I have always struggled with my weight. I grew up as the "fat one" in the family while I was surrounded by other family members who have always been thin. In high school, I joined a dance group and as I went through puberty I lost lots of weight, I got down to about 130, but I was so busy with school, I didn't even notice how thin I was. When I went off to college I slowly started to ignore my eating habits and stopped exercising regularly, so I slowly started to gain the weight back. Back in 2005, I ballooned all the way up to 238 pounds!
After realizing how Fat I have become, I started to take full charge of my life and started exercising and eating right. I would run everyday and I got down 194 pounds in six months which was such an amazing thing to do because I did it on my own. Then I graduated. After exercising constantly and dieting I COULD NOT go below 194, so I figured I had hit my plateau.
After graduation I moved back home to a small little town which does not have a gym to workout. Needless to say, I started eating regularly and just ignored the fact that I was gaining weight, because I figured that I was trying so hard already and stuck that the plateau, there was no point in trying anymore. Once again I ballooned to 212 which annoyed me.
I heard about a doctor in a town next to me that developed a diet plan which consisted of bi weekly b-12 shots and pills called "Phentermine". After I heard this I was really skeptical because I just felt that even if i did try this new diet I would eventually gain the weight back. But after weighing my options I put my fears aside I paid the doctor a visit.
When I weighed it I weighed in at 212... After I got the pills I was put on a strict no car no sugar diet for the first 30 days. After a few days on the pill I started to feel nauseous, had severe dry mouth and was experiencing side effects that were just bothering me. I concluded that i was the pill that did this to me, so I stopped taking it for about 4 days. After being frustrated with myself for giving up so easily I started taking the pills again. After 2 weeks I went back to the doctor and found that I had lost 12 pounds! it was such an amazing feeling to step on that scale and see 200!!!! To think that I had lost 12 pounds even after I got off the pill for 4 days was an amazing result.
I got my b-12 shot and started taking the pill with regular exercise (running for 30 min) for another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I weighed in at 192, another 8 pounds! I just got a refill on my pills and it has been 5 days since I weighed in and today i weighed in at 187! another 5 pounds. All I have to say is that this pill is amazing and it has helped me realize that I need to change my eating habits to lose weight and live a healthy life.
I plan on taking this pill for another 2 months, even if I don't hit my goal weight. I don't want to become dependent on this pill and I know with continued hard work and determination I will reach my goal and I wont be ashamed to say that Phentermine had a little part in helping me find the thin person that has been trapped in my body all along!
