I've been reading posts for a long time now and you're answers always seem very knowledgable.
i'm 5'9 weigh 180 for the past five years give or take. I could eat all salads and drink water and be within five pounds of 180 or eat hamburger and not workout and be within 5 pounds. I've tried every diet and my friend finally told me about phentermine 37.5 which i ordered online. Her friend had taken it and lost 9 pounds in 1st week nad 5 pounds second week. She had more weight than i do so i wasn't expecting that, however i think in the short time i've been taking the medicine i've already developed a tolerance for it? I'm on day 10 and I have lost only a total of 4 pounds? I have not exercised any more or less during this time frame, i've noticed at first i was sleepless but now can take naps with ease, i use to be jittery but am no more. I've been on an approximate diet of 1,300 cals to 1,500 per day the whole time, exercised moderately throughout time period. My TOM is coming up but, that should be that drastic, why am i not losing? Thoughts? comments? I even gained. I was 180 to start, lost five in first week 175, went out of town on vacation and was very good on diet (surprised even myself) and continued chugging my water and green tea, cutting out the few diet soda's i did drink and am back from vacation now and am 176.2??

Hey- Thanks for the compliments- it keeps me motivated to stay on track!
I posted on your other thread before I saw this one... Read that and private message me if you have any questions.
I don't think I answered the tolerance question in the other post- I doubt you have a tolerance to it.
Are you eating similarly to how you ate before you started phen? If so, maybe you should try switching up what and how you are eating. Try the food journal- there is fitday.com which is pretty good (although their calorie counts tend to be higher on the packages of what I buy- so I pretty much customize everything). And it gives you a breakdown of what you've eaten (carbs, protein, fat). I personally try to eat less than 30 grams of fat each day. Granted it is VERY hard to stick under that number, but high protein- low fat meats, cheese, and milk are what works.
Here's a site that gives your basal metabolic rate http://www.room42.com/nutrition/basal.shtml you want to eat less than your basal rate to lose weight.
Also, try not to look at the scale around TOM. I fluctuate anywhere from 2-6 lbs during that week- and I'm on the pill, so I shouldn't have that much bloating, but I still do.

Stuipd question, how do i get a little icon ticker thing that will keep my weight progess on here like everyone else?

go to tickerfactory.com and pick out the parts :) there are other ticker sites, but that's the one I use
