Ok, I need something to get me back on track and I found this apple detox that looks like it would not be quite as difficult as just apples for three days. I am going to try it starting today. My intitial goal is to make it through the weekend. Anyone is welcome to join me anytime or continue on when I am no longer actively pursuing this challenge.

This came from DR BEN KIM dot com if you are interested in checking out his website.

Here is what to do:

Eat nothing but apples, whenever you are hungry, from the time you wake up until the time you normally eat dinner. For dinner, have what you usually have, but it would be better if your meal consisits of 50% green leafy vegetables. Here are some examples of ideal dinner meals:

A. Steamed Broccoli
Brown Rice
Avacado
Dressing from website recipe section

B. Steamed Asparagus, spinach and green peas
3 ounces wild salmon
Dressing from website recipe section

So here I go!:p

OH NO YOU DON'T - not with out me. ;)

I can SO do this challenge, (finally) and I'm doing it. I will have to start tomorrow, there is not an apple in this house.

How many apples do you think you'll eat? I rarely actually "get hungry" so I may just have to eat it anyway.

there was a gal on here not too long ago that did this apple detox and she lost a ton of weight from it. I'm curious about it, don't know if I could pull it off...I like apples but not that much!

I need a good jumpstart too so I am willing to give it a try. I have been thinking about it since Dhenry did it a while back. Count me in.

I can't find the "rules" 3 days eating apples? Then what? When do I eat 3 days worth of apples again?
Green or Red? Any kind?

I'm going to do some more searches.

Hey Raquel, I'm 42 also and trying to learn portion control. I'm also on a phen break. This is hard. I ate two apples and a cup of applesauce. Also, a bigger dinner than perscribed. Did you look at Dr Ben Kim dot com?

According to him you can do it more than three days. I just searched apple detox through MSN live search and originally saw this on chet day dot com and it links to ben kim.

You do have me on the twin toddlers. I have a 17 y/o (18 soon) Daughter and 10 y/o Son.

In Search of Me, I missed your post the first time. Are you starting tomorrow?

I read DHenry's post when she did it. I need to drop about five pounds that came back in the past two weeks.

Day #2. I will do better today. More apples, less dinner.

I drank diet coke this morning instead of coffee. At least I didn't use my normal creamer. One apple so far.

Hey Raquel, exactly how old are the twins? Boys, girls, both? Looks like we had different ideas, you just had them both to get it over all at once. i wanted to spread out my pain.LOL

I've done OK today, but I'm not sure i am going to make it through the night. I'll at least eat good for me food. I'm not sure i can face another apple.

Something funky is going on with this website-- I have not been able to log in all day. My kids snack on apples all day and night so I am currently ALL out. I will be going to the store in the a.m. to stock. I will be starting tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes. I hope you are surviving.:)

GOT MY APPLES .....

Ate really healthy today and dinner was Salmon, sides was Califlower and Broccoli.

So tomorrow, I weigh in and I'll start my apples. Already have tomorrow dinners planned as well ... so I feel like I'm staying a day ahead.
AND I went shopping today (hence the apples) and loaded up on good for me food.

LZ hope you are hanging in there, I've never been a big apple fan ... so we'll see. My 1st goal is 3 days.

As for my boys, they are exactly 3 years, 1 month and 2 wks, 14 hours old. But who's counting?

Ok all, I made it one and 3/4 day. i just had two pieces of pizza. I feel so much better.

So, you guys can beat me I'm sure. I like apples, but I don't really care if I eat another for a while.

In Search of Me, I have problems sometimes too. It gets so frustrating.

Raquel, only 15 more years until they graduate. Are you a SAHM?

Trauma, I flunked!

Ok Ladies, I am headed out to get my apples. Hubby had a boys night out with some of his fraternity brothers so I let him sleep in ( a little). I usually like to be AT the store when they open so this is a very late start for me. I LOVE apples so this should be a cinch for me. :)

InSearchofMe, I am here to cheer you on. Good luck!

Raquel, you too.

Trauma, yes it is supposed to clear you out. This modified version allows a normal dinner, so you can get some protein in then.
