How long has everyone been on phen? I've heard it can be habbit forming. If you have been taking it for awhile, do you feel like your body is getting use to it and had to go to a higher dosage?
I've been only taking phen for about 3 weeks now...I was just curious how long everyone has been on it.
Thanks!!!! ;)

I have been on the phen for two months now. I do not feel I have any sort of habit when it comes to the phen. I however do not take the phen everyday. I will take it four days and then off for two days, I usually try to skip it three times a week. When I read up on phen before start I read it was habit forming and how I could avoid that and that was the only suggestion I found. The funny thing is I still do not feel really hungry on the off days, I do have more of an appetite but I do just fine maintaining my meal plan. I think when people form a habit with it... they really like the energy increase and the high feeling some people experience. I however to do not get crazy energy anymore just in the beginning. I think rather it is habit forming depends on the person and if they have an addictive personality.

I've been on Phen since August 2006 with (4) - 6 weeks breaks in that year.
For me at about 2 1/2 mths and I can tell my body is starting to get immuned to it, doesn't work as well controlling hunger and I don't get that "rush" you do in the beginning. When this happens, I either take a break or change something - instead of 1 pill in the am, I split the pill and take it twice daily (7 am & 2pm)for a week or so and that has seemed to help.
The new dr I am seeing prescribes 37.5 mg Phen 10 mg prozac that's supposed to combat the "immunity" and even help with hunger, so the immunity thing with Prozac (PhenPro) is still up in the air for me, but I've read it has helped alot of people with it.
I went off for 3 full months now and gained weight back by not watching what I was doing (ugh) and I had no problems stopping when I decided to take a break.
I know there are a couple of others on here that have been on long term like me and have had great success, so you guys chime in too - they may only read my experience with phen forum instead of the success section, so you may want to post there if you haven't.
Good luck :)

I think I am going to try this approach. I haven't taken a brake from Phen yet. I might have skipped one or two days since October 1.
Thank you!!

I have been on Phen since June of 07. I have also heard that it is Habit forming but it hasnt been for me. I have atleast 70 to 100 left over pills from past prescriptions in my cabinet. I try to take it faithfully but find that some days I just dont remeber. It defintly has decreased its effectiveness somewhat. I dont have that crazy energy spike I had in the beginning. The only thing I really notice is that around 3pm if I have totlaly forgotton to take it I get really tired for about an hour then my body seems to kick back in. I was loosing about 15lbs a month but now its between 5 and 9lbs a month I guess the more u loose the slower it seems to go. Keep up the good work!! Happy New Year!

I'm addicted.
And 10 years ago, when I first used it for 3 months I was addicted then as well. We moved, couldn't get it. Gained all the weight and then some but during all that time, Phen never left my mind w/ my weight struggles.
When I was able to get it again ... I was seriously happy and now again ... addicted. I love what it does for me - and ... I've never experienced the energy burst, but man I bet that would just be the cherry on top!
