I am starting Phen tommorrow and was wondering how much I should expect to lose the first couple weeks. I quit smoking a few months ago and gained 10 pounds!!!!! I'm to the point that I'm ready to smoke just to lose the weight. I am going on vacation Feb 3rd and getting married April 23...soooo..I can't afford to gain anymore weight.

Thanks everyone

I lost about 7 pounds the first two weeks. I lose about 10 pounds a month! I was looking at my weigh in's and every single month it was about 10. And for smoking. I quit in May, and just started again like 3 weeks ago. I HATE IT! I don't want to smoke. And I won't! Starting today! My chest feels like crap and my throat hurts. I don't want to be a smoker. Good for you for stopping! Don't smoke! I'm begging you. I think I decided that I really don't want to smoke! I WILL DO THIS! I need something to obsess over, I lost weight, now I have to stop smoking AGAIN!

Hi Diane,

First of all, congrats on quitting smoking I know how hard that must be but you can do this and you will do it. You will feel so much better! As far as how much weight you can expect to lose? It differs but I know the first few weeks you lose mostly water weight and it really all depends on how your eating and if you exercise. If you are exercising you can expect to lose more but just make sure your drinking alot of water cause that helps big time!!!

Hey Diane the next time you feel you need to smoke go for a jog/run and see the importance of your lungs!! Ive never smoked and Im glad to hear you have stopped. Phen, exercising, and eating right (dont starve) will help you lose the weight before your wedding day! I lost about 5 my first week and after that each week was different I even hit a plateau! Ive been on phen for almost one month and it has been so helpful. In case I dont run into you again before your wedding Congratulations and Best Wishes.

thanks everyone! Kristin...I know what you mean about your chest and throat feeling like crap...I don't miss that at all. I really have no desire to smoke but know that if I do the weight will come off. I'm going to try the Phen and hopefully that will help me to lose. I was on it before (5yrs ago) and was eating about 400-500 calories a day....I know....not healty but I was completly obsessed. I lost about 20 pounds in about 1 1/2 months...I don't want to get into that cycle again b/c I looked like I was sick...

thanks for the info guys...

Hey, even fat people smoke cigarettes. I still have the desire to return to smoking, but it was so very difficult for me to quit. I finally did 5 years ago. Just when I think about smoking to lose weight....is when I see a very, very fat person puffing on a cigarette. Cigarettes were such a great companion and friend for me. I know it is hard to quit, but you can do it!
