney : Welcome to the group! I'm a newbie too and everyone has been wonderful at making me feel a part of the group. Congrats on the engament and up coming wedding. I'm sure it will be more magical than you could ever imagine. Have you started dress shopping? I'm actually pretty excited about the possibilty of actually wearing my dream dress. I had been fearing having to settle for a dress just because it was made in my size.

Sox : Thank you for so much encouragement. It is hard to look in the mirror, and actually see what I should, or what others see. Right now I see someone who hasn't taken the time to take care of herself, with rolls like hula hoops. But you are right you have to love yourself enough to make the change. It's hard to make a lasting change, but I do believe that every day I try, everyday I make a small adjustment, each day it will become easier. Eventually a healthy weight and lifestyle will be rountine.
Congrats on your engagement also. You have a full house! Big wedding plans?

Chester: Finding clothes has always been a challenge. They need size SWH (short wide hips). I have found that they majority of petite clothing is fashioned for the over 60 crowd or is very overpriced. I really don't tailor my clothes, I know I should. Jeans just drag, and I wear around four inch heels at work to keep my pants from dragging. Co workers are shocked to discover I'm so short when I bounce in wearing flops. I just get fustrated shopping to the point I really don't enjoy it. I can shop an entire day and find one thing that fits. Have you found any stores that work?

LZ : I dream of seeing 140! Congrats! I think I would dance around naked for at least 30 minutes!

Packs: Sunny Florida! I have old folks, Jerry Falwell, and snow...wanna trade? I would love to make it to Disney one day. I'm trying to convince my honey to take a vacation to Florida. I may win. =) Just seems like there would always be a ton of things to see and places to go. Do you have family in the Carolinas?

Well I hope I didn't miss anyone and hopefully i'll be back up to speed with the group tomorrow. Now I'm gonna curl up and tuck in. Goodnight!

Another late night at the hospital, I swear, I'm so happy I have the weekend off. This might sound a little corney but when I get home at night after I say hi to the fiance and the puppy and take a shower and get something to eat, coming on to this site and seeing how all of you have been doing is one of the highlights to my evening. So today was another busy busy day at work but I had just enough time to shovel some food into my mouth at times.

Breakfast- Unfortunately did not have today
Lunch- Bowl of Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup, rice cakes, and water.
Snack- Apple, low fat yogurt and water.
Dinner- Meat loaf, roasted carrots, brown rice, and iced tea.

I love my job I really do but I must say that on days that I work 12 hour shifts I find it very hard to eat. It's an Emergency Room so it's not like I can really take a break because the people just keep coming. So eating there is more like taking a bite here and there, but I have learned that you can only reheat food so many times until it is just not edible any more. (ha ha ha).

Ok on to you guys-

Chester- The whole blanket thing is so cute, I remember having one when I was little, I also remember my mom buying replica ones and trying to pawn it off on to me but kids know. I think it has to do more with the smell and feel of the older blankets, I mean the new ones are stiffer and smell new its strange to them. But sooo cute. Congrats on the three pounds!!

Sox- Oh my goodness you really scared me with the whole fire thing, I was thinking damn they must have really wanted to get rid of the stupid blanket and binki. Glad to see you were joking..... Yeah I do excercise as much as I can, its a little tough on the 12 hour shift days but I think running in the ER counts for something too. I'm actually in the process of looking to buy a Eliptical. I've heard really good things about them, what do you think?? You like it??

LZ- Congrats on the weight loss your doing great!! Where are you from with such warm weather?? Where ever it is I wish I was there I'm tired of the cold.

Packs- I find it hard to remember to eat sometimes too, I mean I have every intention on eating but with not really being that hungry anymore I guess I don't think about it so much and then when I get busy I really don't think about it. What a coincidense (sp) my fiance and I are looking to move to North Carolina after I finish school and we get married. We've actually started looking in the Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh areas so far. Its a lot cheaper than where we are now, and warmer and there has always been something about the south that I have found very appealing. We'll see, just talking about it makes me want it to happen sooner.

IM- The sending the blanket and binki to the North Pole idea is adorable, and very clever I might add. Oh and thanks, I think my fiance is pretty good looking too but shhh don't tell him that I wouldn't want it to go to his head....Just kidding he knows he's georgous!!!!!

40- Thanks for the Welcome it's great to be here. I see you are from VA, my fianc has family there, we go every thanksgiving and once in the summer to visit. They are in Berryville I think it is close to Richmond. So when are you getting married?? Have you set a date??

I think that just about sums it up for tonight, hope I remembered to include everyone. Oh and tomorrow is my weigh in at the Docs, I have a 10:30 am appointment so I will let you know how I make out when I get back. Wish me luck!!!

Good Morning everyone!
Okay, so I made it back to the gym, going regularly... and guess what? TWO kids are sick now! I swear, that place must just hate me - it is always sabotaging me. Yesterday Ashlyn comes and tells me that Colton farted everywhere. I was thinking "What?" Thank goodness I came to see what farted everywhere meant. Poo - everywhere. Had to stick him in the tub. Well, that was the day. He ate, he drank, straight water shot outta his butt. Fever started, then the croupy cough again. AUGH! So, I started him on the predisone, the BRAT diet and pedialyte. I am hoping he will feel better today. Then Michaela wakes me up last night with an upset stomach, fever, and sore throat - I thought I already did the flu thing? What in the heck is this. I just gave her a sprite to sip and some crackers... AUGH! I swear my kids are sick more than they are healthy!
I am still not eating enough. I had a tuna wrap and one slice of pizza yesterday:( I swear, I am just not hungry - and I am constantly buzzing around and forget to eat. I have got to get a handle on this or my metabolism is going to slow down to zero!

Disney, I can't imagine working 12 hour shifts. I use to do it in my younger years (shutup Mark) but now I think I would drop dead! I guess if you are kept busy it goes by pretty fast. We are looking at the Charlotte area. Also Rock Hill, which is actually South Carolina, but right at the border. I do have relatives in NC, but we aren't that close - we may get that way when we move though. I am from WV, hubby is from FL, so halfway would be good. I want my seasons again, but not hard seasons. I want the mountains and the beach - and of course cheaper cost of living!

40. glad to see you here! I was afraid Mean Mark scared you off (kidding Mark). I would love to go wedding dress shopping - can I come;) I don't think I would be too happy if they were cutting down woods in front of my house to build. Did someone forget to tell all these builders that the real estate market blows? I understand on the caffene thing. I miss it. I still have a coffee in the morning and every once in a blue moon a diet coke. But I have been reading studies that have shown that the artificial sweetener in the diet drinks will make you crave more food and more sugar. So, I really try to stay away from it totally. All I can say is that you have to go trhu the bad to reach the good - your body has to go thru a kinda detox phaze - it will get easier.

Chester, are you sure you don't have anxiety? You sound so much like me that it isn't funny. That is why I buzz around, not because I can't sit still because things will drive me insane if they don't get done. Stinks... really stinks... Glad Macho is doing well with the blanket thing. So CUTE!

HI IM!!!!!:D

Im, well Colton isn't having any more runs... just really fussy and gassy. Michaela is still fevered with the throat and stomach thing. ****s huh? I was finally feeling like I had my life back.

On the positive, I did get a good wog in today, and I did lunges, tricept dips and crunches... feeling good about that... :D

Hi Guys!!!! So I had my weigh in at the doc this morning, I lost 5 more lbs bringing me to a total of 15lbs in 3 weeks. I'm happy with that, but I think I need to exercise more. I get real frusterated with not being able to excercise a little everyday, but its not really possible when working 12-12. I mean by the time I get home its almost 1am and I get my lunch and dinner ready for the next day, Iron my uniform and got to bed. When I get up I have just enough time to eat breakfast, take my meds, take a shower, feed the dog, pack my bag and then I'm off again. Ok I know, I know enough with the exuses....... ok on to my menu of the day.

Breakfast- I skipped because of weigh in this morning
Lunch- Tuna on whole wheat, and water
Dinner- Two slices of pizza, and water
Snack- Granola bar, orange, and water

Packs- I hope the kids feel better soon, I know it stinks when little ones are sick not only for them but for you too. They seem to only want mommy when they feel crummy. So your looking in the Charlotte area huh? Us too, we've never been there but we are planning on taking a few vacations around that area to see what we like. Do they still have winters in NC??
Chester- So how is the little guy coping with his blanket being in peices?? I bet he is always carrying the big peice. Its a security thing, when you or daddy aren't there his blankie is, and his blankie is also there when he sleeps right??
Sox- I went to the doc today and he was looking over my food journal and kept telling me that if I have juice in the morning wih breakfast not to have fruit as a snack in the afternoon. Why is that?? I thought that the fruit would be a healthy snack.
IM- Hi I hope all is well with you. How old are your kids?? You were talking about a sippy cup before so I just figured you have a little one too.
40- When I read that you had egg drop soup the other night I started to crave chinese food real bad. As a matter of fack I think I'm still craving it, have you ever had a craving for something so bad but you don't know what it is your craving?? I think I'm having one of those, Ugggg I hate that.

Well have a good night everyone, we rented movies from blockbuster tonight and I think I might pop some popcorn. Mmmmmmm that sounds good.... Good thing I bought the light kind.

Disney my kids are 11 and 3. I will tell you, if you have a craving, you better eat it. Just be sure to eat a smaller ammount. I find that if I don't eat what I want, I tend to eat more in the long run of other things trying to satisfy the craving.

I couldn't agree more with ya on that one Im! If you let a craving continue than you will just bindge later. I had bought 3 boxes of girl scout cookies ions ago - well they finally came. So I took them to a mom's club meetup and passed them around - and then left them when I left. I had 2 cookies - about 150 calories. I satisfied the craving, but made sure to do away with all the cookies because my willpower stinks. I was pretty proud of myself for that though. And this morning my hubby went and got dunkin donuts. He said "your ususal?" which is one cake donut and one maple iced. I said "no, just the cake will be fine" - so I had my donut but cut the serving size and I am happy, satisified, and still proud of myself too. If you keep yourself from everything you enjoy than eventually you will induldge too much... it's all about serving size and moteration.... okay... off my soap box!:o

Yeah I think you guys are right about the craving thing, I still feel like I'm craving something but I honestly don't know what it is. I'm not going crazy to figure it out either, but I know that nothing I have eaten so far has satisfied it. Oh well so the whole chinese food thing is still sounding good, may be that's it, maybe I'm craving some chinese food. Ok so my next night off is Wed and I have decided that we are going to get Chinese, my fiance is so excited he actually said "You mean it really we can have real food??" I had to laugh he has been such a good sport with all the healthy food in the house.

I have noticed something though, for starters with all the water I'm drinking I can definitley say it does work. Sometimes when I finish peeing it feels like I still have to go though, its weird. And I'm just starting to get used to getting up at least twice a night to use the bathroom. I told my fiance that I hope I don't have an accident while I'm sleeping because I'm not used to going this much, he just gave me the "You better not" look.

Oh yeah I almost forgot.....The other night we rented a coulple of movies from BlockBuster and we were sitting on the couch watching them. My fiance was cuddling with me and holding my hand, sometimes he twists my engagement ring around on my finger when he's holding my hand and he gets fidgetty. He said how come your ring is so loose? I hadn't noticed it before but he is right it slides around on its own now, I don't even have to turn it. That's great huh??? I just hope it doesn't slip off... Ok well Goodnight Guys.

Where is everyone! It's MONDAY! Exciting day huh? HA!

