Hello everyone,

I was relieved to find an online support group for phentermine. I started on the 15th. I was concerned about taking the phen because my BP was borderline-risk. However, the weight loss and EXCERCISE (moving continuously for 12 hours at a time lol) has actually decreased my BP! The reason I chose New Beginning for my Blog and the title of this message is because we just entered into the new Jewish year 5768 the 8 in Hebrew represents new beginnings. I don't know about everyone else but I so desperately needed a New Beginning where my weight/health was concerned and I posted in the success stories because I believe that this new beginning will be a success!

Hey thanks for the reply!!

I didn't know if it actually showed up or not. My doctor also gives me a weekly shot of B12 with HCG (this is suppose to melt fat around the stomach and hips.) Is anyone else taking these shots along with the Phentermine?

PMS was no phun! It was my first menses on Phen and considering my hubby said," I hate PMS week" and I replied, "you should have married a man"...it was interesting to say the least. I thank God that I have a VERY understanding husband!

I am so glad to be done with that (although cramping now) I called the pharmacy and you can take IBP! So I have just taken my second one! I walked a mile today although I don't like to get a in a regular habit of walking because I will have thunder thighs in no time doing that. It was a nice walk.

I have been on Phen for 12 days. Yesterday I was upset because of the 4 pounds I thought I had lost I put two back on but considering I started today I'm sure it was water weight.

I feel great and my BP is lower. I took one day off to just rest and boy did I need it! I have found that a lot of crankiness is due to lack of sleep. Drinking mucho water is a big help for me too!

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of the weigh down workshop but it is a great weight loss program. I did this before without Phen and lost 30 pounds so I want to incorporate this back into my life. It is the only way of dieting that works for me. I don’t have time to count calories, fat grams, go to the gym regularly and also purchase all frozen foods. As we all know Phen is a tool to help us get back on track. So I am going to incorporate WD so when I go off of Phen (AT THE IDEAL WEIGHT ) I will be able to keep it off. I planned to watch the first video on Sunday but I didn't get a chance to do it. When I finally watch it I will post information for those of you that hate dieting and need a lifestyle change you can live with!

Hope everyone is doing well! DON'T GET DISCOURAGED JUST KEEP GOING!

Hello :).Can I ask you why you would get thunder thighs getting into a regular habit of walking? I am just curious :).

I am sharing tips from the Weigh Down Workshop (http://wdworkshop.com). The basis of this program is to transfer your hunger for food to a hunger for God. The only diet rule is to just eat when you are hungry and stop when you are satisfied. I previously lost 30 pounds on this program alone. I am going to use this as a maintenance program. I realize that if you are disciplined, a strict diet and excercise program works great (esp. with Phen). However, I am the first to admit that for the long haul this would not be a wise choice for me because I am not very disciplined. So, this is an alternative for those of us that are a little less motivated. I hope some of these tips can help you on your weight loss journey as well! :)

Week One "Revealing The True Hunger"
1. God created our heart to serve only one God at a time. For some it's alcohol, others it's drugs or sex and for some it's food. :o God intended us to hunger for Him and when we are empty on the inside we will try to fill the emptiness with food. The problem with running the refrigerator to fill pain is that you end up looking like one.

2. Dieting contributes to weight gain because it puts your focus on food. Counting calories, fat grams ect. keeps your mind on food all day (which is what you are trying to avoid doing.) Eating only fat free foods or sugarless foods only make the food behave but it does nothing to stop your desire to want to overeat.

3. Learn to distinguish between head hunger and heart hunger. We need to only eat when our stomach growls or we are feeling true hunger. When our blood sugar drops the brain sends a signal and releases hydrochloric acid which causes the stomach to growl. Many people are afraid of feeling hungry. God made our bodies perfect. Our bodies want to use the stored fat on our hips and stomach and can only do so when we allow our "gas tank to become empty. " Your body will talk to you if you listen. If you are hungry-eat, If you are thirsty-drink and if you are tired-sleep. It's actually a simple process.

Tips for learning to eat only what your body is calling for..

Cut your food in half and eat only that amount.
Rate your food and instead of saving the best bites for last, eat the best bites first so that it is easier to resist the least desired food on your plate after you are satisfied.
Eat slow and take drinks of water in between bites.
Always ask for a take out box when eating out and put half of your food in the box immediately so you won't be tempted to overeat.

*When you feel an urge to eat & you are not truly hungry, go to God or His Word. The bible is not just a history book it's more like a telephone to God. He is the only one that can truly fill us.

Hi Rebekah!

I have been thru the weighdown workshop classes several times. And I also believe it is a wonderful way to manage weight and to live. I have had a difficult time getting my extra 15 pounds off and so I am turning to phentermine. But after I loose the weight I want to use the principles of weigh down to maintain the loss. I know I can keep it off with what I've learned in weigh down if I can just get all the weight off. I am hoping phentermine will help me accomplish this.

Blessings,

April

It's nice to meet you. I am glad to hear someone else has participated in this program. Did you have a successful weight loss with it?

I am so excited! I knew that I had lost a few more pounds! I got a new digital scale at Wal-Mart and I had lost a few more pounds! Now I understand when weightloss is slow and some of the pros tell the newbies to just wait and it will come off! It's true, eventually it will come off. I think if you are doing tons of bodybuilding excercise you won't loose much at all because you are converting fat to muscle, which weighs more. I build muscle so fast that if I were to be on a weightlifting program, I could give Arnold Swartznegger a run for his money ! :D

I understand the frustration when you look at other posts and someone has lost in one week what took you a month or two to loose. The truth is that we are all different body types, our metabolisms are not the same AND we are all using different weight loss methods. I am the type that I loose all over my body evenly because that is how I gained the weight. The pain of hearing smeone close to you say, "you may be loosing, but I can't really see it" fades away when I try on those tight fitting clothes and they are not so TIGHT ANYMORE! :p

For me, hand-eye coordination excercises are the best. Things like dancing, raquetball or aerobics. However, weightlifting for my body type is not good. I also know if I could cut out all sugar I would loose alot more too. However, I am trying to be realistic with myself for the long run. There is no way I could do a no/low carb lifestyle. I would be lying to myself if I said that I could. I have low blood sugar and eating several times a day with small portions works better for me. That is why this program WD Workshop is the best for the long run for my situation. Everyone is different so you have to find what works for YOU.

I will watch week two sometime soon and I will post all the tips and advice from that video.

I also take the Phen / B12 / HCG combo. I have lost 31lbs in about 2 months...so far it has been pretty easy. Seems to be "melting" off! So no real side effects from this combo...just a little grouchy sometimes! Good luck!

Tami,

Congratulations on the massive weight loss! You go girl! I only take 15.0 mg of Phen once a day. What is your dosage?
