I have been on Phen (for the 2nd time) 4 months. I have done pretty well with not wanting to cheat on my diet plan, until the past week. I don't know whether the Phen is losing it's effect? Or...am I just bored with it and wanting to give in and eat? I have about 50 more pounds to lose. I want to lose real bad!!! Is there anyone out there that can tell me how to stay motivated?

When I took Phen before (16 years ago), I noticed that the meds did tend to not be as strong over time--I guess we just get a bit used to them, like any other drug, and their effect dies down a tad. I encourage you to be strong--you CAN do this! I've just gotten started on Phen again 2 weeks ago and have lost 5 lbs. I have told myself that I can't take this stuff forever, I'll have to learn to deal with my appetite when I go off Phen. When I find myself feeling "nibbly," I find something to do--clean something, take my children somewhere, etc. Or I look at how my favorite shorts are getting baggier and say "If this is what 5 lbs off feels like, imagine what 10 or 15 will feel like" and that helps me a lot. Hang in there!

I had the same problem in the past. I started on Phen at about 207 pounds a couple of years ago. Did pretty well with weight lost. I had gotten down to like 173 lbs. Then all of a sutton I was at 248lbs today. I hate myself for this and now deceided this time I will be very health sawvy. I have to be hard on myself before someone else does.

honestly I know alot of people say not to live on the scale, but for me weighing myself everymorning first thing really keeps me focused. You see where your cheating here and there adds up and your less inclined to do it I think...

Hi. I can only answer for myself, but the only way that I am able to maintain when I'm off is to look at my "diet" as a lifestyle change. If I don't see the way I've eaten for the last 5 months as a "for life" thing, I can't do it. I decided that when I took my first Phen pill that I would have to change the way I view food for the rest of my life. Have I had bad days? Heck yes, but that's all they are...a day. I pick myself up and start over. I refuse to be where I was. I was not happy with myself. I'm not competely happy now, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. :) I feel better about myself now. Do I eat junk? Every once in a while. But it is not horrible that it is every now and then. My body has gotten used to eating "clean" and I physically hurt when I have an off day.

Good luck in your journey. If it helps, look at old pics of you before you started Phen. That always puts things in perspective for me.