I still have 2 sick kids and now a sick hubby! My throat is sore too, but who cares about momma not feeling well:( 9 more minutes and I get to call the Dr about 100 times before I can get through. Also have to take the car in at 1:30 for an oil change. And I have to get a science fair project done this week! And yes, I say "I" , cause trust me, it is alot more work for the parents then it is for the child!

Did I tell ya'll that I went shopping Saturday for a cute dress to wear next weekend when my friends and I go out? Guess where I got it? The JUNIOR section. Uh huh. That's right, and it isn't even an XL - it's a L, and I think I could even go smaller than that if it wasn't for my boobs! I feel like I look really cute in it too. I will have to post some pictures after this weekend. Of couse, I always think I look okay and then I see myself in pictures and I think "Wow, I've still got a ways to go". Hubby and I also decided this weekend that next summer is when I head under the knife. He admitted that he is glad that I want to have the surgery - that he would never ask me to, but is glad that I want to. Oh to catch you newbies up, I want to go in for a full tummy tuck, breast reduction with implants. My extra skin on the stomach is more than awful. After three kids and over 100 pounds gained and lost the skin is awful. And the boobs, well we've had this discussion before - let's just say thank God for bras!

Okay, so last night I had some bread with butter and mashed potatoes with my grilled chicken. I didn't eat alot - but still not the best food choices. I didn't gain though - which is a great thing. I am hoping that I will be able to go to the gym or take a wog today... depends on hubby's mood I guess cause I can't take sick kids to the gym!

Disney, my ring is WAY big now. I am actually scared that I will lose it. You may want to not drink as much water closer to bedtime - you need good sleep too ya know:)

Morning ladies!!!!

Quicky post as it is a busy morning for me!!

Finacee was sick with the stomach bug on Friday so I had to run home early to run step daughter to her manditory cheer practice before the competition this past weekend. got back at 9pm and the R/E agent swung by and we put a bid on a house and found out on Saturdya that they took our first offer!!! So now we have to wait and make sure their bank will eat part of their mortgage as they were upside down (ie owe more then they are getting) both R/E agents think the bak will do so so who knows. It could take a good 60 plus days till we finally get to close so plenty of time for things to blow up on us...but at least we don't have to keep looking. so keep your fingers crossed. Funny thing is it is in the neighborhood I grew up in and my kids live...not sure if their mom will like that part..lmao!!

Went to the cheer competition and did fairly well eating...brought my cereal for breakfast and everything. We go away this coming weekend as well for my son's first baseball tournament with his AAU team....so more trying to eat right on the road....though I think the room had a fridge..so I can bring healthy stuff with me for lunches etc...

I hope everyone who is sick or has sick kids and spouses gets better!! Enough with the illnesses!!

I'll try to pop back on later!!

Hey guys! Our show on Saturday was terrible. It was drizzling rain for most of the morning, then around 1 it was like the sky opened up on us and let us have it. It takes about 3 hours to set up and clean up her booth. We were rushing as fast as we could, but it's even harder when you're being pounded by rain. Then the sirens started going off. I was like great, now I'm going to die. Luckily we made it out alive though. I ate like if I was going to die though. I don't even want to write it down because you all would kill me if my arteries don't do it first.

Macho is taking fine to his blanket, although he still carries the larger one as well. Ms. Thang fell off her bike yesterday and sliced her right eyebrow open making for a nice 4 hour visit to the ER. She got the liquid stitches luckily. In 15 months I never had an accident with either kid. Hubby's home for 2 weeks, ER visit.

Today I'm cleaning and doing laundry. I swear, is there anything else in life? If so, I must be missing it. With all the laundry we do, you would think that we change our clothes 3 or 4 times a day.

I'm back on the wagon today with eating and exercising! Promise!!!!

40 - All I wear is pants (don't own shorts, and no need for dresses) so I have to have everything hemmed. It's just a part of life for me. This winter I bought a few new jackets and I had to have the arms taken in as well. What I wouldn't give to be a few inches taller!

Disney & 40 - You guys work some crazy hours! Hats off to you ladies! If I worked like that, I would be in the ER myself with a broken nose for telling someone off and getting socked for doing so. :p My patience level starts to dwindle the moment I get out of bed. It's sad!

Disney & Packs - Yep, we still have winters in NC. Nothing too major, but enough to break out the jackets, hats and gloves. We got a light snow this year for one day only. The Charlotte area is nice. Not as beautiful and happening as my neck of the woods (Can you sense the sarcasm?)

Packs - WTH? Tell the people at the Y to start disinfecting things a little more often. That's crazy! Sorry to hear they're sick again. Can't wait to see pics in the new dress. Exciting stuff. I'm so getting nipped and tucked and lifted when I hit my goal weight. I'm a big bowl of jello with utters like Jay's on the Biggest Loser. What would I do without my "Over the shoulder boulder holder?"

IM - Sick kids too?! I feel so bad for you guys. I'm crossing my fingers that mine don't get anything now. How's school going?

Red - Congrats on the house. I hope it all works out. That's funny that you'll be in the same neighborhood as the Ex. Do you guys get along? That's nice that you'll be closer to your kids and much easier on all of you. Well, maybe not their mom, but oh well.

I better get a move on. I'll be back in a bit.

Im, hubby is totally for it. He is worried though - not about the boob operation, but the tummy tuck. He just saw how much pain I was in after a c-section - and this is a lot worse than that. You can't sleep laying flat for 4 weeks, can't lift anything heavy for 4 weeks, the swelling can take up to a year to go down... but, I really believe it will be worth it in the end. I figure a good 8 weeks of difficulty, but a lifetime of nice abs!;)

I had a friend that had it done, and she went back to work like 2 days later. She did get an infection on her tummy tuck but nothing major, she wasn't swelled more than a couple of days though..HOLY SH IT and year!! Now that would be my luck for sure. I don't think I will make enough money in my lifetime to get everything I want nipped and tucked

I know most people hate Mondays...I love them! It is one of my days off. Today has been spent taking care of a sick honey, something bad is making its way around. I hope everyone feels better soon.

Disney it seems like we are in the same boat. I've switched from 12's to four 8's, although it's not unusal for a 8 to become a 12, or 12 to become a 16. Just seems unpredicatble with patient flow this time of year. I work mostly second shift, for school, and days the rest. I've been double backing ( off at 11:30 pm, back at 6:00 am) so that should help explain the lack of participation this weekend.

No big wedding planned. It is my second, and my honey is 8 years older. We've decided to do a planned "elopement". It will be just the two of us at a Sandals resort in St. Lucia. I still get to have the dress, the flowers, the cake....our parents are teaming up to throw a small reception when we get back. It just makes since for us, with the mortage, cars, me in school, we just don't have the money to do a wedding and a honeymoon....so we are combining. Packs: lets go! So much to get dress, shoes, jewerly.....As for a date we are planning for March...could be sooner or later depending on the best travel deals.

I see no reason not to have plastic surgery after having worked so hard to loose weight and be healthy. My honey has agreed that if I maintain my goal weight for a year he will spring for new boobs. I believe I have lost the majority of mine. Bras don't fit and my shirts have boob sag where they were once filled out. I say if it makes you happy, is safe, doing it for the right reasons....go for it!

The past few days have been a blur. I can honestly say I haven't eaten much. i've been so busy that I'm not hungry and forget. i know it is not good. I do keep a water jug on my desk...but that doesn't count for food. Today I've pigged out:

One strawberry pancake and ham from Ihop : complete with sweet tea
Chili and potato from Wendys....coke and junior frosty

The headaches are getting better. One of the docs told me to take a mag supplement. Seems to be working some....but I think I'm gonna have to grin through the withdrawl. Trying not to pop advil like tic tacs...

Sorry so long. This week should be easier to keep up =)

Todays Breakdown-

Breakfast-Multigrain Cheerios, and water
Lunch- Turkey sandwich, water
Dinner- Crab scampi over pasta, water
Snack- Orange, grapes, mixed nuts, and water

Water, water, and more water......I feel like my insides are swimming. Don't get me wrong I love water, it has to be ice cold though, I have no problem at all getting it all down on days that I'm at work because I run around so much there that I'm always thirsty. But on days that I'm home I just can't seem to drink as much, I try but there is so much house work to do and errans to run that I just don't seem to get it all in. Oh well....tomorrow is another day right? Right.

Packs- Wow plastic surgery huh? I've always thought about that too, but I have to wait until after I have kids, no point in spending all that money if mybod is going to get all stretched out again. I definitley want to see the pics of the dress, and oh my god you got it in the Jr's section. That is so awesome, good for you. So where are you and your friends going???
IM- Good luck with the paper you have to write, what are you going to school for? I took this semester off, but I will be starting again in the fall, right now I am working full time. I was thinking about taking a summer course, but Naahh I think I want to enjoy this summer before I start my clinical studies, because once you start those there are no breaks until the end.
Chester- So you are in NC huh? That is wonderful, what part? I want to find a part of NC that is a little on the country side, but no in the boon docks if you know what I mean. We are not real big into city life, but want stores close enough to go shopping. I would like to be close enough to the beach to be able to spend a weekend here and there. Do you know where Greensboro is?? What do you think an ideal place for us would be? We are planning a couple of vacations over the next two years to visit different places and see what we like. Any suggestions would be great.
40- What ever happen to your nickname "Wonka"? I guess it just didn't stick. So you are in Nursing school? How far along are you? I can definitley realate to the long odd hours of working in a hospital, I like it and hate it at the same time, you know what I mean? I think a small wedding is the way to go, and I would have mine that way too, but my parents have had their hearts set on their only daughters first wedding being a big deal. I guess I don't really mind as long as we have some say in what goes on. Where are you planning on eloping at?
Sox- Haven't heard too much from you lately, hope all is well with you and the family. Can't wait to hear how the house purchase goes. Was it a foclosure home?

Well I'm going to eat dinner now, will be back in a little bit.......

Disney : I'm studying to be a RT...I know it's gross, but I really enjoy it. Mom was pushing me towards nursing school instead (she's a nurse) but it's really not for me. I should graduate next May. Are you going to Nursing School? I love big weddings, and I can completely understand wanting to have one. My mom would have been crushed if she didn't have the chance to be "Mother of the Bride".

IM : What are you studying? I really don't know how some women do it : kids, school, house, work. I couldn't imagine trying to study or write a paper with little people...I would be beyond distracted. I had to get an automatic feeder for the dog, and luckily honey can take care of himself. Laundry is piled to the ceiling and the house has the bare minimum in cleaning.

Chester: Where are you stationed? My dad was Airforce so we spent 5 years at Seymor Johnson in Goldsboro. It was always an adjustment period when dad came back from overseas...wonderful but it always took some time to merge back into the family routine. I do miss the military lifestyle and the community...

Packs: I would love to bottle your energy for a day. Ohhh everything I could accomplish. =)

Sox : Congrats on the house! Everyone excited about the move? Unfortunately it seems there are alot of short sales. hopefully everything will go great with the bank. Great for buyers!

I'm being stared at so I guess I need to be starting dinner :

Whole Wheat California Pizza, salad, and strawberries!

Hey guys. Not too much happening over here. Hubby had the day off, but has been studying for his Jumpmaster Refresher test tomorrow. Here's the menu for today:

B - Special K cereal
L - Wheat thins (I know this doesn't count as lunch, but I wasn't really hungry)
Snack - banana
D- Tuna helper, green beans, and a slice of bread

Packs - No pain, no gain. I say go for it!

IM - The sirens were for a tornado warning.

