Hey Ladies, Let's do this!!!!!

Mami we do have similar stats. I weighed in this morning at 235. Usually I weigh more in the evening, but whooop-tee-do I am still 235! But, my "official weigh-in isn't til tomorrow so I can't record it yet -nor can I celebrate too early. A day can make a difference.

Libby - yes you can start tomorrow, but today is as good a day as any....:-)

TOday's Report:
4:30 a.m. walked 30 minutes/about 1.5 miles (I only did this because i was awake since 2:30 am and couldn't sleep)
6:30 p.m. walked 30 minutes/ 1.6 miles

I ate good today - very little, but went to a restaurant and wasted $13 on a salad for lunch that I had no appetite to eat. - A co-worker and I were away at a meeting - so I HAD to have lunch with her. $13 valuable dollars bites the dust - that could have been 1/4 tank of gas. :-(

Hey MAMI

How about trading the 7 miles for 7 sets of 10 sit-ups/crunches (70 a day) or.........

No eating of any kind after 7pm

I kid you not - I lost much of my f irst 10 pounds largely due to me not eating after 6/7 pm. And that was without phen.

Hello! I'd like to join in too!! And I have difficulty with doing the 7 miles in walking (bad knees), but my body would definitely benefit in doing the 7 sets of situps/crunches at 10 reps a set, so I'll do that. My exercise will be doing my stationary bike each day for one hour, and it's so true, not eating after 7 pm in the evening, or at least 3 hours before going to bed, works wonders in weight loss!! Luv the challenge, let's do this thang!! :D

Welcome Aboard CDCreations!

I heard a lot about The Firm, but opted not to buy the tapes becasue my knees are bad too. No lunges, or squats, for me, but for some reason I can walk VERY fast, and even jog a little, but walking up 6 stairs is torture to my knees. Go figure.

Same for me too!! I cannot walk up steps, and avoid them, taking the elevator or escalator -- I see that we were both at the same highest weight, and I refuse to go back there ever again!! Wore a size 22 as well; don't know what my size is now; I've been "pinning" my pants to stay up with a safety pin, and my usual attire is big tops that hang over the waist, so I can still wear those, although they are getting a bit big too. I had a few pants that I had ordered online that were too small; I decided not to return them, and I'm glad I didn't, because they fit fine now, and are starting to get too big (18W); want to lose a few more pounds before shopping for smaller sizes --

Looking forward to doing this challenge!!

4mami: Hey, thanks for your compliment regarding my stats; I can hardly believe it myself! When I first started phen in November, my appetite was pretty much near zero, I didn't eat hardly anything on Thanksgiving or at the Christmas holiday dinners -- I put small portions of everything on my plate, but just took a few forkfuls of each, so that got me through those two months; I didn't know at the time that you really need to eat your calories, but I did know to drink lots of water. So then as I continued to read through the posts, I read that you really need to eat to stay healthy, so I started eating a bit more, continued to drink lots of water, and incorporated my stationary bike as a form of daily exercise. Got my favorite music, and pedaled to them, which I think helped to burn off the extra calories I had started to eat (around 1000 calories a day), and I think it also made my metabolism speed up too. I did not eat salads like the typical diet wants us to, I just ate small portions of the family's dinner. Instead of filling my plate up, I just took a few spoonfuls, left the rolls alone, and just continued to drink water. During the last month or so, when I was a member of the Valentine's Day challenge, one week, we had to burn 500 calories a day, then another week, we were not to eat after 7 pm, or 3 hours before bedtime. So I continued to do those challenges, even when the week was over. An example of my eating would be:
B: South Beach protein bar
S: small cup of fruit or apple
L: LC frozen meal
S: 100-calorie pack (other examples, nonfat yogurt, Fiber One bar, small orange)
D: tuna fish w/cucumber slices, a veggie (or whatever the dinner was for the night, just very small portions)

And then water throughout the day. I have learned that it's not about eating bowls of lettuce, stuff like that; it's about portion control, just eating smaller amounts, and also, no candy or sweets. I would also brush my teeth after dinner, then mouthwash, so I wouldn't want anything else before bedtime. But it is very hard to not eat after 7, so for this weekly challenge, I plan to eat a dill pickle in the evening; the taste will make me not want anything else --

Hope this information helps; I'm heading out of town now, but will be back tomorrow evening, and will check new posts then; good luck to all of us!! :)

Hello everyone. I would love to do this challenge with you guys. I started taking phen on the 16th. I have taken it before and lost 34lbs, but got pregnant in the process so you know what happens next. Anyway my starting weight is 282 and i am one that really do not like to get on the scales so i don't know what i hve lost thus far. I probably will not weigh in for the rest of the month. As for the 7 miles I kove to walk but do to the cold weather and all that is kinda out for the moment. I do have a ABLOUNGE so that is doable. I have been cutting back but I guess not enough. I just need a little motivation to do the right thing b/c I don't want to waste these pills. I also agree with the not eating after 6/7p.m. The only thing about that is you will be so hungry in the morning. I have been doing that on several days and I m about to starve about 7a.m.

