I went to a salon yesterday that I have gone to twice before with very good results. Yesterday I saw another stylist though. I told her and showed her excately how I wanted my hair( the same way I have been getting it for 3 years!) The color I picked out had no red in it what so ever and I even asked if it would have red tones to it since I had such dark hair and she said no. Now my hair is nothing like the 10 pics I pointed out( and I know I was not being unrealistic because the other stylist had no problem doing it) and my haircolor is redish brown being more red than brown!
My question is do I just have to live with this or can I go back and tell her I am unsatisfied and ask her to work on it some more.I spent $158 including shampoo and some serum. I do not feel like I got my moneys worth at all!
Thanks for any suggestions in advance

I was a hairdresser for 15 years, and I worked at many different salons. I would say, yes, definitely, you can go back and have it corrected free of charge. But it all depends on the salon. If you went to a "chain" salon, that should be no problem. But if she booth rents, she "could" deny you the service free of charge, and charge you. Hope that helps.

I would flip out. Go back and have her fix it. The sooner the better. I have a love hate relationship with my stylist. I only keep her because she is good. Call and make an appointment to go back like yesterday.

You need to go back to her and tell her you are unhappy with what she did. Tell her she must have misunderstood what you wanted her to do. You may want to talk to the owner or manager at the sametime. Even give them a quick call today and talk to them about it. Most salons, if they are any good will recolor your hair for free. It won't take much to do it either, just a little ash brown to cut the red out and you'll be perfect. But call them and don't feel bad about it. It's their job to make sure it's done the way you ask them too, your the paying customer. Good LUCK!!!