LZ - Sorry your sick again. I hope it goes quickly!

Disney - I'm originally from FL, but moved here 8 years ago when hubby went into the Army. We are stationed at Ft. Bragg which is in Fayetteville. It's a typical military town, lots of bars, tattoo joints, alterations shops, and car dealerships. There's not much to do here, but luckily Raleigh is only an hour and a half away. I've been to Asheville a few times and that is really pretty. It's in the north west part of the state so it's not to close to the beach. I've been to Greensboro a few times as well and from what I remember it was nice. Wilmington is really nice. It has an older more historic feel and is close to the beach. I haven't been there since the kids were born (4 years ago) and we pretty much stayed in the downtown area and went bar hopping. The good ol' days.

40 aka Wonka - I love the military lifestyle also. I really don't have to leave Post for anything. We have grocery stores, the PX (which is like a Target), bowling alley's, movie theater, salons, 3 golf courses, gyms, ice skating rinks, riding stables, schools, and a million more things I can't think of off the top of my head.

Which leads me to my next dilema...
When we move, we are moving to a very small post out in the middle of no mans land. I've been debating on going back to work next school year, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to. Hubby says that I don't have to, but I'm starting to get cabin fever. Ms. Thang will start Kindergarten next year, and I would have to put Macho in daycare. They only have one school on post so my chances of getting in there are probably slim. That means I would either have to take Ms. Thang to school there, or take her with me wherever I get a job. And then for the moms out there, you know that when a kid gets sick, they call us first. Hubby can't leave work to go pick up sick kids or to stay out of work for however long it takes to get them healthy again. That would fall on me. Not that I mind taking care of my own children, but I don't want it to reflect poorly on my job performance. But boy would I love to get back out there again. Wearing sweats, a headband and no make up day after day is starting to make me look like a frumpy old hag. Decisions, decisions.

Well, I'm off to watch some TV. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.

Chester- I say if you can, stay out with him. I had to work with Caelan and I feel like because I have gotten to stay home with Connor we have bonded so much. You could put yourself on the sub list and that way you could control when you go in..

Disney and 40- I am an education major. k-6. It is challenging juggling all of it, but lucky for me hubby does most of the cooking and cleaning, he is too good to be true.. at least he is this week, next week I may be screaming divorce, Packs and I take turns bashing hubbies, I am sure Chester will jump in VERY soon ;)

I am out of Phen, going Wednesday but DREAD getting on the stupid scale :(

I wanted to be a smaller size before buying summer clothes, can't blame anyone but myself for that one...

I'm so freakin tired! I need SLEEP!!!!!!! I am sick of dealing with sick, whiny kids, I want my throat to stop hurting, I want hubby to get his ***** outta bed and help with something - anything! I want the scale to read 150something - and the da mn thing isn't budging. I want my to do list to dwindle. I want the science fair project to do itself.

Okay, thanks... I am done complaining....

Yesterday-
Brfst - coffee, don't remember eating or what I did eat
Lunch - I think I ate a banana - can't remember eating anything else
Dinner - 1/2 of a 1/2 sub on wheat bread, a handful of doritos

Goal today - to write down everything and try to take time for myself to eat!
I went for a powerwalk last night at 9 and then did arm weights and abs. It ****ed working out when I should have been getting ready for bed, but after taking care of everyone yesterday I couldn't fit it in during the day. I plan on heading to the Y to get in some time on the E when Colton lays down. Hubby doesn't know that yet, but at this point I truly don't care!

Chester, I am with Im. Stay home. You will regret it if you go back to work. These are years that you can't get back. You have the rest of your life to work out of the home. Macho will only be young once. Plus, you will want to be able to do things with Ms Thang in school. Trust me, there will be lots of parties and activities that she will want you there for and if you work you won't be able to be there.

Im, I am going to try to go to the Dr this week - sometime, and pray that I can get one more month. I already did that once, let's see if I can talk him into it again. I swear I will pull up my shirt and jiggle my belly at him! Good luck on the scale!

LZ, hope you feel better soon and come back to us!

40 - your wonka - LOL - RT? Respiratory Therapist? My friend just finished school and is working in that field now. She loves it. What is so gross about it? And I would love to have just a smidgin of my own energy today, I really need to sleep. How is that WW calif pizza? That's from the frozen section right? Is it good?

Disney, we are going to a place in Tampa called channelside. It is right on the bay and it has shops, bars and restaurants. It has a great atmosphere at night. It is party town, but not for the youngins - us older 20's and up. Ybor city is pretty famous, but I hate it cause it looks like a bunch of 16 year old hookers running around, and the fights are terrible. We will be going out to eat, probably at a mexican restaurant, and then we will go to "Howl at the Moon" which is a dueling piano bar - LOTS of fun, and then who knows after that! As long as you aren't hungry or dehyrdated, don't stress about the water levels you get when you are home! You are doing great! Keep up the good work!

Good morning.

I'm feeling much better, except no energy. No phen for two days besides being sick. I had 11/2 left and gave daughter the one and took the half. We are going to the doc today. I'm still not back to where I was even after the violent sickness I just had. I won't go into details, but I felt worse than I did when I was in labor! I was at 139.8 I think on my scale this morning...I just remember it was finally back under that 140.

I will stop short of begging for another month of phen. If he suggests me trying the bontril I will. I will not raise my shirt and jiggle my belly, LOL Afer all, what kind of example would tha be for my daughter. Pack you just really crack me up.

I am so sorry you cannot get your rest. I applaude your workout! Let me talk to that Doc of yours and tell him how dedicated you are. Hope the kiddos are better soon and that you don't get any of that mess.

Michele, I don't want to face that Doc scale either. Half the time he forgets I lost the 35 pounds before I ever came to him and I had to point it out. He has it noted on the chart but they put your start weight with them on the outside of the chart.

I too, have a wonderful Hubby TODAY. Although, mine does not clean at all. When I quit working, one of my goals was to keep this place so perfectly running to lessen his stress. LOL on that! Still working on that one.

Chester, I agree with the other ladies. Not only having the time with Maucho and for school events with Ms. Thang, but for yourself. I never could take the time to workout and eat healthy with that job in the way. I do regret not being able to go to daughter's elementary activities like I have been able to with son. the sub list sounds like a great idea.

Did you ever tell us who won the bet between you and Hubby????:D

Wonka, I was a nurse in my younger years. An LPN that ended up switching from BSN school to getting a history degree. I never could leave the patients at the hospital. There was a big nursing shortage in the late 80's and it was very stressful. I dreamed about the hospital constantly when I was not there. I can handle anything yucky except respiratory. It's a good thing we're not all alike:). Best wishes to you.

I really like the Wonka nickname.

Mondays are usually one of my favorite days to, but I am picking Tuesday this week!'

Mark, good luck on the house stuff. It is suppose to be a real buyer's market now.

I'll try to check in later. Have a great day.

Hey guys. I just put the little man down for his nap, so finally I have some time for myself. I should have gotten back on here last night to add my giant bowl of sherbet to my food list but I didn't. So far today I've had a banana and grapes for breakfast and a lunchable for lunch. Not the best menu so far, but just not in the mood to actually fix something to eat.

Tomorrow I go to the WLC for my weekly check-in. You can either go on Mondays or Wednesday for your weigh in and shots. I'm not looking forward to it, but I have to at least be down a pound from last week. I don't like going by their scales because it's normally a few hours after I've been up that I go and I have to weigh with clothes on. I'll let you know how it goes.

IM - Yep, I'm jumping in on the male bashing. Hubby brews a pot of coffee each morning. I guess he didn't push the pot in all the way so coffee was everywhere. All over the counter, on the floor and behind the refrigerator. He wiped off the counter but left the paper towels on it and didn't bother to clean the floor or behind the fridge. Granted, he was in a rush to get out of the house this morning, but still. Then I guess some was dripping from his cup because there was coffee drops all the way out the back door. Sure, I'll clean it up. I mean, what else do I have to do today?!

We can both dread the scale together tomorrow.

Packs - Sleep is so overrated! :p Just think of all the things you can get done since your up half the night. LOL! Really though, you need to try and squeeze some in when you can. That's another factor in weight loss (at least that's what I've heard). Hope the kids are doing better! You had me on the internet last night for over an hour looking up Mommy Makeovers. Now I just need to find a bank to rob. :)

LZ - Glad you're feeling a little better. That's nice of you to share your Phen with your daughter. How much is she looking to lose? I thought my house was going to be a smooth operating machine when I quit working. It some ways it is, and in others it's not. It's nice and clean when no one is here or Macho is taking a nap, but as soon as everyone is home, it's like a small hurricane came through the house. I'm cleaning constantly.

As far as the bet with hubby goes... Neither of us won. I was supposed to be at 140 and I think he wanted to be at 175. We both failed to meet our goal. And now we're both up a couple of pounds in the two weeks he's been home. I still held up my end of the deal by making a trip to Vicky's. I might as well be wearing footy pajamas though. I'm such a prude. Now he needs to step up with the cleaning part of the deal!

Howdy to everyone else. Hope your day is going well. I better hop on the E before the little motivation I have runs out the door.

Afternoon Ladies!!!

Yikes...so many posts I'll never catch back up!!!

AS far as the house issue goes we are now in the waiting mode. The bank is supposedly suppose to let them know if they are even interested in a short sale by the 18th. If they are then we have to wait for that whole process to go through. Once it hopefully does THEN we do the inspection, appraisal etc needed to close our loan and hopefully get handed the keys and move.....god how I hate to move!! I hope all the girls have boyfriends then so the can all come help move :p! so we are excited but it is tempered as there are still a million ways it can fall apart.

I think it was Chester who asked about the Ex...lol. We get along ok...but she is a control freak and tries to impose her will on me when it comes to the kids and that causes a few tense moments from time to time. Also she likes to cry poor and look for more money for the kids from time to time, even though I already pay close to 20% more then the original calculation called for...so that can cause some major headaches for me..with her and with the fiancee. I don't know how she'll feel about us living so close. I'm just worried my 17yr old daughter will have a fight with her mom and storm out of the house and come to my house. That won't go over well..lol. Can see a screaming battle between the Ex and the fiancee. Funny thing is they are both Cathy / Cathie so when I get married they'll really share the same name...heck same middle name too!! Mail man might be confused then..lmao!!

I have my son's first middle school baseball game today. I hope he gets to play..as he is one of 5 7th graders on the team and mostly 8th graders play. We shall see.

Oh ya...I had toast with peanut butter for breakfast, toast with peanut butter for snack and left over baked ziti for lunch with my fat free pudding snack.

I hope everyone is starting to feel better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the grindstone for me, so I can scoot early to go see the son's game!!

Oh ya....you guys are nuts with all your boob jobs and tummy tuck talk...lol. I hate fake boobs on a woman..they look so..FAKE!!! I'd rather saggy real ones then fake ones...but then again I won't really be seeing either from you guys so who am I to say...:D Just seems to be a whole lot of money wasted in my opinion. If you have a ton of flabby skin from losing a ton of weight I could understand that a bit...but the other stuff...nah!! must be a girl thing!! ;)

Hey Everyone! Hope it's been a good day so far. This will be a quickie, since I need to be getting ready for work....but don't wanna.

