Hello all.

I was gone for a while...couldn't get on the new forums with password trouble...but I'm still on the phen and losing the weight.

I'm now a total of 52 pounds down and at my lowest weight in over 8 years! I still have another 36 pounds until my goal, and then after I get there I want to go another 25 but a lot slower.

My question is this...I absolutely love food...I have tried a couple days off phen and have found that when I do the cravings are just about as bad as when I was the original Fatty McB. When I get off this stuff I'm scared to death that I'lll skyrocket back up and blow this. How do some of you keep the balance of eating well but treating yourself now and then?

Let me know your secrets and inner most ideas!

well i love food to and i to stop just to see how i would react after not taking it for a week and i gained about 2pnds i was kinda upset but the way i look at it now is if im gonna have a treat i have to make sure im willing to excercise even harder so the weight wont come back. so if i have a hamburger instead of salad i know that im going to be excercising longer than a half an hour and if i know i not gonna feel like excercising than i know i better have that salad and thats what works for me

McB, I just can't call you Fatty, the very first thing I learned on this weight loss journey, was that I love food is not an answer as to why we, and I do mean we, all overeat. There is a reason for it somewhere deep inside. I was eating out of boredom and habit. If you will take about a week and listen to your body and eat only when you are hungry, not when you just want something, but when you are actually hungry, you will find that after awhile you won't have the cravings as much. Once you get a handle on that then you can treat yourself once in awhile. I usually do it on the weekends. It gives me something to look forward to and also I know that eating light during the week will allow me to do so. Sometimes I am hungry in the evenings, after the phen has worn off or either during the weeks I'm not on it and I just have to say no. And I had to learn to live with not going to get something to eat at 9 or 10:00 because I have had enough to eat for the day. Everybody learns to balance it out in a way that works for them. What you have to remember is this is a lifetime commitment. So if you don't figure out why you are eating like you are then you will have a hard time keeping the weight off because we can't take phen forever. And of course you do have to exercise. Water, the right food and exercise are the keys to weightloss and keeping it off. Not the phen. I admire you for what you have accomplished so far. Keep up the good work and figure out what works for you.
