Does whatever you donate get to where you intended it to go?
Here's an Eye-Opener!
As you open your pockets for yet another natural disaster, keep these facts in mind:
Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO
of the American Red Cross... salary for year ending 06/30/03 was $651,957 plus expenses.
Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous expense benefits.
The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing)
for managing this $2 billion dollar organization.

Due to the high cost of living now days, Miss Michelle, you should at least put in a dollar, instead of the .02 cents, & yes, I know you by now & value your opinion. Thanks.

My little country was recently hit by donation storm when a one top man of this National Kxxxxx Foundation was found to be spending the donation $$$ like water and even wanted to install a gold plated tap in his private office... He and some of his "staff" flew first class and behave like King/Queen... so sad, for those who are involved in the fund raising. They put in so much effort and volunteer freely only to see what happened behind the scene. :( Public who donated are ordinary salaried people and are not well-off...

That's really sad... I always wonder myself about where the money really goes..but my family and I are grateful for what we have recieved to help us out due to Katrina.. It's not much but every little bit feels like a whole lot.We lived in Biloxi Ms on the beach and was placed up here in Ellisville.. Fema has placed us in a low income apartment.. we drove down to the coast this past weekend to see my little brother in his concert and I tell you everything is still in piles.. My husband and i thought we would move back after things started to get picked back up - but there is nothing to go back to.. I pray the best for all of AL,Ms,and LA