Breakfast : Slept through it...didn't get my sorry self outta bed until 9
Lunch : four cheese lean pocket , and a caff free diet pepsi
Dinner : I've packed talapia, green beans, and strawberries

Sox: You've lucked out with two women with the same name. I can't think about how many times I've called my honey my ex husband's name. Not on purpose...just slips somehow. Luckily he hasn't taken offense to it. Not many people could get along with the ex and move closer to them. Many props for wanting the best for the kids. Best of luck with the new home. I could see how it would be fustrating waiting in limbo, but hopefully it will go as smooth as possible. Moving...I loathe having to move. I moved in with my honey...only an hour away from my studio apartment...after packing, loading, etc...you would have thought I was moving across country.
Good luck to your son tonight!

Lz : I don't think there will ever be enough nurses. They keep adding on, and building new hospitals around me, but the patient load still exceeds the amount of beds. I dream about work alot, always the feeling that I've forgotten to do something, or set up something on the wrong patient, some days it's so crazy that I'm fearful I will make a mistake. With 5 nurses, 33 patients, 2 cnas. and 1 of me ( on a good day). Unfortunately our med/surg floor has become the pysch/detox/confused/combative/ med/surg....just craziness.

Packs: Feeling any better? I know it's gotta be hard taking care of everyone else when you need to rest too. hopefully you'll get some well deserved rest.

I feeling the hubby bashing. Some days he's wonderful...others you would think his a"" was glued to the computer chair...I'm talking 12 or more hours....I swear the house could fall down around, trash could be piled to the ceiling, he could have worn the same pair of boxer for a week....but raiding is top priority.....says he can't help because he doesn't know where things go....how hard is it to figure out where the plate goes? Dude, open the cabniet...put it on top of the others,,,,..open the drawer...see the other t-shirts, put it the others in there.....

Okay I vented...time for work...

sorry i didn't have a chance to get to everyone

Ok guys I know I'm a little late today but better late than never right? This has been a rotten, terrible, long day that I wish would just end already. I have been thinking long and hard lately about not going through with this wedding of mine. I know shocking right? Well don't get me wrong I love my fiance with all of my heart but something has got to give. We've been together for almost five years, and engaged for four of them. I always thought that he would grow up and mature more than he is, and focus on a career and everything. But none of that has happen yet, he is in a dead end job, I ask him what he is interested in for a career and he says the same thing every time "I don't know". So in the mean time I am busting me you know what to finish nursing school so that I can support him and a family that we will eventually have? I don't think so. I do the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry, work fulltime and go to school fulltime and I just can't take it anymore. On nights that I have off he usually doesn't stick around he usually goes over to his friend's house after dinner, and when he doesn't we sit and watch tv in silence. When I ask him what he's thinking about he says "nothing, I just don't have anything to talk about". I just don't know, there are qualities about him that I love but nothing is changing. He knows how I feel and just keeps telling me that things will get better and he will change but that never happens. Today I was so upset about all of this that I had to call out of work, and i never do that even when I'm sick.

ENOUGH VENTING.....

Breakfast- Multigrain Cheerios and water
Lunch- yogurt, water, apple
Dinner- Tuna sandwich, and water

Sorry I'm not going to everyone individually tonight, I'm just not in the mood to stay on the computer. I'm going to take a hot bath, put in a chic flick and go to bed. See you all tomorrow...... Thanks for understanding.

Good Morning!

Last night was eery...work was completely dead. I was so nice to catch a break. Gives everyone a chance to kick back, gab, and just relax a bit. Keeping fingers crossed we have another slow night.

Today I have a plan : I'm gonna find my sneakers, and use the Y membership. I used to love to go to the gym, and didn't feel complete until I went....then as I got busier, the couch seemed more appealing. I'm hoping if I make myself start going I'll start to enjoy it again.

Nothing too exciting happening. Haven't decided on breakfast but thinking the low fat yogurt with the m&m stir in. Found them at Wally World. Breyers...only 4 g fat 110 cal....if it involves chocolate it can't be all bad. =)

Sox: How did the game go? Your son get to play?

Disney : Hun, I really don't know what to say. You need to figure out what you need from the relationship, and if your needs are being met. Sometimes it's not about what job you have if you are happy and are making a decent living. I know you would like for him to have more ambition, but maybe he is scared and unsure about making a change. Talk to him about your goals, and the goals you'd like to achieve together. Do you have common interests? Is there something you can do together on your days off? My honey likes his alone time and it seems like we don't get but a few hours a week together with my schedule. We have a "date" night once a week...we both clean up, go to dinner. It isn't always fancy...pizza, burgers..but gives a chance to catch up outta the house. Just some ideas.

Well, I really rose to the name of the challenge yesterday.

B-fat free coffee creamer
L-@2:30 1/2 sonic burger w/must; <1/2 fries;<1/2 sonic blast
D-3 saltines;squash casserole.

Calories weren't too bad at 929. Fat was 36, a little high. I paid with indigestion last night. I will eat better today!

I was up 4/10 a pound at the diet Doc. (138 on his light scale)He didn't even blink when I told him I just got off the prednisone. Just wrote out me new script for 60, 37.5's.

40to lose, where is the Breyer's? Is it in the frozen section or in the dairy? That does sound good.

Wow, it sounds like you are in a difficult area at work. Good luck!

Mark, house deals are stressfull. You could have a new house for my birthday on the 18th! I hope everything goes smoothly.

I don't aspire to the fake boobs, but would love a tummy tuck. Not very likely to happen. I am older than most of the gals and Hubby doesn't care. Also, considering my height and the fact I've lost almost 50 pounds it doesn't look too bad. No stretch marks. I really don't think I care enough to go through the pain and expense. I'd rather put in a pool.:D

Disney, I hope things look better today. Relationships are difficult for sure.

Michele, I'll be watching for your billboards.LOL Good luck to you and Chester on those scales. We have to pay and pay again to get our phen.:p

Ok, I have got to accomplish something. Have a great day!

Hey guys, no Dr. for me today. I am sick again. I swear I used to never get sick, now I stay that way. I lost 4 pounds acccording to my scale. If it will just stay off.

Disney- If things are that way now, I would think it through, because as most on here can tell you annoying habits do not get better after you are married. Goals and career are serious issues. Think about it, you have your whole life to get married. Be sure before you do it.

Food today- Saltines, and they haven't stayed down. So technically I have eaten 0

Hello everyone, I'm going to make this short today because I have to get going to work in a bit. I just want to thank everyone for listening to my problems, it really helped me to get feed back from you guys. After both of us got home last night we sat down and had a very long talk, there were tears from both ends and we agreed that we do not want our relationship to end without a fight. We begin couples counceling next week, we both feel that if we have someon else there to hea what we both are feeling it might help one and other to understand where the other person is coming from. We love eachother with all of our hearts, we both know that, there are just some bumps in the road that we need to smooth out. Like my mom said if it was meant to be than everything will work out. I think everything will, but I think that we could both use a little guidence along the way. So thank you again everyone, I really appreciate the friendship you have all shown me.

Ok I'm gong to get going to work now, I don't get out until 2am, so I will talk to everyone tomorrow. Have a great night!!!!!

Hey guys. My weigh in today was 142, but I think it was more at 143 and she was just trying to be nice. It's one of those scales that you have to move the weight at the top and the thing balances in the middle when it's at the right spot. Well, whenever this one girl weighs me, she always goes a little lower and the thing hits the top. I didn't think that was right. Not that I want to weigh more, but I want it to at least be accurate. Either way, I go by my scale at home. It's the only one that I know for sure is consistent.

So far today I've had...

B - Fiber One Bar
L - WW meal
Snack - about 6 Snackwell cookies. Yikes! :(

Red - How was your sons game?

40 - Give us more info on the Bryers.

LZ - At least you at half of everything. That's better than the entire thing.

IM - Sorry you're sick again. I was thinking of you last night when I was watching the BL. I thought for sure I could hear you screaming all the way from TN when the tears started falling.

Disney - Here's my two cents for what it's worth... Better to find out now that things may not work, than later down the road. I'm approaching my 9th anniversary and the things that bother me about my husband before are still present today. He makes an effort (sometimes) to fix things, but it's hard to break old habits. I think it's wonderful that you guys are going to go talk with someone. It's nice to have an unbiased opinion on things. Here is something that has worked for us. Over this 15 month deployment we started giving each other "marriage topics" to talk about. One week he would initiate one and then next it was me, and so on. Granted, all this was over e-mail so it was a lot easier to get things off your chest without getting into an argument. Which we still did on occasions. I would keep all of the e-mails and created a folder on my computer to save them to. We've actually gone back and read through a couple of them to refresh our memories as to what we agreed to do. For instance... My biggest grip with him is that he is SO dirty. And by that I mean he's not a cleaner. I had to stress the importance of a clean house to him over and over again. We made a list of what we considered a Level 1 cleaning (basic straightening up) and a Level 2 cleaning (drawers, closets, baseboards, etc.) and how often each had to be done. Then he listed what he liked doing, hated doing, and didn't mind doing. I did the same. Then we came up with a schedule that we both could agree on. I know it sounds silly, but if that's what it takes, so be it. Some other topics were; personal appearance, s e x , hobbies, eating healthy, leaving work at work, raising the kids, dealing with each others families... Can't remember the rest without looking at my folder. Anyway, the point was, it got us talking about all the things that we liked, didn't like, and could live with about each other. You will always have your ups and downs in any relationship. It's all about compromise on both ends. Just make sure he's willing to compromise as much as you are. Relationships are work. Some days it's a good day on the job, and others it's not. Good luck!

Are we ready for BL talk yet? Has everyone watched it yet? Let me just say, I want to be like Ali. I love her!!!

I want to get on the biggest loser web site and see WTH she is doing for abs, that is the thing that kills me, her stomach is FLAT.... Mark is starting to look scraggly and wrinkly, he is gonna have a breakdown. Did you notice they blocked out all the touchy feely with Ali and Mark this time, but there was once at the weigh in he was rubbing her neck and hair, he would so be on the couch when he got home if he was my hubby...

The Scale and I are in a disagreement. It won't budge. No matter my argument it's not listening. I've tried to explain I've been eating better, my eyeballs are floating, starting to exercise more....but it is stubborn. Hasn't budged all week. I don't think I can blame tom because that's been going on for three weeks ( Dr. Fri), any suggestions to help get it to budge?

The Breyers I found in the dairy case with the other yogurts. I think they were 97 cents a piece. I had the strawberry with nestle crunch stir in this morning.....wow yummy! They have a black label and a dome with the mix in on top. I almost didn't buy them at first...thought it would be high in fat, cal. So far the ones I have are 4 g fat, no more than 130 cal....I even have one with oreos on top. Seems to be just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

IM : sorry you're not feeling good. Hopefully feeling alittle better?

Chester : Really some great advice to disney. I may have to try some myself. My honey and I are not big phone people, so we use email throughout the day. ( We were about 1-2 hours apart...so it started when we were dating) I think both Disney and I feel overwhelmed by work, school, and not much help at home. So I'm hoping I can used the suggestions to get the convo started about helping around the house to lessen the burden on me, so we can spend more time together...which can open doors to other convos before the marriage. I do think it is important to have a way you both communicate in order to solve or compromise issues.

Disney : Counseling may turn out to be one of the best things. May learn more about each other, even after 5 years.

Sox and Packs??????

BadMamma : Welcome!

40, I would say the cheesecake was not a good idea :) I can totally relate though, its my downfall even a half of a piece is probably 14 grams of fat. You may just be plateauing. I would say step up the exercise, you are so close to your goal weight that things do not come off as easily. Trust me, I jump up and down a few pounds here and there, but basically have been stuck here at this weight since Nov. I think.... Are you on 37.5?

