Hello again! I weighed in today and was shocked that I had lost another 7lbs. I can't tell you how happy I am. My boyfriend gets this sad look on his face when he sees that my butt is getting smaller (he's going to have to deal with it). I thought I hadn't lost much because I couldn’t tell where I had lost it at, but I will say that I was shocked to see my knee cap (LOL)! It's those small things that a person never really notices. I would like to thank all of you once again for the encouragement you have brought my way. I am truly blessed! Love you guys!

P.S. If you are reading this and you need a buddy that will motivate you, send me a private message!

I workout 5 times a week. My weight loss does seem like alot, but I weigh in every two weeks. I average around 3-5 pounds a week. I have to bust my butt for every pound or it won't come off! I love jogging and the eliptiical machines. They work my problem areas (thighs).

Sassylass, i know what you mean about yr knee-cap, i can just tell in my legs sometimes, I like to take baths sometimes and the other nite I was lying there and could just tell in my legs so I thought that was great!!! Great job on your weight loss. I had a stand still there for a week or so, but its going down again!

I'd love to have you as my buddy. I wasn't able to PM you though. My email is sharwalla7****.com.
Happy Losing. Haven't been on the scale in 5 days. Scared to get on it this morning. I haven't cheated at all and i am proud of that. Family had Burger King last night with the works. Hubby felt bad for me and gave me some of his burger without the bread. Sometimes I am just tooo tired to fix something just for myself and will eat sugar free jello and lowfat cottage cheese.

Sassylass, you are doing freaking awesome! I hope I have the same results as you do! When I started I was 202 lbs on Feb.2, 2008. Today (Feb. 19, 2008) I am 194 lbs. I walk/jog 3 miles a day, 7 days a week. I drink
8+ sevrings of water a day. Are you on a special diet or did you just cut back? I think me & you are/were the same size. I'm 5' 9' and now 194 lbs. My goal weight is 160 lbs. I can't wait to look good in a pair of regular jean shorts!

Hi I was reading your success stories and it's really encouraging
my name is Tamara and I have been contemplating taking phentermine for about a year now. I finally decided a week ago I really wanted to lose the weight and be healthier. I started taking it on Sunday 02/17/09. I was told that it would curve my appetite. So far no sucess, but I am eating less and smaller portions. I am currently at 197 and would like to between 160-165 by May (going to LAS VEGAS). I have just joined a gym and plan on working out at least 3 days a week. I just wanted a few words of advice to lose the weight quick and healthy.

Keep up the good work, it really makes me want to work harder.

OH my goodness! I think you and I are very simular! I have had amazing success also! At christmas I was in the 180's! I now weigh in at 165! I am doing really good on this, and I have to remind myself to eat! I have certain things I won't touch, like refined foods, (breads, pasta, sugar, potatoes etc) However, I will have small amounts from time to time... like in a soup... if there are potatoes I don't bother picking them out. I will eat a few croutons on my salad if they come with it. (I don't add them on) However, I just don't eat like I used to... you know.. the free for all mode!
I am pretty strict, because I think that having a plan really helps keep you on track.
I buy a dozen brown eggs, boil them, and keep them in a ziplock in the fridge (so they don't stink up the fridge :) That way, I have an instant protien when I am in a hurry or need to postpone eating something that I shouldn't eat. I swear by this!
* the reason I buy brown eggs, is because my kids know they are boiled, and not raw. The white ones are raw... :)
Keep lots of fresh veggies on hand. Pea Pods are soooo yummy raw! Those teeny tiny baby carrots in the individual serving pouches are really yummy! for some reason they taste better to me then the ones you have to cut up... and it is easy to grab.
I really like fresh blueberries, strawberries, kiwi's, and starfruit. These are all on the low glycemic index... low sugar, high anti-oxidants.
Lunches are usually always... SALADS! green leafy salads and olive oil and vinegar with spices. Fresh Lemon juice is yummy on the salad too. I usually add chicken or have tuna along side the salad or mixed in. About 3 oz.
Avacado halves with fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper... is a whole meal. It is yummy and the fat in the avacado is the healthy kind. If you are limiting the bad fats, and eating fresh foods, this kind of natural fat is really good for you. I just eat it with a spoon out of the shell. If you like avacados, this is a yummy, healthy meal!
Dinner... always a lean protien and veggies.
This is working for me~ I am so into it, and the weight is coming off! I think if I started limiting my salt, I may lose more water weight, but I like my salt~ maybe I can start cutting that back a bit. My goal is to hit an even 160 by march 1! I am going to make it!
OK.. you know what is soooo funny? The thing I was so excited about on my bod.... MY KNEES! I know exactly what you are talking about~ That has always been an issue with me~ I inherit this lovely trait from my grandma! Thanks Grams! But, I noiticed right away that they are shrinking! Wahoooooo!
Anyway... Have a fabulous day! Make it happen!