Yes Libby, you are funn-eee!! This morning, I brewed one of those tea bags called 3 ballerina green leaf tea, and gurl, you don't have to wait all week for results, you don't even have to wait one whole day either!! That phen does that, stops you up, but for anyone who's interested, there is a long thread in "Experience with Phentermine" with lots of valuable information on constipation - if you need to, definitely check it out!! :)

I did okay, went to a nice restaurant for dinner Saturday night, and I stuck with the veggies and seafood. But with breakfast Sunday morning (a really nice buffet), I ate good, but ate way too much food, which was not a good thing! And I also didn't drink enough water either ... So I am so back on course for the rest of this challenge, and today has been excellent - lots of water, SB protein bar, chicken salad on lettuce (very small, bought from home), and I've got a nonfat yogurt for my afternoon snack. Dinner will be small, and I'm eating a pickle afterwards -- I also want to eat fewer calories/carbs this week --

4mami: So true, you really don't have to starve to lose weight, phen helps with being an appetite suppressant, and that will help you to be satisfied with the smaller amounts! I remember back when my plate would be piled high with food, but now, there is more plate to see than the food that's on it! :)

Tann T: I plan to do my bike this evening for an hour, and will do my floor workout afterward, doing my situps/crunches. Since I was out of town, I didn't work out like I should have, so I'm committed to doing my exercises every night this week!

Precious 33: Welcome! I hear you about being hungry in the morning when you don't eat anything after 7 - that happened to me too; when I woke up, my stomach would be grumbling and I would be so hungry. But I did find that after a while, the morning hunger pains lessened, still there, just not so uncomfortable ...

Have a great day today everyone!

today is my first day of 7-7-7 and im bout to go work out i normally do 45 mins so i will bump it up to an hour today and see how that goes. im not doing any toning because its most effective when your 30-20 pounds from your goal weight.. so i guess i will substitute that for 7 extra mins of studying lol and ill let you know how my weightloss goes :)

Good morning ladies! Just wanted to let you know that I had a great day yesterday, had a Lean Pockets for dinner (with water), and then a little bit later, when the munchies were starting to creep up, I went and got a kosher pickle, ate that, and was just fine! Pickles have only 5 calories, but about 200 grams of sodium, so I will have to watch that part, but wanted to let you know that it does work to curb the appetite and not want anything else!

I took my phen this morning, and am still working on my breakfast, which is an orange, so I will probably pass on my mid-morning snack - lunch will be the rest of my chicken salad with a whole cucumber, peeled and cut into slices. Worked out last night, biked for one hour, then stretched a bit with floor exercises. Don't know if I'll be able to lose the whole 7 pounds by Friday, but I definitely got back on the right track from the weekend, something I would not have done if it weren't for my challenges - have a great day all, and remember to drink lots of water today!! :)

TannT: Congratulations on completing your 7 mile challenge, excellent! I am so proud of you, I know it wasn't easy, but you hung in there and did what you had to do!!

I hope everyone is having a great day today! Today, while I was at work preparing my LeanPocket for lunch, I started up a conversation with another coworker. She was small, average size, not overweight at all, and I watched as she heated up her lunch - homemade spaghetti and piece of cornbread. The amount of spaghetti was no more than 3 tablespoons, and it was only 1/2 a piece of cornbread. It's just proof again, like I shared with 4mami earlier, that it is the portions of food that is the important factor to losing (or maintaining) weight. Of course, not fattening foods, but regular meals do not have to be off our list of things to eat; all we have to do is eat smaller portions. Just thought I would share that with my phrends today!!

TannT

Thanks Libby!

It does feel good to accomplish something new. I am certainly up for a Spring Challenge. I already decided to get on board with the EASTER Challenge.

Funny CDC I was looking a a small coworkers food today too-LOL. And I was amazed at how little food she had. It was the amount I'd feed my 7 year old daughter - who is a very picky eater. All in all - might have been a TOTAL of 6-7 teaspoons of food and she didn't even eat it all.

I was like "Oh - I guess that's how skinny people stay skinny?!" - I really had a serious Eureka moment - LOL. It's noty rocket science but heck - it took all my adult life to figure it out and make the connection - So yea- I agree - PORTIOn CONTROL is key. That is what Phen allows us to do.

*FUNNY BE BOTH OBSERVED THE SAME THING TODAY - HEHE

******aND We must also admitt, that 99% of us are overweight because we simply (and consistently) eat/ate too much.

I swear I use to eat (binge) sneak food, eat in private, etc etc. and was like "I don't know why I gain weight so easily." Basically - if NO ONE SAW ME IT - then as far as I was concerned It wasn't that much or it really didn't count............K-R-A-Z-Y!!

TannT: Funny that we checked out the lunch menu of the skinnies! Amazing the amount of food that people with no weight issues will eat. At my last job, it took a skinny secretary all day to eat one small bag of chips!! And then she had the nerve to take some of them home at the end of the day, good grief!! I would have inhaled that bag within the first 15 minutes!! :) Got a question, for this challenge, is the final weight recorded for Friday or Saturday? I use the scale at the gym here in my office building, it's just like the one in the doctor's office, so I guess I can only give my final weight of tomorrow (I've got my fingers crossed)!

And I have ended this week's challenge with two pounds, yes, yes, yes; not 7, but I'll definitely take the 2, and I'm thrilled!!! i lost 4 pounds....not bad - I am VERY CONFIDENT that I gained some muscle mass becasue my clothes are looser and I ate very little, and clocked more cardio in this week than I ever have before.

So To Total my challenge I think I eneded up walking 12 miles (I surpassed my 7 miles goal)
I got about 5 hrs of exercise in
and lost 4 pounds.

Not quite 7-7-7 but nothing to be ashamed of either!!!