40tolose08
April 10th, 2008, 01:03 PM
IM : The cheesecake was not the greatest idea. But I admit it was really good. I kept seeing people go by my desk with it...and before I could control myself woofed down half a slice. Gotta learn to control the impulse.
I'm thinking about joining some of the carido blast, etc classes at the gym. Always the fear of being the clumsy fat chick in the back row....but I think I'll give it a try tomorrow. I was on phen about 2 1/2 years ago and dropped from 225 to 175. (Should post some pics) and maintained. i don't remember plateauing then...but I believe my time has come. I am on the 37.5, take it with breakfast or it make me feel weird. I have noticed that I haven't gotten the same effect as I did the first time. Seems like it controlled more when I was 225...do I make any sense? But I realized 175 was not healthy at 5'2" so after 2 years decided to take the rest of the weight off.

But think you ate right...may more attention to things like cheesecake and step it out of my comfort zone at the gym....Thanks

have you got the body pump class at your gym? I haven't tried it yet (although I did buy the cool shirt :) ) but I know someone that did and she has lost 12 pounds. you go at your own rate, and depending on your level you can lift major weight or just the bar. It looks fun

Hey guys.

BadMamma - We're Army also. We're heading to Ft. Polk soon. Yikes!

IM - Did you get on line and vote. I voted for Roger. Although he gives the girls more of a competition since he has more to lose, I just didn't want to see Mark have the opportunity to win the big bucks. I would like to see their entire workout schedule. I can't wait till next week!

40 - I have a love/hate relationship with the scale. I'm normally a one pound a week dropper. Sometimes not even that. It stinks! Just hang in there though. I hope my little e-mail thing will work for you guys as well. It's so much easier to say things without them getting all defensive. Besides, no matter how nicely I say something, the expression on my face says something totally different.

Hey to everyone else. Hope you're having a nice day. We have beautiful weather. I think I'm going to heat up my WW meal and eat outside on the patio furniture. I'll BBL.

Hey all. On my scale 140.6 today. No wonder I had a big bowl of reeses puffs, popcorn cake and big spoon of choscolate frosting w/PB last night after I posted my menu.

LZ
April 12th, 2008, 11:47 AM
Michele, a pocorn cake is Orville Redenbocker's version of a rice cake.

I had an estimated 1500 calories yesterday, which could have been worse since I had dinner at Jack on the way to the ballgame. I had grilled chicken, told them to leave off mayo and butter, took off the bacaon. They fried the white bread in butter, so I took the most saturated side off, but still enjoyed it along with the small fries.

It's no wonder I forgot to get on the scale this morning before I ate.

I'm off to work outside all day. It is beautiful.

Have a great day. TTYL

Disney you are doing really good. I remember when I used to be dedicated and allowed no junk. I do want to warn you that not letting yourself have a treat now and again is not a good idea, I always end up falling off big time. Are you sure you are getting enough calories? It doesn't look like enough to me. That will stall you after a while. Sorry, I know you didn't ask but that has been my experience.

Hey Everyone! ...

Sorry i haven't been on in a day or two. Tons going on. This weekend has been spent visiting my nephew. 15 months old and full of spunk! I also adopted a rescue Chihuahua that needs alot of love and reassurance right now. Poor thing is all bone and almost hairless....before long she'll be fat and sassy like my Whopper! She's so sweet and loving...has all vet records, toys, etc...breaks my heart that she was once someone's very loved and spoiled pet.

I have not behaved this weekend:

Saturday :

B: Strawberry Pop Tarts
L&D : Chinese Buffet...two plates full...dumplings general tsos, chicken on stick., egg droup soup, three glasses of coke.
Snack: two chocolate cookies

Sunday:

B: Slept through it....chinese coma

L: Small homemade burger and baked fries

D: not sure yet

I don't go to a weight loss clinic, only check in with my family doctor. I'm considering using weight watchers with the phen. Anyone tried the combo? Last night I was disgusted with myself. I wasn't hungry at the buffet..but kept eating anyway.

How's everyone doing? Anyone heard from our missing duo?

Hey guys. Happy Monday. It's time to renew our commitments for the week ahead. I start off great, and by mid week, it's all down hill. So I'm trying to stay as positive as possible and see if I can at least stretch it out till Thursday.

This weekend Ms. Thang had her first friend sleep over here at the house. Boy were we not ready for that. Non stop High School Musical and giggling. They stayed up till around 11. I was ready to pass out, but they still wanted to watch tv. I finally had to say no and put them to bed. We ate KFC for dinner also. :(

Yesterday we went car shopping. I can't tell you how many things and people I've almost hit driving the Pacifica because I can't see out of it. Hubby finally said that it was time to get something different before I end up hurting someone. Car shopping is a pain. I'm glad he's home to take care of all that. We finished the night off with pizza. Double ouch! :(

So that's why I'm so glad today is Monday and I can start all over again! Yippee!

So far I've had:
B - Special K
Snack - Banana

I'm going to hop on the E before my motivation and my positive attitude disappear. :D

Redsox - Glad to see you're still alive and kickin'.

Hey guys. Where is everyone????

Well, TOM is here visiting again. It feels like he was just here. I don't even want to get on the scale right now because I feel like Shamu.

LZ - I want to get another 4-Runner. That's what I had before and now hubby drives it. He thought I should have the new car even though he is the one that picked it out. I told him the day that we test drove it that I didn't care for it and couldn't see out of it, but he said that I just had to get used to it. Two years later, I still feel the same. I like the feeling of sitting up high and being able to see everything around me. We just listed it with Auto Trader so we'll see what happens.

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posting the last few days. Just been playing catch up on household chores, school work, puppy training, and the list could go on...and on....

Started anew today. I admit to falling off the wagon for a couple of days. Didn't take phen, ate anything, and was lazy. Finally had to ask myself what I thought I was doing to myself. Sometimes it seems easier to revert to old ways than to out forth the effort to do better. I've found that anyone who knows I'm on phen (outside of the forums ) thinks I'm taking the easy way out with a miracle pill. Phen isn't a miracle pill...to me it's a tool in the tool kit...aids in the work I have to do myself.

I started weight watchers today. I need some help eating enough and eating the right things.

Today :

B: Yogurt, and orange juice

L: Smart ones spaghetti, carrots, and a diet coke

D : we are having burgers on the grill, salad, and skinny cow dips

How's Everyone? Sorry some of ya are recycling the sickness.

Sorry I have been MIA! things here have just not been good. Everyone was sick - I got the stomach bug - had two parties for the baby turning one, big drama with some friends over, and then the big girls night out... oh and a science fair project, awards ceremony and making brownies for the whole cast of 'Aristocats"! HA! And to say that I have fallen off the wagon is the understatement of the year. I have been eating crap! Still exercising though, except when I was sick!
So, I won't go through what I ate today.. I haven't taken my phen in a week.... but I am ready to get back on the wagon - Tomorrow is another day!

Chester, does the 4runner have 3 rows? We are looking for something with a little more room, but we need three rows and can't affford a exteneded Tahoe, and I like the Armanda - but can't find it for a decent price with all wheel drive! What a pain in the rump!!!!!
40 - let me know how the WW goes. I was starving on that plan!
Im, I agree... Paul must not have lost a thing to not even show up! Ali looks beautiful! You could see even Allison Sweeney was crying she was so happy that a girl took it! Oops, hope everyone has already watched it:confused:
LZ, how was TOPS? What is that exactly anyways? I really wish I had a workout partner!!!!! I need someone to kick my arss in gear!!!!!

WOW it seems like I haven't been here in a long time, well now that I think about it I guess it has been a couple of days. Sorry, guess I got caught up with work, spring cleaning and house hunting. Well I'm back now and here we go with todays menu:
Breakfast- Nutra Grain Bar, water
Lunch- half of a turkey sub and water
Dinner- Sloppy Joe's on wheat bun, salad, water

So how is everyone? I miss a few days and hear that everyone is doing something different. Looking for new cars, being sick again, and adopting animals huh? Well good for you all except the being sick again part that s*cks.

I really want to take a minute and thank all of you for your advice and just listening to me vent about my fiance last week, and yes he is still my fiance. We are working on things and I think we will be ok, we both have things that we need to work on with eachother, mostly comunicating with one and other. But anyway thanks again for being there for me!!!! Catch you all tomorrow....... And remember to eat breakfast everyone it is the most important meal of the day!!!!!

Hey all. TOPS weigh-in 139.2. So another 1.2 on that scale to get to goal. I'm really going to push it as next week is my last chance before going to California.

Disney, glad you and Fiancee ar working on communication BEFORE you get married. We should have all been so smart.

Packs, TOPS is Take Off Pounds Sensibly. It is somewhat simliar to WW except it is non-profit and more of a support group. Our chapter is very small. We call it cheap group therapy.

40, you are correct, phen is not a miracle pill. It is very hard work to stick with this watching what we eat and exercising. The only folks that know I currently take it is Hubby and Daughter. I just don't share that information. Good luck with WW.

Chester, I told Hubby I get to pick out the next vehichle I am to drive too. 11/2 years ago we got a great deal on a Ford F250 quad cab. Nice truck and make a great lawn ornament now that diesal is $4.09 a gallon here. So last year we bought a stripped down Ford Ranger for me to run around in. Not my choice for sure, but we do need the big truck when we need to pull a trailer and the little truck is nice when I have to go to the feed store for smaller loads. I really want a car again some day.

So since I am going to the Olive Garden for lunch today and having ice cream cake tonight I have spent my time this morning scoping out what will be best for me to eat for lunch. I even printed it all out to take,

Yesterday:
B-coffee creamer
L-veggie casserole
S-6" subway;1 oz baked chips;1/2 c peaches
D-lean cuisine mushroom pizza
Late-mixed nuts(small handfull);11/2 cuff reeses puffs;skim milk;2 bites arby's melt;11/2 oz beef jerky

Morning Ladies!!!

ok...so I had this big huge long posr I just worked on and somehow it disappeared!!! grrrrrrr!!!!! So let me recap..lol

I avoided here yesterday so I wouldn't see any Biggest Loser info till I could watch it last night. All I'll say is the producers did everything they could to make sure a woman won!! They brought back a voted off Alli and then reduced the time after the final week at the ranch from 3 months to 6 weeks as Alli could only lose a few more pounds. Had it gone the 3 months Roger would have smoked her!! So the producers got what they wanted...a woman champ..but only by changing the rules along the way! Now don't get me wrong...Alli kicked butt and looks awesome!! But her win will always be tainted by the rule changes...Roger and Kelly got a raw deal as they made it the whole way without being voted off!!! Plus the producers got another female winner when Bernice....wait whats that...he is a guy....my bad!! lmao!! Only reason he won is he is 5' 3" tall and could get to the 150's...lmao!! But again he did great!! Just wasn't a favorite of mine. Anyone else disapointed in the still fat fat counselors or Brittney who seemed to put weight back on since she left the ranch? I agree that Jackie looked really good too. Well enough of my biggest loser rant...lol

Well I hope everyone who is sick gets better soon and those that fell off the wagon get right back on!!

As far as the house thing goes we are still waiting to hear if the sellers mortgage company will allow a short sale. We won't know till the end of the month..so we are at a screeching halt till then. good thing our R/E agent is our landlord too...so we are set until we finally sign and move out....this house or another if it falls through.

Here is a picture from this past weekend of me and my much too tall pre-pubescent 13yr old son...lol. He is so going to sky over me when he is done growing...he just turned 13 a month ago too!! and yes that is a winter coat I have on..it was in the high 30's and raw out...so much for spring that day!!

