O.k. first off no laughing, ahhh what the heck go ahead and laugh!!! I am a 46 year old Grandmother of 4 and I have not played childish games in years, because of my size. Yesterday my 8 year old grandaughter stayed with me for a while and she asked me to go out and play with her. First she drew all over my driveway with sidewalk chalk, then she drew a hopscotch board and asked me to play hopscotch with her. I did !!!! and the amazing part is I didn't break anything in the process. I read these posts everyday and they give me such encouragement to keep going and the belief that I can do this, so far it is working, and I am determined that it will continue to work, next I will drag my dusty old bike out of the storage building and ride with my grandchildren. They are my inspiration, they will not be young forever and I need to make them some memories to cherish after I am gone, I don't want to sit and the porch and watch, I want to play!!!!!

You all will never know how much I appreciate this forum and every member of it. God Bless you all.

Way to go Terry! I am jealous that your grandchildren are close enough for you to play with! My two grandsons are both in Reno. :(
Doesn't it feel great to have more energy?!!

That is so great! I am sure your grandkids will look back so fondly on you playing with them when they are older and have grandkids of their own. You are making some great memories! Kudos to you for all of your amazing progress so far! :)

The energy is wonderful, but at the weight I was, I would never have attempted playing hopscotch, my knees and ankles wouldn't have withstood it.

Another tip that I learned I will pass on to others: you have to eat and you have to drink lots and lots and lots of water.

Did I mention to be sure to drink lots of water???? lol

My 3 year old grandson has been here this past week and has really inspired me. He is soo full of energy.
I loved hopscotch when I was a girl. I was recently wondering if I could do it, am 45 years old and am starting to look at new and different activities that I could do that I have never done or haven't done in a long time!

HUGS to you! I'm not laughing, I'm thinking about it too.... :) Fellow Hopscotcher!
