Difference.... Apidex, Ionamin, etc???

Can anyone tell me how the different capsules&tablets differ?? As far as I know I have recently been taking the Apidex....or possibly the generic (tablets stamped A-159, i assume that means apidex??)
I am not so sure if they are good quality. They seem to not as effective as some other tablets taken last year. I prefer the tablets because I am very sensitive and can take a half or quarter tablet . I am afraid the capsules will be too strong.

Hi Beena,

I do know the 37.5mg tablets you mention with the imprint A-159 are from Amide Labs. They are generic phentermine. I did not like this brand at all and ended up flushing them down the toilet. I was a zombie on 1/2 tablet & couldn't move off my couch. They were nothing like the Eon Labs generics I used to take years ago. I feel like they should not have even been put on the market! I just ordered the higher priced brand name Adipex-P 37.5mg tablets made ONLY by Gate/Teva Pharmaceuticals. I should receive them today or tomorrow. I will keep you posted as to how they affect me, etc.

I was so tired of trying generics that didn't do a thing for me, so I'm springing for the more expensive Brand name product.

Anyone else out there with a story??

Did they make you feel tiered and depressed??? I have been getting exauhsted in the early afternoons and been taking naps. I almost feel a little depressed, which is totally unlike me. I think I am going to order the name brand phen. Anyone have any reccomendations on which is best????

I've been experiencing the same thing. I took 37.5 generic about 1 year ago from eon labs and I loved them. The worst ones I noticed were from purepac labs and refuse to buy them again. The other ones that are okay but don't give me as much energy but do control my appetite are the one from able labs which I'm currently taking now. Some times it's just worth to purchase the brand name one.

Beena, I hope you find one that works well for you. I don't believe that being tired and depressed are typical side effects of phen. It is very confusing to know which one is right for you, I agree on that. I'm going by trial & error myself. My Adipex-P just arrived--See my note below, and hang in there Beena :)

Hey Chanel, I do know that Eon Labs doesn't make any 37.5mg tablets so you had to be taking another generic in this strength. I just read this online somewhere also. I'm sure we'd LOVE to know what the tablet's imprint ID was stamped with, however, I feel that after reading many posts by others, some absolutely love a particular generic and the next person may hate it and refuse to take it again. Case in point: Purepac generic 37.5mg tablets. They either love this one or hate it! Seems like it's according to how each med affects a particular person and is unique to each individual and our systems react so differently.

I just received the Adipex-P 37.5mg tablets made by Gate/Teva Pharm. yesterday. I will start on 1/2 tablet this a.m. & the other 1/2 tablet in the afternoon. Please pray that it agrees with me because I paid over $100.00 for 30 of them... Ouch!

yeah me too, I bought mine from here though, and I thought they were the Adipex ones. But I will say this, Generic or none Generic they have the same ingredients in them, so I am not sure why they are acting differently. Sometimes though the make up of your body changes and so drugs won't act the same as it did a couple of years ago.

OK, I had to go back and look at what I ordered. I ordered from here and I got 30 of them for $89 plus the shipping. Which they shipped it Lightning FAST. It says it is Phentermine.

Well I started on 12/23/04 with Phentermine 37.5 mg and as of today I've lost 6lbs. So far I'm pleased with the results. The only complaint I have is the hot flashes I get an hour after I take them that has sweat pouring off my brow that I have to go sit down for about 10 minutes or so. Other than that, they are fine. I'm gonna be starting my work out's on my Gazelle tomorrow and increase my water intake. I'll keep everyone posted.

I just received my first bottle of Adipex-P today too. I was on some phen 12 years ago and lost 70 lbs in 4 months...I had gone to a Doctor to do this but I cant for the life of me remember what the pills looked like. I do remember that I was taking 2 pills a day..I believe a capsule in the morning and tablet in the afternoon. I hope for the price that I paid for these pills that I can get at least 1/2 of the same affect.