Mark- WHATEVER!! ;)... I agree Alli shoudn't have gotten back on the show (Marc either) but remember its percentage not total poundage. If they would have had any more time, they would have all blown away. I was kinda glad to see Bernie win... Better him than ROCK STAR! And Marc won everything all season so I didn;t want him to win either. I am always for the underdog, I would have like to have seen Paul. I would have loved to have seen Kelly win.;

Alright time to start posting everyday again. I've been feeling crudy the past few days, I'm hoping it will clear up on it's own in a day or two.

Not too much new. I've vowed not to weigh myself for a few days. Mostly because I get pissy if he scale hasn't moved. Been sick, tom, and just feel like a blimp.

I did try the cardio pump class at the gym this weekend. It was really energetic and fun. I was exhausted by the end of the warm up...I thought we were already mid work out....I dragged....but I did it, and am sore in places I haven't been in a very long time. I plan to go back Tuesday.

I'm ashamed of my binge fest last night but here it goes :

B: none

L : Terriaki chicken, white rice, zuchinni/onions

D: Fried chicken 1/4. Macncheese, frozen yogurt

S: jello, grilled cheese sandwich

Today is going to be better. Gotta go no and do some laundry cleaning etc before company comes this weekend. I'll post later today and catch up with everyone.

40, your binge doesn't look too bad. Great job on the new exercise class. I worked out in my garden for 11/2 hours today and cleaned house the rest of the day. At least i burned some calories. Calories so far today 1032.

I have to get on the scale tomorrow. Wish me luck!

April 22nd, 2008, 10:44 AM
Hey guys. No real excuse for not checking in other than I've been so bad I didn't want to have to tell you. Hubby had a 4 day weekend and we ate as if it was the last supper for every meal. It's wonderful to have him home, but he buts a kink in my daily routines. I haven't exercised in a while and TOM has been here making it all the more difficult to do anything other than eat.

Ms. Thang has been a sassy little thing towards me ever since daddy came home. She wants to be with him 24/7 and wants nothing to do with me. If I tell her to do something she'll talk back and then run to her daddy. I took her to the movies this weekend just the two of us to see if we could get some female bonding in. It lasted the entire length of the movie and then it was back to daddy. Oh well!

Macho has been all over me at least. He still wants his mommy to do everything for him. He loves to play outside now and wants to be out there all the time. The weather has been rainy for a couple of days so we haven't been able to go out as much. He's not too happy about that!

Hubby went in on Sunday night for a sleep test. The man snores like a hibernating bear. It's so terrible that I sleep on the couch and Ms. Thang has even woken up from all the noise. We haven't gotten the results back from the sleep test yet, but the guy did say that he would be a candidate for the mask. Hubby was like H E L L no am I wearing a mask to bed every night for the rest of my life. He wants them to just break his nose, be in pain for a couple of weeks, then be done with it. I'm all for a nose break as well. Then I can go around telling everyone that I did it to him because he wouldn't pick up around the house. They'd probably believe me!

We're having issues with his family and them asking for money. They know that he got paid extra while being gone and they are wanting a piece of the pie. His grandmothers phone has been turned off since December and I finally had enough of waiting around for one of her 5 children to help her out, so I had it turned on in my name. She had the nerve to call and ask me why I didn't turn the cable on also. Then she called yesterday and didn't really ask, but beat around the bush about us helping her pay her 281.00 phone bill from before, her electric bill and her car payment that she's two months behind on. To top it off, we've been getting phone calls from a collection agency about bills that his sister is late on. I guess she put our name down as a reference somewhere and now they won't stop calling. We've had 4 calls in the past week. It's just crazy. So hubby and I got into a fight last night about all of this. Yes, we made some extra money, but we are down to one paycheck now since HE doesn't want me to go back to work. We need to save that money for things that may pop up along the way. I'm just so glad that we are not at home right now having to deal with all of this first hand. I am refusing to answer the phone right now if it's his family because I'm afraid that I might say something I'll have to apologize for later.

So, I've been eating to deal with all the stress this has brought on. I love food. I can't help it. Instead of a pill to help curb my appetite, I need something to help me with my will power.

I didn't go to my weigh in last week either. I'm surprised I didn't get a phone call from them. I'm down to my last month on Phen and they have said that this will probably be my last since I'm so close to a "normal" BMI. Whatever! Now is when I really need it most. The last 15 or so are the hardest to lose.

IM - How much are the lipo shots? Are you getting them from your doctor or a weight loss clinic?

LZ - How have you been feeling lately? Good luck with your weigh in.

40 - Congrats on just sticking with the workout class. Going is half the battle!

Hey to everyone else. I better post before I lose all of this.

Chester, glad you checked in. Sorry about the in-law stress. The thanks you get for helping out!

Daddy's little girl. I guess they have a lot of catching up to do.

I have been feeling pretty good Mon & Tues. I've done well on eating and getting my exercise in.

You will feel better if you get back to the program.

I hope to hear from everyone soon.

Hey guys. Yesterdays menu:
B - Special K
L - WW meal
Snack - Wheat Thins
D - Some pasta, chicken, veggies, rice
Snack - Sherbet

Yesterday I did the E for 30 minutes, some abs, and leg lifts. It felt good to get back on the E even though it was a challenge. That's what happens when you take some time off though.

So far today:
B - Special K
S- Banana

After I put the little man down I'm going to get on the E and do some more weights.

LZ - Glad to hear that you're feeling better. It stinks to be down and out. How was your weigh - in yesterday?

Gotta go! Have a skinny day!

Heys guys, I went to the gym and did 30 minutes of cardio and some major leg work, I also went to the weightloss clinic and got more phen, I got the capsules this time so I can have the timed release effect, he said these have been out the longest and are the best...WELLL, why wasn't I on these to begin with?

I am also going try swimming a little after my workout, anyone have any experience and how much should I do?

Oops, not so good today. Would have been allright until I ate 1/2 of a large, yes DQ blizzard.

No phen for me today until about 4 pm when I took 1/2 (that is 1/4 my daily dose). I wouldn't have taken any but I had a severe HA and I'm sure going from 2 to 0 is not good. I aim to be completely off by the weekend. This is difficult because I have at least 20 sitting in the bottle. I'd like to be out of the tired stage when I leave for my vacation Tuesday. Just because I was bad today does not mean I will be bad until I get back.

Chester, I was 140 even at TOPS. My friend who is going to Vegas at the same time I am issued a light challenge to me. We are going to see who gains the least.

Michele, all I know is swimming is one of the best exercises. Works a ton of different muscles w/o stress on your joints.I also know I want a pool.

Storming here tonight. I may actually do an exercise DVD tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

I stink. I know. LIfe here has been stressul and kinda s u c ks! I have been eating well and still exercising, but I can't seem to break 161 - no matter what I do, and it is really, really frustrating me. Especially since this is suppose to be my last month on Phen too.
We are trying to figure out what to do money wise. We have more going out then coming in and we are sinking in debt. We want to try to sell this house and move closer to Tampa because we would save $500 a month in what my hubby pays for gas and tolls just to get to work every day - problem is that I don't think we can get what we need out of this house. I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel and it is really hard.
I think I may try to get back on Lexapro again. I don't know how that will do with the phen, but my anxiety is completley out of control. I can't sleep and my head hurts ALL the time because of all the stupid sh it that keeps running through it. It is hard to explain, but the Dr says it's because my brain doesn't turn off. AUGH! Okay, I am not a nut case, just so you know. Anxiety is a side effect of my lovely heart condition. Sometimes I can handle it, but other times it gets away from me.
Okay menu yesterday...
B: 1/2 english muffin w 1 TBSP RF P.B., hot chocolate made with skim milk and SF syrup
S: 60 calorie pudding - I'm on TOM - must eat chocolate!
L: carrots and RF dressing and I think a banana...
D: 3 turkey meatballs and a cup and a half of WW noodles and 1 piece of bread

Today all I have had so far is a banana... but I think I am going to have 1/2 english muffin with RF cream cheese... and a salad for lunch... not sure what for dinner...

Chester, does his family think the military is rich or what? Do they realize that he was over there for all of us, not to give his family money? They sound like a bunch of clueless, trashy, inconsiderate pompus arsses!!!! Ummm... yea... PMSing here... but REALLY???? Jerks!!!!!! How about Grandma saying "thank you" instead of trying to bleed you dry... ERRrrrr... give me their numbers, I am in a mood to be a BYTCH!!!!!!

Im, did you take your measurements before the lipo shot? Was it expensive? Keep us up on the results... sorry I have been MIA - next time come to my myspace and kick my arss in gear!!!!! When life gets stressful I always seem to bail!!!!!

LZ, keep up the good work!!! I need to look into TOPS. I would do WW, but it is really expensive!!!!!

Packs, glad to hear from you. I can relate to the budget shortfall. My hubby commutes over 150 miles a day round-trip and these gas prices are killing us. Not to mention the increased price of everything else. Ughhh! Good thing my plane ticket is already paid for.

I am cranky and tired today too since I am trying to get off the phen for awhile. I am trying to set myself short teerm goals. A nap is definately in my near future.

Hey packs- I understand the money issue. Hubby drives about 150 miles per day to work also. He had a disel which is over 4.00 now. I guess everything happens for a reason because about the time my mom got the news that she couldn't drive anymore, we got hit with these prices. So we are buying her car. We are fortunate that hubby makes pretty good but I think everyday that we are always getting by the skin of our noses, how do people that aren't fortunate enough to have a good job make it with all the price increases, food is almost as bad as gas now.,...

Lz- are you gonna keep in touch while you are gone?
No gym today, but food has been good. I took my first time released phen this morning, seems pretty good so far.

Hey Gals,

I'm still alive. Just spent the last few days feeling sorry for myself. I've had TOM on and off since I started the phen. I thought it was due to all the changes my body was making, and attributed the mood swings to it. Monday night has horrible and ended up at the Dr. Tuesday morning. I was having a miscarriage, I had no clue I was even pregnant. Honey hasn't said much, and life is as if it never occurred. But I've been in a funk. A thousand thoughts have been racing through my head.

I'm just tired, moody, starving (ww ****s), and hoping this weekend off will help me recharge and refocus. I need a few days with the remote control and scrappy looking pjs.

The scale has finally budged some. 2 lbs from the stall. Weight Watchers seems to be working. I'm starving, I'm sure if I ate more salad, veggies it would feel the void...I just can't seem to down a bad of carrots without the ranch dressing. Some girls at work are also doing ww so the sancks have dwindled and more low fat recipe swapping....think it's good.

My goal : I want to wear a bikinni on my beach vacation June 14th. So gonna start working hard. Back to the gym Monday, and I got Buff brides from netflix....if nothing else the neighbors should enjoy me flapping around in the living room. =)

Everyone seems so busy. At least the sickness is clearing. Money hungry relatives...can't blame ya for not answering the phone. You would think they would be grateful for the help. Hun has a brother that asks for $3000 about every six months...caused a rif between them. I hate to see money cause problems, but we can't afford to fix other peoples money issues. We have enough of our own to fix. I feel the ever mounting pile of debt, as soon as I have grip on mine the unexpected happens. Sometimes I think we deserve nicer things, newer cars, furniture etc, since we both work hard...fustrating.

Sorry i couldn't get to everything. But time to go to work. Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

Good morning all!
Well, I did good yesterday with food
B: banana and WW muffin and hot chocolate
L: salad
S: granola bar and milk
D: 1 slice of pizza and 1 WW snack cake - again chocolate:)
the scale still isn't budging from the 160 mark - it goes from 160-162... I don't get it and it is really making me want to say to H ELL with it! Errr...
We are going to put our house up for sale and cross our fingers that the right buyer comes along. So this weekend I will be busting arss to get the house ready for pictures. The hard part will be trying to keep the house clean at all times, which is virtually impossible and being ready to leave the house at a moments notice so people can look. I just hope it works, and before school starts cause once school starts I am not switching the kids. Ash will be going to kindergarten next year - I can't even wrap my head around that one!
40 - I am so sorry honey. I have had 3 myself. One of those times I didn't even know either, but that sure didn't make it any easier. I feel for you. *hugs*
LZ and Im - yep, everything is so darn expensive now thanks to the ever soaring gas prices. I think the truckers should have been on strike for a lot longer of a time because I think that would have really made a difference. No trucks = no products = no income for the greedy.
Okay, I need to get off of here and take my phen and eat my bfst!

40tolose08
April 25th, 2008, 06:24 PM
Been a good day!

B : Grapes, yogurt with granola
L: BBQ sandwich, fat free chocolate frozen yogurt
D : Will be terraki chicken, 1/3 cup white rice, zuchinni and onions

Packs and IM : Thank you both.

I have to agree with everyone on the soaring prices. I went grocery shopping today and noticed everything was .12 cents more expensive. On top of that I've noticed in the past motihs that the quanity is smaller, yet the packaging stays the same. Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this? It's getting expensive to lose weight I eat less, and am spending almost twice as much. I expected a rise..but wow. Bring on the chicken nuggets and fries......I feel for the people who have to drive for work, even my tiny car is costing almost $40 to fill up, couldn't imagine a suv, much less the costs for the semi drivers.

Packs: I have been feeling the resentment towards the scale. I finally got it to budge after almost three weeks of stalemate. I even changed the batteries in the scale. lol...fustrating especially when you are thinking you've done everything right, or what's been working. Maybe yours is muscle...from the gym?

Well gotta get clean up and trying to talk hun into seeing a movie tonight.

Hope everyone has a great night.

40, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. What a difficult time.

Good luck on selling the house.

Michele, I may get a chance to check in once. I'm not sure if I'll have much time. i am not taking my laptop. It will probably be good for me to take a break.

Down to 1/2 phen today which is 1/4 dose. I am going to try 0 tomorrow. i was at ana agricultural conference all day today so I didn't have time to think about being tired. I sure am now. Eating like a horse too. Off to Son's ballgame shortly. At least it is an early one at home.

Lz- that's the way I did , I couldn't help it. Its like whatever is blocked in your brain by the phen comes back full force. I was constantly thinking what I could eat next, and none of it healthy. I wanted to share a tidbit that they told me at the Dr. office. Change all the bread you eat to whole wheat and boost your weightloss 1-2 pounds per week. Sounds great, but I hate wheat bread, I may just swear off bread a while

AUGH! I am glad this weekend is over. Saturday we went to hubby's dad's house so the kids could swim all day. It was little man's first time in the pool. He has no fear! He tried to wiggle away because he wanted to swim all by himself! On the way home all three of the kids were sleeping - gotta love a pool!
Yesterday I spent the whole day cleaning and organizing. I didn't get into bed until midnight and then it was a couple hours until I fell asleep. I also had an anxiety attack this weekend - 1st one in well over a year. I called my Dr to see about the lexapro and they told me they can't get me in until JULY 2ND! Errr..
So today the real estate agents are coming to start the paperwork. I dread trying to keep this house clean with three kids, three cats, a dog and a hamster. It is going to be pretty impossible. I just hope we can sell it fast or I may just go insane!
I did good on eating this weekend. The scale STILL isn't budging. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!
Im, no white bread and 1-2 lbs huh? I hardly even eat bread anyways... if only it were that easy. I can see 1-2 lbs for replacing white with wheat if you ate a LOT of bread, but I don't see that in your case. I am anxious to see what the shot does for you! How was the family dinner? You won't be all alone while LZ is gone.... where has everyone gone anyways? Mark has been gone for a while. You know Choco is back, let's go get her!:p
40, I wish it were muscle. I know if I could cut off all this nasty skin that would be a few pounds... but I still see fat too... so I know I can get that scale to go smaller, it has to - there is still fat to lose!
LZ, good luck with the no phen. I find it very hard - but I think a lot of it is mind over matter... I am scared what is going to happen when I am done with phen. When I take a break I always seem to gain about 7 lbs back. I hope you have a great vacation!
Okay, I need to put my face on, fix something to eat, and get ready for the realtors!

Hey guys. Sorry I've been away a couple of days. Things are crazy. We're trying to get organized for our big move in July, but things just keep popping up. Hubby has had two job offers in the past two weeks that would keep us here. We've been debating it, but it's his decision to make. It's hard to find a happy balance of what's best for the family and what's best for his career. He's trying not to put his career first, but when he's the bread winner he has to at times. We don't have much time left, so he needs to make a move.

We had a jewelry show this weekend. Saturday was a mad house! Since we make on the spot, we're always slammed. Sunday was a little calmer because it was supposed to rain all day so I think people just stayed home.

I haven't really shared much about what's going on with my grandfather, so here goes. He's been in the hospital for a few months now. He went in because he was having problems with his kidneys. It took a while, but they were able to get everything up and running again. He had to be moved over to a rehab center before being allowed to come home. While he was there things just kept getting worse and he wound up back at the hospital. He stopped eating and they had to place a feeding tube in him which he doesn't like and tries to pull out. My grandmother says that he has "Old Timers" because he keeps forgetting everything. I didn't have the heart to correct her on that one. Besides, it's kinda cute instead of saying the other words that comes with a dark cloud hanging over it. Well, this last week, his kidneys failed. They said that he is too old and his body is to weak for dialysis. Yesterday they removed his feeding tube and are giving him pain medication until he passes. I think they're moving him to Hospice today. I'm trying to fly out of here on Thursday night, but I'm afraid I may not make it in time. My parents said that I don't need to go down because he doesn't want a funeral or any type of memorial service, but I still want to. I would love to hug him one more time before he leaves us, but if going earlier is better for him, then so be it. Death is a part of life, and even when you know it's coming, and for the best, doesn't make it any easier. I'll always remember the time he took me to school in Jr. High and pulled out a knife from his glove box and said (say it in your best Spanish accent) "Put this in your purse". We all still laugh about that till this day! Every time my husband asks me to hold something for him, he says that in his "wanna be" Spanish accent.

The scale still seems to be frozen for me as well. Today it was 142. But I must admit, I haven't been as active as I should be. I know I need to bump up the cardio to start seeing the numbers move again. So let me get to movin'...

Hope you guys have a great day and make healthy choices! I'm going to try my darndest!

Good morning. Trying to accomplish the list today. I am very excited about my trip. Of course, I must leave the house perfect.

I am holding myself accountable starting today. I am going to go out to eat, but I am writing it all down. At least i don't feel draggy.

Chester, sorry to hear about your grandpa. I got a laugh out of your school story.

Can't remember if I mentioned it, but I am working on getting my Mom transferred here. I have found a place 15 minutes away. Pros and cons for sure! I think she'll like it and she wants to be here. That is tops on my list when I get back.

Packs and Michele, I know the no phen is mind over matter. My mind sure likes the crutch though. I am locking the remainder of my bottle in the safe today as a symbol to myself. I'm not sure if I can make myself stay off it when I get back as long as I know it is in there but I will try. I suspect the Doc will have to quit giving me the ** before I stay off it completely. At least I know I'm not physically addicted.

I eat mostly whole wheat anyway.

Well my GF is taking me out to mexican food for my b-day. Have a great week if I don't get back to check in. i promise to take pictures and share!

Yes, I did it for 5 years. DO NOT DO IT!!! I thought oh what a great profession I set my own schedule, work from home... IT does not work that way. What happens is that you are on call 24-7, their is no loyalty as far as clients, you may show houses to them for weeks then they go and buy from another agent. Also other agent will stab you in the back, even in your own company. There is so much expense because you are an independent contractor, so you have to pay errors and omissions insurance in case you get sued and you most likely will or be threatened anyway. Plus you pay all the advertising, etc..The list goes on and on...
A friend of mine did it after I told her not to, she is losing everything....

I know, I don't eat enough I guess that is why I am not losing. The only thing I did different besides the shot was started taking the capsule phentermine that is time released.

Hey I know this forum was started some time ago, however I was wondering if I could join in on the challenge. I feel like if I have to you guys what I eat everyday I will be more accountable for what goes in my mouth. Tomorrow will be one week on Phen for me 37.5mg tablets. I go to my doctor tomorrow and I will be asking lots of questions. I'm not sure phen is working for me. No appetite suppression, maybe slightly. and no energy what so ever! Actually I feel sluggish and I take naps when my baby sleeps. So hopefully I will get some answers tomorrow. If any of you have any suggestions feel free to share. I have 2 children of my own and a step-son who lives with us full-time with older step-children that do not live with us. My daughters are 2 and 6 and my step-son is 8. I'm happily married and my husband has been doing the diet thing with me just not taking the Phen. Here is what I had today:

B- small banana, a nonfat yogurt, 1 apple cinn. rice cake and a Special K bar (Peaches and Berries...I think)
L- small broiled chicken breast with lemon/pepper seasoning, 1 cup steamed carrots, and a Skinny Cow fudge stick...YUM!
D- broiled chicken breast w/ lemon/pepper seasoning, cabbage, 1/2 cup brown rice
Snack- 1 small gala apple

How am I doing, be honest!!

Thanks, can't wait to hear from all of you!!!

Hi ladies. We are having a great time.

When sis and I got here our Aunt was with Mom. She just got to stay 24 hours, but it was so great to see her. We have decided this needs to be an annual event.:D

I am doing well on walking. We walked all day yesterday.

Michele, last night Mom surprised us with tickets to "Cats". Can you believe it? What a great experience.:) I wonder if it is the same group you saw?

On a sad not, my home community is going through a terrible tragedy this week. A 15 y/o girl committed suicide. How tragic. I know the parents and my heart just cries out for them. I keep trying not to think about her and her family, but just can't help it. How sad.

I will not pretend that I am doing well on my food intake.:p No phen for me. I have been completely off for 6 whole days.I left the bottle at home and am feeling really good. Since the initial wear-down period my energy level is great. Of course, that could be since I am on vacation.

Packs, remind me what who Timmy is.

C, good to meet you.

Have a great week if I don't get back. Going to walk on the beach later. Hearst castle tomorrow and the "melodrama" Saturday. I will be home late, late Sunday night. So, I will check in Monday for sure.

REALLY LZ????? WHOOOO TIM IS????? OMG!!!! Are you sure you are my Phrend???? Tim McGraw - my dream man. The love of my life. The breath that I take. The wind beneath my wings. My everything. Okay, I'm obsessed! I won a contest and have 2nd row seats and can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope the rest of you trip is great!

Okay, so I did everything I said I was going to do - but spent a little too much time in the sun - I'm burnt:mad:

Yep still alive ! Unfortunately my internet, cable, and electricty have been iffy the past few days, and the rest is work. They are still swearing the new construction has nothing to do with it.

Complaint of the day : The new subdivision now has residents. The new subdivison homes cost 8 times my small 1950's rancher...so naturally they are driving 350 z, **8, and escalades flying down the street. Since I live in an old neighborhood 90% are historic and the roads are very narrow , hardly anyone has a driveway (park on the street), and being afforable tons of kids. You have to yield right of way, move over, and let each other through.....well that's how it was...now it's 60 mph chicken. I had to swerve into a neighbors yard to avoid a side swipe today....I'm more afraid they are gonna hit a child...

Chester : I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Even if it is natural it doesn't make it an easier to say goodbye. Please have a safe trip, and I hope you are able to have a few more cherished moments.

I've started taking my phen every other day. Scale is finally moving. I can't explain it, but I think it may be the combo of more cals one day/less the next. Plus I'm sleeping better. I've also made it to the gym...and Cardio blast has found muscles that I had long forgotten I had...finally not the new girl in class. Weight watchers I'm still dloing kinda...I went long enough to get the books. I use them more as a calorie reference. I just don't have an hour every week to sit in a meeting. I'm debating online.....I'm afraid I will regain what I've lost if I don't get ahold of myself now. I have maintained over a 50 lb weight loss from 2 yrs ago...so I have some hope that I can again.

Packs : I had thought about real estate also. A friend talked me out of it too...glad she did. You won't regret persuing your passion in journalism.

B : I still skip it....bad bad
L : 1 slice of digorno cheese pizza, diet coke
D : 1/2 chicken quesadilla, 1/2 cheese enchalida, 5 chips with salsa, 1/3 fried icecream, and tea.....

LZ : I'm glad you are having a great time. Where in CA are you visiting. I grew up in California, I've only been in VA about 4 - 5 years. I grew up in Palmdale/Lancaster.

I'm so sorry to hear about the 15 yr old.

40- I think you should call the planning commission in your town. I think that is who you would call. When they put in a new subdivision it takes a while to iron out the kinks. Tell them about the danger to kids, maybe they will do something. If your house is older, it might be the wiring that is causing problems. Are any of the neighbors having trouble too?

Went on a field trip to Dollywood (amusement park) yesterday. I had 7 kids in my group. All the kids got a meal voucher for lunch but most of the kids had no extra money. I thought that was awful, am I just being b itchy? ? I just cannot imagine sending my child to a place for 8 hours and expect 1 kids meal and 1 drink to do them. needless to say, I spent ALOT of money and I am giving an icecream party for her class today. Hubby says they use me because I let them.

As you can probably guess, eating wasn't great. I actually had a soft drink, probably the first 1 in 7-8 months too.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! It so far it is a happy one for me! DRUM ROLL PLEASE..................... the scale said 157.6!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Now, if I can just keep heading in the downward numbers. This is the smallest I have seen in a long, long time.... I just hope it stays off. I have to admit, my metabolism moves so slow, that I know this would not be possible without phen. I am so nervous to go off of it. Anyone know of any natural herbs or anything that is suppose to help increase your metabolism?
Im, dollywood, eh? Michaela has a field trip at the end of this month with her class to Sea World's new waterpark Aquatica. I can't go because of the other two, but she will be in a group with her BF's mother - who I totally trust. To be honest, I am so glad you said something about extra money, because the note that I got home said that the price includes food and drink for the day - so I wasn't going to sent money - think I'll give BF's mommy some extra cash. Hey, I am new at this field trip thing:p - thanks for the heads up though!
40- I would definitley say something to someone before someone does get hurt. If I was a parent in that neighborhood I would raise H E LL until something was done!
B yesterday I had tea and graham crackers
L was a PB and J
D was grilled chicken and a little mashed potatoes

I have to run to the post office which I dread... I hate the post office....

May 2nd, 2008, 12:13 PM
Packs- well if you didn't think of it maybe that is why the other parents didn't send mother either. Is she going to be there 7 hours? I would think she might need more money. The voucher they had was only for a kids meal. These kids are 10-11 years old, they eat more than adults. A kids meal is a snack for them.

I hat the post office too. Great job on the loss !!

I'm here. I have just been trying to entertain the kiddos all day so hubby can get some tiling and pressure washing done. The realtors are going to be coming and taking pics monday - trying to keep this house clean and in order with these kids is a full time job. I have been up to midnight every night just cleaning - and I have been staying up on it through the day as much as I can. That is probably why I have lost, I hardly ever sit down! I am so far behind on all my TV shows that it isn't even funny!

For Kayla's field trip they are leaving at 9 in the morning and not coming back until 9 at night. They didn't specify on how much food they would get - I guess it is buffet style..... dunno. But I will defnitley be sending in extra cash!

What are you up to this weekend????

My back is killing me! The realtors are suppose to come tomorrow to take pictures - but I think I am going to ask them to come tuesday cause I don't want to rush around tonight to make this house spotless - I am sore and exhausted and still have to find something to make for dinner... and I smell poo.... baby.... augh.....

All I have had today was a small pancake and then a PB and J... haven't had time to eat and I have no idea what I am going to do for dinner!!!!

I had a lean pocket for dinner... but man, I was thirsty last night. I had a big ole glass of chocolate milk and a small glass of OJ and then another tall glass of plain milk - drinking calories - not a great thing:(

SO......... where is everyone? Disney? 40? Chester? Mark?............................................. .......

I don't have a whole lot planned today. I need to call the radio station and make plans to go get my tickets, I need to head to the mall sometime this week and go bra shopping - lost some boobage:), I need to go to the webkins store and get Ash some birthday presents - her bday is saturday- my big 3-0 is tomorrow! I have a meeting with the principal at school tomorrow to request a teacher for Ash for next year. .... this week is going to be a busy one!
What's up with you Im? Did you weigh on friday? up or down???? Are you just now building a pool? We priced one about 4 years ago and they have since doubled in price - darn gas, ruining everything!

I'll email you my address....
so WQYK has a new contest now for Tim day. The best tailgating party wins backstage passes - so you know I am going to work my *** off for those! I am doing a birthday theme party complete with balloons, signs, party hats and a cake. I am making a big birthday card for everyone who comes by my tailgate party to sign to give to him onstage. Oh, I guess I should tell you that Tim's bday was May 1st.... I am making a tall flagpole out of PVC pipe and two flags to hang on the pole. One WQYK and One tim flag.... I hope I can pull this one off - sure would be awesome to have backstage passes and 2nd row seats!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorites at Hearst Castle, the outdoor pool. Mr Hearst had it built 3 times before he was satisfied. We took an evening tour. It was cool. Volunteers dress up in clothes from the 20's and 30's and pretend to be guests.

Nothing too exciting here. Been doing tons of yard work, getting soaked by rains, and really hoping the tornandos stay on the other side of the mountain. I feel for all the families... It's been really odd, in the time I've been in VA torandos have never been a concern.

Thanks. I've been stuck at 160. I seem to drop a few pounds then stick to the same weight for 2 weeks. Really fustrating. I just want to see 159....that would make me beyond happy to be in the 150's....I'd even take 159.9 at this point. =) I've tried everything I can think of to get the scale to move every week, and it doesn't want too. Of course Hun's solution is to just weight every two weeks....i admit the first thing I do every morning is hop on the scale : healthy prob not...but in my own way seeing little fluctuation day to day ( .5 to 1 lb either way) makes me feel like I'm still on track. He's concerned I'm going to develop an eating disorder with the daily weigh in. I say I've already got one, and have battled with it for years...complusive eating is just as bad as complusive excerising.

I did have an awesome moment. A nurse at work brought me a paper sack filled with clothes from her daughter ; around the same age that she's grown out of. I opened the bag to find several shorts and skirts in a sizes 6, 8, and 10.....been so long since I would think anyone would believe i could wear anything that small. The 10 is snugg....the 8's and 6's a goal...but just the gift was a high.

packgirls
May 15th, 2008, 12:01 PM
yes, we won the tailgate - check out my blog too!

40, size 10? I can squeeze into that - size 6----- WOW !!!! I would LOVE that... maybe after my tummy tuck. Speaking of Tummy tuck - I have my consult on the 27th of this month. I won't be able to have it done until next June - but I want to know price wise what to expect. Hubby is even going with me because he wants to hear all the dr says too.

Sorry I haven't hopped on in the last few days. I have been busy with my friend that has the dreaded "C" word. Please be thinking of her tomorrow as she heads into surgery.

All of this emotional stress with my friend has not been good to me. I have not exercised and have been eating everything bad I can get my hands on. And I haven't been taking my phen. I know.... horrible.... I need to see the light at the end of the tunnel again:(

40tolose08
May 15th, 2008, 01:55 PM
It's the hips and thighs ! They are holding me back ! I still don't understand how it is possible to slim down everywhere else and have big ol honkin hips. I have to fit my hips instead on my waist most of the time. If I do something strecthy that fits more in the waist something awful happens around the butt area. lol The seriously need a SWH section. (short, wide hips)

Sounds like you had a blast on your Timmy Trip. I would have loved to have seen him when he was this way...there is just something scrumptous....=) You've been so dedicated that I don't doubt you'll get back into the swing of things with the phen and excerise. Life happens and sometimes taking care of others is what's most important at the moment. I know people say you should take care of yourself first...but sometimes that isn't possible. I'm afraid I'll need an entire body lift once I'm done....at least put everything back like a normal 25 yr old.

Lz you make me miss "home". My family used to stay a night or two in Pismo Beach on our way to San Franciso. Nothing is more beautiful than the drive up old hwy 101. How is your mom doing?

Did decent yesterday :

Lunch : hot dog, jello

Dinner : spagehetti, salad, and red velvet cake ( made with soda....awesome)

Hello ladies,

I'm so sorry I've been missing for so long. Hope everyone is doing well. Believe it or not, I have missed you guys. I've just been so busy the past few months, it's just not funny. But I've also been very happy. 3 months ago I got engaged to the most amazing guy - everything's been happening so fast since then, my head is spinning. But after many failed relationships which most of you know about, this guy makes me so happy. We're getting married on 20th Sept. and I need to shape up as much as I can before then.

I will be going to Australia this Saturday but will be back on 10th June. I hope you will let me join whatever challenge you're having at the time. I've always found that being on here helps keep me on track.

Hugs & kisses to everyone.

P.S. You guys are doing so well. Packgirls, you look amazing. And lmball, you're doing pretty well too. Same goes to LZ

Life never seems boring. Always a new challenge.

On Memorial Day my grandmother fell down my basement stairs. 20 steps, head first. She is 82 and extremely lucky to have only broken her c1, and c7.. She's in a rigid collar and very sore. The family had her moved to a rehab/short term nursing home yesterday. So my last week or so has been help take care of Grandma.

Shawn and I have also moved up our wedding. The orginial plan to was to elope to an exoctic island next spring. We are now having a small outdoor wedding in October...yep that's this October....like in 139 days I say I do. Wow, yikes...omg. Lots attributed to the move of the wedding date. His mom was extremely unhappy with the elopement plans, and ailing grandparents really wanted to attend...the list goes on. So after grandmas accident we booked the family only wedding, and 6 days in Jamacia.

Weight wise...I've put on 4 lbs. Haven't been watching what I eat, not getting in the water, and just have not been motivated in about two weeks. I now have 139 days to be able to move in my wedding dress. It can zip...but comfortable breathing.....

I took the phen this morning..after a slice of DQ ice cream cake....and I feel like I want to eat anything that isn't nailed down. I did have a lean cusine for lunch. I don't know if it's stress, or the phen isn't working like it did, or I'm just revertting to the wanna eat cause well...I wanna.

I have to work tonight, but I'll catch up on everyone in the morning.
